I could tell the food here was going to be amazing the moment my wife and I pulled into the restaurant because people were rushing to get out of their car and raising each other to the door. I actually sent my wife in to secure a table while I waited in the parking lot for friends. The vibe was laid back and very chill. We all ordered different things off the menu and EVERYTHING was amazing! Can't wait for the next visit!

Condiments and water ready for you to bring to your table, if you asked if they have other drinks, they do.

The food and the service there was amazing! Would go there again & again! The environment there is divine & calm. Would recommend going there!

The food was yummy and the drinks are great. The house margarita is strong. The service was really slow as there was only 1 person working the register. The place is colorful and full of fake flowers and day of the dead memorabilia.

Taco Tuesday Win! My wife and I found this restaurant while looking for a place to grab some tacos, and the great reviews convinced us to stop in. Not only were the prices amazing, but it also happened to be Taco Tuesday--tacos were only $1.98 each! We enjoyed a classic Mexican bottled Coke, and my wife ordered the asada tacos. I went with one asada and two al pastor tacos. Everything was absolutely delicious and definitely worth the money. The place was clean, the service was great, and we'll absolutely be back--you've got some new regulars! Also, shoutout to the al pastor tacos--I've never had one where they cut a strip of pineapple so you get a bit in every bite. So good

The food here was amazing. I got 3 street tacos- birria, pastor and asada. All 3 were excellent. The meat was flavorful and there was a decent amount of filling. There is a wide array of salsas. I liked the spicy guacamole and the habanero. My kid got a taco antrax, which wasn't what I was expecting, but delicious. I also got the loaded horchata, which isn't how I usually like it-- but it was indulgent and hit the spot. Service was great. I loved the decor. Overall a great place to eat, you should check it out!

Stumbled upon this cute Mexican restaurant, and decided to give it a try. Very festive, with both comfy interior and exterior seating. The shrimp taco was amazing. Spice and all that. The chicken was a lil plain though. Quick service, would recommend!!

Quesabirria Tacos - Best I've had in the city! Perfect crispy tortilla, melty cheese and tender beef. Need more of these ASAP!

They finally opened the building and expanded their hours which is great and what I was hoping for! They also now do weekend brunch so I tried that to-go. Interior was nicely decorated, modern and cute with a Mexican flair. You order at the regular then they'll bring you your food. No menu on the wall or anything like that, just a small paper one. The brunch menu was just written on a sign, but no details on any of the items which would've been nice. I don't know if the service was always this slow, but I waited OVER HALF HOUR for a single item which was quite annoying. Not sure if they had only 1 chef or something this day, but I hope it's usually better. Prices were pretty standard/average and the portion size was good. I got the chilaquiles which were fantastic!! I got half green /half red salsas and loved both. Ordered mine with steak that I wish was chopped up or something cause getting an entire piece was weird (only change I'd make). Fantastic salsa bar as well with several different options. Definitely will be back to try some other of their breakfast options!

This is an authentic street taco restaurant. My husband loves the carne asada torta. It comes with guacamole, plenty of carne asada, cilantro and onion. Delish! I order the street tacos. I have tried the cheese tacos and they were too greasy for me, but I love, love, love the street tacos full of yummy meats. I love the carne asada, the pollo, and my favorite the Al pastor. Normally I don't like the Al Pastor tacos from other places because they are sweet, but theirs are delicious and savory. We also shared a delicious cup of their version of street corn, and I highly recommend it! A large cup of creamy corn spiced to perfection. It has all the flavor without the mess of the corn cob. So, it has quickly become one of our favorite places. We keep going back. Love it!

This is a food truck located off of Westport Road. They are only open on Saturdays and Sundays from 5-10. Check out their Instagram for more info. They have super authentic Mexican food and drinks. I've only tried the tacos and they were very good! I added queso in mine. They were $4.50 a piece.

