I am writing this review as I sit in the drive thru. When I pulled in there were three cars between me and the speaker to place my order. That was 20 minutes ago and I still have one person ahead of me to place an order. I would have backed out after 5 minutes of no one moving forward but there were two cars behind me alas. Is it really fast food if it takes this long to order food. If I was at a restaurant I would already have my drink and appetizers and my food ordered. My question is what are they doing in there that it is taking so long to get the food out? Guy walking to his car just yelled out to not order anything with chips as they have a funky taste and are stale. I called and was told that they are very short staffed and they are training people. The lady I spoke with said that they have angry people in the lobby. Well I am frustrated in drive thru that it is taking so long. It has now been 30 minutes and I finally placed my order and that was painful. Let's hope I get the right food and that it tastes good. Had a craving for a chicken chalupa. I will make sure not to have that craving again and will not return to this Taco Bell. Should have received a discount or something for free with the long wait. Might make customers happier or a little less grumpy. Since, I have time I will tell you a story. Once upon a time my first job was at this same Taco Bell and most of the staff were teenagers and we never took this long even with training new individuals. I won't say how many decades have passed but it is sad how poor service is now. I am now late getting to my next patient. Now there are people yelling from their cars. Seriously get a couple of us out of this drive thru hell. 40 minutes in and three people ahead of me to the window. Between gas and time I feel like my meal should be free and they should pay me for the time I have had to wait. By the time I get to the window if my food is cold and soggy I am going to ask them to remake it. People going inside are being served faster than we are what the hell! Maybe if it is this bad they should have closed the drive thru. Dear lord they are having conversations at the window now. I have lost all empathy for the staff at this point they have had plenty of time to make changes or do something to improve service. At the window it has been an hour and 5 minutes. They gave me a free taco coupon, which I won't be using after this experience. The girl complained that she hasn't had a break and she has been here since 0700. Well blame your manager but you still need to pick up the pace or change something. Still waiting on my food, and three people are standing by the window. The lobby is rarely open sometimes dude to low staff. The rice seems to be always old or stale or something. I been going there for about 6 years and the staff is pretty chill but just low on staff and they close the lobby a lot. Last time I went I saw only 2 workers. One for the drive through and other making food. Sometimes when they make the ice drinks, they don't always fill it to the top and leave a huge gap of empty space and give it quick.
