CASE OF THE MONDAYS I'm usually dragging on the first day of the week.....and so is this Taco Bell. By my estimates, I've reviewed nearly 10 Taco Bells across the tristate area and the general consensus is T-Bell = three stars, regardless of location.  This one on Larkin Ave in Joliet is no different, a bit rough around the edges. The drive-thru is SLOW, there's potholes a-plenty in the parking lot, street signage was falling down at some point, and often times prices online don't match what's posted at the restaurant.  The tattooed woman who works the window has been either very friendly or totally disengaged. The chicken cantina quesadilla is delicious, however, and it comes with sour cream and avocado salsa verde.  This is one of the rare items that tastes better than you'd think. The mini salted caramel churros (3 for $3) were pretty good but very small. Taco Bell now offers a "discovery" luxe box ($9), "supreme" luxe box ($7), and a "classic" luxe box ($5), which are all variations of the same sawdust-and-nonsense menu items dressed up in a slightly larger box.  The 5-layer burrito looks like excrement. * TL;DR * Bring back the volcano taco!  That is all. I neither love nor loathe Taco Bell these days.  In my college years, the Cool Ranch Doritos Locos and 'fiery' tacos were my go-to.  Now it's basic nacho cheese or nothing.  The aforementioned cantina chicken quesadilla is legitimately good but that's about it. read more

Service is quick, but food is made wrong. Order comes out wrong every time and it doesn't seem to be the freshest ingredients.

During lunch rush, my order was made and completed in only a few minutes. Only took me about 10 minutes to wait in line. If they would of taken double that time I would still be happy! It is not the workers fault that they run out of things, almost every fast food place is out of several things in this area. They are short staffed and are working their asses off in there to get the line moving and complete orders for everyone inside the building as well. The person taking payment was taking orders as well and was doing a wonderful job! You never know what is going on behind the scenes, be appreciative these workers are coming in to serve YOU everyday. Best Taco Bell in this area, workers deserve the praise! read more

Doors always locked and no one answers the drive thru. Waiting in line with the rest of the big dummies for nothing

these people where rude for no reason and do not know how to communicate properly. we went to go order and we're looking at the menu while the window was closed and didn't hear them and then they suddenly gave us an attitude for not being able to hear them because our window was closed. read more

if I could give zero stars I would. Sat in drive thru for 20 mins then order was completely wrong and even tho it is only 8pm the lobby is locked. We called, knocked and no one answered either and waved St us to get back in the damn drive thru line YET AGAIN just so we can get the correct food??? Never NEVER coming to this location again. WORST TACO BELL I'VE EVER BEEN TO. Terrible service. Blue haired night manager has a bad attitude and doesn't care about customers. The wait was ridiculous and the only competent staff member was getting off of work and realized that we had not got our order. We order 2 tacos and 2 mini quesadillas and waited 20 min. The quesadillas were slopped together so bad they were impossible to eat. Manager didnt care and said she "didn't need the attitude" Thats place is a joke. DON'T GO! read more

Waited 30 minutes in line. Got no apology for the long wait once I got to the window. Realized part of order was wrong so they had me pull around to wait 10 more minutes. Got home only to realize that the rest of my order was wrong as well. Pretty much threw everything away. The fact that the employees there take home a paycheck for being nimrods is insulting to me. read more

This taco bell is managed by Satan herself. I had a terrible experience at drive through on Free Taco day. The employees had trouble getting me two tacos and nacho's. They first gave me three tacos, asked for them back and then gave me one. The chips for the nachos were dumped into the bag, the taco was crushed, and i didn't get the free locos taco. When i called later to talk with a manager and said I wanted an apology and a refund, she said, "You lost your mind," and hung up. I called back and said I was the guy she said lost his mind, she then said you are lost your MF mind, said good night and hung up. I posted a complaint with corporate, and am posting to everywhere I can to warn people about this place. read more

Could you actualy put some lettuce, meat and cheese on the tacos. C'mon, three pieces of cheese and three strands of lettuce just doesn't cut it. Good for a quick bite to eat, but don't expect much. read more

honestly can't think of a time I've had a good experience here. I work 2nd shift, and have been here after work (11:30p-12a) numerous times, only to be told they aren't taking orders. We went last night at 8:30 pm and they weren't taking orders. I don't know how this location is even open at this point. They're always out of something or "not taking orders" read more