Brunch was on the menu at Taco N Madres. Ordered the Torta Mananero with Horchata to drink. Torta was delicious. It's huge! Could easily feed two people. The Horchata was over the top! Not what I anticipated at all! It was topped with whipped cream and wafer cookies with chocolate on the rim. Crazy good. Not your standard Mexican horchata presentation. Very clean and well decorated interior. Friendly and attentive service. I'll be back to explore the menu.

    Strawberry drink!

Bierra Tacos were terrific!! Great local spot to support. We enjoyed all our food drinks and service Can't wait to go back

I had been wanting to go for quite some time to try the Birria because I heard it is so amazing, and it really lived up to the Hype! Oh, did I mention they have the viral soft serve margaritas!?!?! I got the strawberry, it was so pretty, excellent presentation and absolutely delicious! I will say it was more like a dessert to me and I would have preferred to have it after my meal instead if before but that's just me. We got there between 6:30 and 7:00 and it was really busy, luckily our friends got there first and grabbed a table. They had already had a round of drinks while waiting on us but it took a while for anyone to come over to greet us or refill their drinks but again it was busy and everyone was helping everyone. We ended up splitting the birria platter and still had plenty of food to take home which we just ate last night as leftovers and were still absolutely fire!! I think the egg roll and quesadillas were my favorite over the tacos bc I love the melty cheese. I also ordered a small side of queso which was surprisingly a little spicy which I really enjoyed. They even surprised us when my BIL ordered a small margarita and it came out in a fish glass (see photo). It was so unexpected but also so cute at the same time ... it's really the little things like this that bring joy, okay? LOL This place was absolutely amazing and I can't wait to try it again.

When we arrived we had a brief wait before we checked in, and were seated on the second level. Our server was excellent, our service was quick and he was always around without hovering. It was bitter cold outside so instead of my usual margarita ($14+) I opted for a beer ($6). We started with the salsa trio, one of my favorites with handmade assorted chips. It includes three salsas, somewhat spicy, sweet tomato and tomatillo - the spicy and sweet were my favorites. Next we ordered the tacos el carbon and carbon burrito - pricing is expensive! We both ordered our steaks medium rare. My tacos had a beautiful presentation, the meat came out on a skewer and smoking from the hot coals. All toppings were repeated on the plate. The steak was overcooked and tough though. Had a nice smoke to it, but very chewy. My husband enjoyed his burrito but wasn't the best he's ever had. They also had a mariachi band walk around but they had "tips" all over their instruments and clothes. Overall we had a nice meal but the price point doesn't equal the food quality.

We were leaving for the second leg of our trip and were running late, as usual. We decided to run across the street for a sit down lunch, what's another hour? Two smiling faces greeted us at the door. They offered a high top but my hip was absolutely not digging it nor a table up the flight of steep stairs. Once seated, we were greeted promptly and had water in front of us almost immediately. We each ordered soup and then a sandwich to share. I had the Sopa de Pollo . A hot bowl thick with thin noodles and lots of chunks of chicken. The chunks were too big to eat without being cut up which was a challenge in a bowl of broth. It was so hot that I had to wait a while to try it and even then had to blow on it. It was delicious. Unless the soup is your meal, order a cup. I still took nearly a pint of soup back with me. My husband ordered the Frijole Negro - a huge bowl of black beans that was served with a large pile of raw onions on top. Like the chicken soup, it was burn your mouth hot and a very large serving. He said it was good but he'd not order it again. Moving on to the sandwich. We had the Cubano. I'm not even going to describe it - just trust me - order the Cubano. Do not look at the rest of the menu - order the Cubano. Don't even bother looking at the ingredients, just order the Cubano. Have you ordered it yet? Do it already. The Cubano is huge. We split one half and had the other when we arrived at our next stop. Do consider that we had soup first; otherwise, we'd have eaten the whole thing. The accompanying plantain chips were worthy of their own review. They were wonderful. Who knows if and when we'll be back to Louisville but when we are, La Bodeguita will be the first place we stop. BTW, have you ordered the Cubano yet? What are you waiting for? Put your phone done and order it! Enjoy!!
