Food was horrible, and when I ordered the fiesta taco salad only AFTER I PAYED, the guy gives us the food & I check before driving away & there's no sauce& no salsa. So we ask for salsa and the guy says they don't have any, so we say can we have another sauce then like atleast the avocado ranch sauce, he says nope don't have any with such an I don't care attitude and we tell him it would've been nice to know that when we were ordering, he just did not care at all. The service was fine and the food was just like any other Taco Bell. This location has a really weird smell though...it might be the combined scents of Pizza Hut, Subway and Wings Street wafting over and from the gas station/mini food court that's connected to the Taco Bell. Wow, I'm absolutely astonished on now terrible my overall experience was here. For starters, one of the employees was just sitting in the dining area with the headset taking a drive thru order. He sat on his phone for about another 5 minutes before he realized there were people standing in line waiting to order. After the long wait just to order. My food took over 25 minutes when there was only 1 person in front of me and the drive thru was empty. New cars then started to roll in and they kept cranking out orders for the drive through while the wait inside of the dining room became longer just to order and then wait even more time for the food. Once I finally got my food and had to leave in a hurry I realized my order was missing a hashbrown and had tomatoes, when I asked politely through my order to not have tomatoes. Eureka! I have found my go to place for delicious, hearty, and authentic Mexican cuisine. I live about 5 hours north of Lost HIlls in northern Sonoma county, and I make the trek to this culinary oasis at least 5 times a week. Crispy tacos stuffed with perfectly seasoned all American beef, fresh shredded lettuce, and hand grated sharp cheddar cheese. Hearty burritos filled to the brim with immaculately cooked refried beans. And my word such a vast array of soft drinks to chose from! And perhaps the most exquisite packets of salt I have ever had the pleasure of ripping open and pouring directly on my tongue. I give this Taco Bell location a 4 for their customer service. The cashier was super friendly, especially for a busy holiday weekend. He took my ordered and asked for my name. Because my name (LAM) is not common he asked how to spell it which I can appreciate (see my photo at Starbucks - epic fail). In addition, he was knowledgeable of the menu so he was able to answer my question with ease. When my food came out they called out my order by name. I was pleasantly surprised with the service. I had a great experience here, well executed Taco Bell favorites, courteous service, no real complaints. Going to places along the 5, I often get the impression that a lot of diners go into their meals in a bad mood (driving in a car full of kids, unhealthy lifestyles, etc) and don't give the good folks that run these places a chance. The 5 freeway is a real crucible of all sorts of folks and frankly 90% look like the people I hated dealing with when I worked in restaurants. With2 cars ahead of us, it took 15 minutes for our car to get to the window.!needless to say, he was not pleased , as we were traveling 5 more hours. Haven't even tasted the food yet but I'll never be coming back to this Taco Bell. I stood at the counter for almost a minute and could hear employees laughing and talking but had to call out "hello" into the kitchen before anyone came out to take our order. The dining room had nobody in it but almost every single table had trash on it and the sauce station was in disarray. The first unisex restroom was flooded and had trash on the floor and the trash can was piled high. The second unisex restroom also had so much trash on the floor and was so filthy. A great dinner break on our long trek down I-5 to LA in lost Hills. I love the fact that Taco Bell has a cantina bowl with rice and beans and chicken and fresh veggies and it's a pretty healthy meal for fast food. I get them all the time. But at this Taco Bell it was really fresh and tasted the best of any location I've tried anywhere. To put it simple, don't ask for customized orders. My family and I came in to taco bell as a quick stop. One of the orders which we requested to have no sour cream, was made with it. I go to tell them to remake it and the second one comes with sour cream. I go again, which was easily a 15 minute wait, to finally get my order the way I wanted. This area is usually the place I make my stop to get my gas on the way to whatever adventure I am on. Im not going to lie... I have never really eaten at this specific location but based off observation most people tend to skip TB and go for Pizza Hut Express or the Subway that is connected to it. This location doesnt get much traffic at all as far as hungry journeymen and joyrneywoman. Although as a kid i used to eat TB a lot since my brother worked at a TB with his friends as a high school job, I really think it would just give everyone in the car the RUNS!! how bad would it be traveling and having to take the most nasty crap in the middle of no where!!! haha at least thats how my stomach works with TB and fast food in general haha. beware and travel safe! read more
