This place is getting better. It's been 7 years since I reviewed here so wanted to give an update. This Taco Bell hits the spot when the cravings strike! Pulled up with low expectations and left with a full belly and a grin. The tacos were hot, the Baja Blast was ice cold perfection.Service was friendly and fast -- shoutout to the crew for keeping it cool even during the dinner rush. Ordered my food at 3:00 pm on a Sunday with only 1 other car in drive thru. Found out when I got home order was completely wrong. Went back and was asked to come inside to wait which I was not dressed for. After waiting in my car about 15 minutes called to speak to the manager DEREK about why I don't have my food still 30 minutes later. His reply: you need to come inside and I'll give you your money back. No explanation, no apology, nothing to make the situation right, completely rude and indifferent. So 45 minutes later I'm looking for somewhere else to get my family lunch. This location is ran by a bunch of unsupervised teenagers. VISIT AT YOUR OWN RISK. Went to this Taco Bell 11206 Preston Hwy today and picked up some tacos and a Mexican pizza and one burrito supreme. The tacos were nothing but lettuce with a small strip of beef. If I wanted a lettuce sandwich I could have eaten my salad I have at home. The burrito supreme was good and had more meat on it than the 3 tacos together. I had ordered the Mexican pizza with extra sour cream and was charged $.50 for the 3 drops of sour cream. Sure not to the expectations of what I had in mind for a good dinner. May have to remove this location from my future places to dine. read more

Went here today, finished ordering and told them fire and mild sauce at the end. Paid extra for my taco to be a cool ranch supreme as well. Everything was correct on the screen. Paid got my food and headed home. Get home my taco is not supreme and I have one pack of mild sauce and no fire sauce at all. Just really poor service today. All they had to do was read a screen. 17 minutes for eat in order. A simple order, nothing difficult. There are at least 7 workers that I can see. This is including the 2 I've seen on break while people are waiting. Of the 4 cars that have advanced, whilst I slurp on hot sauce packets to stave off starvation. 3 have come back in to correct their order. I've only timed one, but by all appearances that is an additional 8-10 minutes. For those of you considering a taco; be advised the two sit down Mexican restaurants nearby would be faster, even if you walked to them. With a bum leg. In the snow. This taco bell is absolutely pathetic. If I could give it 0 stars I would. My wife went there tonight and waited around 40 minutes for her food. When she did finally get it, once she got it home her order was wrong. This is the only taco bell I go to where I check my food before I leave. How difficult is it to leave off sour cream? The staff here need to be retrained. I've worked fast food before and this level of poor service is unacceptable. Management really needs to take a step back and really look at the problems this taco bell has. I have eaten from here a few times but because of today I wanted to leave a review. We ordered inside and I ordered a nacho bell grande box with shredded chicken, extra pico and extra guacamole. I was sooooooooo impressed at how my nachos were made that I wanted to leave a review and thank whoever was working tonight. Usually when I order the nachos or nacho box it gets made a lil messy and the extras are kind of just thrown on top. It's never made with mindfulness and usually looks like the person rushed or didn't give a shit. My best experiences with having my food made mindfully and carefully have been with the UofL location and the Jeffersonville IN location by Holmans and 10th. Tonight at this location was on point. There was legit queso, whoever made it wasn't stingy. The extra guacamole was arranged on either side of the extra pico. The chicken was evenly distributed not heavy in one area. This may sound so silly to some people but food and how it's prepared is huge to me and the way it looks/is presented says a lot about the person who made it and the mood they were in. So I hope the manager commends the person/people who were working the kitchen line tonight. read more

I recently moved from the Clifton area to Smyrna Rd. I have always enjoyed taco bell since I was a teenager. The taco bell on Preston hwy is AWFUL! I usually get 2 cheesy gordita crunches, this is the third and last time I follow that crave to this particular taco bell. It took 25 minutes to receive them. The cheese between the flour and corn tortillas weren't melted and the food was room temperature. When I brought this up with girl at the counter, she explained that they are the busiest taco bell in the city and they were sorry. She didn't offer to replace them and she just shrugged her shoulders. Very disappointed and will not be back. Cheap, relatively speedy service.This place gets super busy at lunch (given I go probably at the peak of their lunch rush), and while the drive thru workers are friendly, the drive thru get a little backed up.
