    Spicy Potato Soft Taco
    Alison M.

The young lady at the window was polite. This soft potato taco was a waste of my time and $1--5/15/23 at 1350. I returned to request a better-made spicy potato taco. The "manager" apologized and asked the staff to make another "with more potatoes."The young man who initially handed the taco to the drive-thru employee came to the front to look at me while playing with his locs (hair). He, the manager, and other staff went to the back, smirking. It was unfortunate. I could not trust that my food would be remade appropriately. I left. While I needed to eat something to take medication which is why I ordered one item. However, I think about those that can only afford one item and feel sad that this is how they could be treated. Do better you never know the impact you could potentially have.

I got the cravings box at noon and the wait time was fine but when I opened my cheese to use with my nachos there was a sprinkle of cheese in there and that's it. I've worked at a Taco Bell before and this screw up is unacceptable. You need to be filling the cheese cups all the way for the customer. This place really needs work wow.

Know why they get a 2...ordered burrito taco nachos..and sauce...no sauce no taco only 2 people in line

That was until my wife went out for a girls' night, came back glowing like she'd just discovered fire, and insisted I try your California Burrito. She literally said, "I need to see your face when you take the first bite," which honestly felt like I was about to be part of some life-changing documentary. And then it happened. One bite--and I swear I was spiritually teleported straight back to Oceanside, California. I heard waves crashing, seagulls judging me, the whole experience. I had to double-check I wasn't suddenly paying California rent again. That burrito? Perfect. Beautiful. A work of art. I almost stood up and saluted. So yeah... faith restored. East Coast redemption arc complete.

I also got a piece of tres leches to go! I can't wait to head back and try something else like the birria ramen! Shall we talk about the service because whaaaat??? They were handing 5 star service out! The chairs and tables are so well crafted and beautiful! Someone's hand making those somewhere and I need to find out where! It's a smaller location next to pet palace but it's absolutely worth every moment of driving down western to score this tasty Cali burrito!!!

Its not authentic street food or Tex-Mex, like you might find out West, its Americanized Mexican and Latin dishes but everything we tried was a bit better than most, tastier and with a few more options that some chains offer. Since it was lunch the portions and plates were a little smaller but totally adequate and we didn't feel under served, more just right. Noteworthy is their light in-house made chips. I found the table salsa too mild but my wife thought it was perfect for her tastes. Most of the other guests seemed to be business people at lunch and a few other retirees like us. Typical mid-week fast casual restaurant. There was a bar and like many Mexican restraints a rather long menu. We look forward to going back when it's cooler and try the soups and other cool weather dishes. One thing I hate when I order fajitas is some places don't bother to cook the vegetables, ether in a a hurry or thinking the cast iron plate is going to do the job. I want my onions and peppers actually cooked (preferably grilled) and not hard. They got that right, every vegetable was perfectly grilled and seared. I had shrimp in mine and they all had a nice char while leaving the strip tender and not chewy or hard.

Okay but nothing remarkable. I got the birria pizza and was SHOCKED by how BAD and DISGUSTING it was. The meat was soft but the cheese they used was overpowering had an odd taste and overall not a good mix. The meat had no flavor. And the consome was a JOKE!!! Hahaha water. Our waitress was everywhere besides waiting tables. She came over twice while we had our food. Once to grab a refill and once as a walk by saying "you good". What a joke. My husband had a torta and whatever white stuff was on it looked curdled. (What ended up leading to throwing up).

We enjoy coming on Tuesdays for the pizza deal. Today we ordered the shotgun shrimp appetizer, a side salad, and the 33 Deluxe small pizza. We also decided to try a strawberry and a blackberry lemonade. After a short wait our shrimp and salad were delivered. Both were good. Our lemonades were delicious! Of course the pizza was delivered after we finished our appetizers. The pizza was great. Our server, EmilyB, was great. Always positive and smiling. We also noticed Japanese baseball was on. Didn't expect that honestly. This restaurant always has an active and vibrant atmosphere. There's seating for all types and television screens everywhere. During football season, this place is packed! The reviews are all over the place. We have always had a good experience here. If you're unsure about trying Bubba's 33, I recommend giving it a try. They have a variety that fits almost all appetites.

My thoughts have been compiling for three days and I think I'm finally ready to share them…read more This was a completely last-minute decision. Like, "we're already in the parking lot" last-minute. My daughter chose Bubba's 33 over Mission BBQ (which, for the record, I also have thoughts about, but that's another review). I'd never been to Bubba's before. Between all the hype around town and the endless debates in the local mom groups, I just never bothered. After this experience, I can confidently say my streak will likely continue. If you're looking for a place to waste time, Bubba's 33 absolutely delivers. Generously. Abundantly. Olympic-level time wasting. My 8-year-old and I waited about 20 minutes to be seated, which wasn't a huge deal. We got settled, our server greeted us, brought our drinks, and then apparently entered the Witness Protection Program. For roughly the next hour, she became more myth than employee. Meanwhile, tables seated after us were getting appetizers, entrees, refills, desserts, probably college degrees and retirement plans while we sat there staring at our drinks wondering if we'd somehow become invisible. Eventually our server reappeared and said, "I'm going to check on your food." Perfect. Except I then watched her walk to the POS system, print something, wander around a partition, stop and chat with another table, visit the table behind me, casually migrate to the hostess stand, disappear for about 30 seconds, reappear, make direct eye contact with me, and then immediately go help yet another table. At that point I wasn't sure if she was checking on my food or participating in a scavenger hunt. For context, our incredibly complex order consisted of: * Chicken tenders and fries. * A bowl of chili. That's it. Not a 12-course tasting menu. Not a custom-built wedding cake. Not an endangered truffle flown in from Europe. Chicken tenders. Fries. Chili. I've seen Amazon deliver furniture faster. The truly disappointing part is that we'd actually helped facilitate a jersey and helmet that ended up on their wall. So technically, I've contributed more to the décor than my server contributed to my dining experience. Maybe we caught them on a bad day. Maybe there was some catastrophe in the kitchen. Maybe my food is still being prepared right now as I type this review. All I know is that my first visit to Bubba's 33 somehow felt longer than most relationships I've been in. One star for the drinks arriving before retirement age. One star for teaching my daughter patience. Everything else remains under investigation.