I tried to come here for lunch today but decided to go else where. I walked in and stood at the register for 10 mins before I walked out. Several employees seen me standing there along with several others waiting for there food and never even said just 1 min please. When I walked out I decided to call the manager and inform them of my experience but the manager didnt care and was unapologetic about any of it then hung up at the first chance she got. Easily the worst Taco Bell I've ever been to. I've been there a few times, giving them multiple chances to prove me wrong, and they have never produced a fully correct meal. Overcooked, undercooked, missing items, sparse or wrong ingredients, and poorly prepped items are the norm. All but once the cashier/drive thru personnel has been underqualified. Avoid like the plague. Drive to any other one in the area. read more

I don't expect much from Taco Bell because it is well, Taco Bell. Gave me a cup 3/4 full with soda, I had to ask for sauce and I even had to ask for a bag for my meal. They tried to skimp me out of so much it felt like the items came out of the worker's paycheck. Avoid this location! read more

Best Taco Bell around (except for the one in Crest Hill). If you order the cheesy fiesta potatoes, remember to add creamy sauce. The carmel apple empenadas are good as well, but ask for the workers to make them hot. The nacho cheese crunch burrito is going to be coming out soon, so make sure to check that out as well. If you visit this location, ask for Mo or Michael and your stay will be memorable. read more

Wonderful staff! Best I've ever seen. We didn't catch the name of the young lady that assisted us and regret that. We went in for a Freezie and left with so much more! Friendly, informative and personable staff. The restaurant itself was also exceptionally clean. Thank you so much! read more

Stopped by ( after the noon lunch hour ) for a $1 multi layer nacho and a hard shell taco supreme. In the 20+ minutes it took to receive my order I watched 4 people in front of me gradually get their orders. 3 of the 4 complained about their order not being correct and the fourth finally got her salad but they had run out of forks. Still waiting, a new customer comes in and is told he can't order if paying with a $20 bill because they ran out of $5 bills for change. I finally see what I assume is my carryout order being put on the counter. For the fun of it, I wait a bit to see if they call my name. They don't, so I approach, look in bag and see a nacho and taco wrapped up. I leave and when going to eat my taco, wrong taco. Not a supreme and was a Doritos taco thing ( no sour cream which is why I ordered the supreme ) not the reg taco I ordered. The whole experience was comical. I may go back though and just order a drink ( can't mess that up? ) and sit back and enjoy some free entertainment watching peoples reactions when they get their orders. read more

I come for the food, it is ok, the customer service was pretty darn terrible I must say, but none the less the food is good.

The chips for the salsa were crumbs how are you suppose to dip them. Meat was tasty but 2 inches along the whole edge had no cheese or meat. Would be worth it if the items filled the shell but other wise too expensive for empty edges. Disappointed read more

If I could put negative stars I would. I have frequented this location since 2004 and over the past two years, the customer service has declined. This location is never open! I went through the drive-thru on 8/18/19 and once again the closed sign was on the intercom. Two weeks prior I came here and it was also closed! I would say 2/3 visits this location is closed down or they are out of something like chicken or beef. The staff is extremely unprofessional and if I do manage to order something here the order is incorrect. If you manage to arrive when it's open you'll be in line for a good 20+ minutes. It seems like there is no management at this location. Employees take care of you when they feel like it and you can see the lack of enthusiasm from everyone working there. Like they are doing you a favor by even answering the intercom. I really hope this gets turned around. I don't usually leave reviews like this but the last visit was my breaking point. read more

Food was ok although my taco meat was a little cold. If I could make one recommendation for this place (and most fast food places) - train your staff on people and communication skills while working the drive through window. I was asked if I wanted any sauce and said yes, mild please. The worker didnt hear me and proceded to screem "WHAT" in a very unpleasant manner - almost like nails on a chalkboard feeling. I'm not asking for a long conversation at the drive through - but how about a "here is your order," "thank you," etc. They try to do so well when you first pull up by asking how you are - but now it seems so rehearsed and fake when a major difference occurs at the window.
