    Chicken Fried Steak XL

Our first time visiting since we were in the neighborhood! This unassuming breakfast joint is a great place to visit. The service was friendly and the food was good! I ordered the XL country fried chicken plate and it's big enough to share with another person. I opted for fruits instead of potatoes and was surprised that they gave me seasonal fruits- pomegranates, persimmons and oranges. Delish!!! The place is quaint!

Honestly don't have any complaints it's a traditional American breakfast spot all the basic options I just don't see how they don't have hash browns what kind of breakfast spot does not have hash browns?? Pancakes were fluffy and large the portions with everything were actually huge we couldn't finish our food. Good customer service too! I wish the place seemed a little more inviting, it seems cold (not literally) the carpet remind me of an old school office everything is so open I don't know it lacks coziness

I stopped in for breakfast on a Friday around 9 a.m. ish. Considering it was cold and foggy outdoors, the place is bright, airy and clean. I was greeted at the entrance by 2 pleasant and friendly staff. I was seated right away. My order was taken within a few minutes of being seated. The tables were filled with customers having lively conversations. There were also customers seated at the front of the house area. I noticed several customers were greeted by their first names so I'm guessing they were regulars. The menu is a typical dining menu with a variety of choices for breakfast and lunch. My order arrived within 10 minutes or so. Hot and delicious of course. The wait staff was attentive and very personable. I will most definitely return for breakfast.

I came here for my birthday. The food was delicious. I got the loaded breakfast burrito which is loaded with ham, bacon, sausage, potatoes and eggs covered in gravy. I had 2 mimosas the green goblin and the sour patch kid. Both drinks was grrrrrreat and took me to the moon. The service I received was excellent as she was attentive and patient with me. The place definitely gives a family feel for the ambiance. Most definitely will come here again.

It's very good though today the early bird menu was pointed out to me and they made no mention it is half price this early so I got something else. I'd call this Hidden in Plain Sight. So my breakfast is much more expensive than expected. They did drop the coffee from the bill.

This place is great. They close at 2 PM (I believe), so hurry up. The food is fantastic--well-seasoned, warm, hearty, and generous. The staff is always wonderful. Our family has been here six or seven times, and we leave content and smiling every visit. Prices are reasonable, and the dining room is usually filled with families, a few couples, and plenty of folks from the older generation who remember when places like this were the norm: good service, fair prices, and quality meals. And the drip coffee adds a classic, all-American touch that reminds me of my parents' era. Go. You won't be disappointed.

Staff friendly. Large portions and good variety. Sausage gravy actually contains sausage! In the area for shopping but familiar with the brand so we knew it would be good. We were right!

The service was excellent including our server and the two gentlemen at the cash register. We were promptly greeted by friendly staff who were very attentive throughout our entire visit. Our server Maliyah let us know the specials and made a couple of recommendations and she did not disappoint. Bonus is that our drinks were kept refilled without having to ask. The food arrived hot and freshly made and was tasty. The prices seem a little bit high, especially $4.49 for a regular cup of drip coffee. The portions are generous and the food is good, but it wasn't fantastic. I would definitely go back but would stick with drinking water because the drink prices seem excessively high.

Country country cooking at its best. Excellent customer service Excellent customer service, everyone was happy and smiling, full house, this is a very popular place. Portions are huge, I got the biscuits and gravy and it was outstanding. The wife and kid were extremely happy. Glad that our Tesla's map just happened to show hot off the griddle on the screen and we stopped by.

A Great Breakfast Stop After a Hike in Auburn! We came here…read morefor breakfast during the week after a hike in Auburn. We had just finished the Lake Clementine/Dam hike and were very hungry afterward, so we headed into town and ended up at Mario's. First of all, Mario's is a very pretty space. I loved the black-and-white aesthetic and the simple but thoughtful décor. There's bar seating, booths, and tables both inside and outside. Parking is plentiful, so that's definitely not an issue. I started with a regular latte, while my cousin ordered a chai latte. My latte was beautiful and served in a very original, deep, low cup that I absolutely loved. It was delicious and just perfect. Unfortunately, the chai latte wasn't really to our liking. It didn't taste much like chai to us--it had a strong cinnamon flavor and a combination of flavors that made it difficult to tell exactly what we were drinking. So, the chai was definitely not our favorite. For breakfast, I ordered what I would call their breakfast sampler, with eggs, bacon, and hash browns, which also came with a portion of French toast. My cousin ordered their Monte Cristo sandwich. My eggs and hash browns were amazing, and there was plenty of bacon! I chose all bacon, and it was thick-cut, smoky, and cooked to perfection. The plates here are HUGE, and the portions are definitely abundant. My cousin's Monte Cristo was their lighter take on the classic. Instead of being deep-fried, their version is dipped in batter and cooked, which makes it a little less heavy. It looked beautiful and had plenty of ingredients inside, but for us, it was just okay. We've definitely had better Monte Cristo sandwiches. Now, the French toast... WOW. This was easily my favorite part of the meal. The bread had this delicious cinnamon-sugar coating on top that took it to another level. Add the soft, fluffy butter and maple syrup, and it was absolutely superb. That French toast alone would bring me back! I also appreciated the nice, cold ice water that was kept at our table throughout the meal. Service was super nice and pretty quick, especially considering how busy they were. I also loved how many options they give you to customize your meal. I could choose between different types of bacon, sausage, or turkey, and my cousin was able to customize her sandwich and ended up choosing cottage cheese to go with a healthier, higher-protein option. They also have sweet potato fries, regular fries, and plenty of other sides that you can substitute depending on what you're looking for. The ambiance was great, everything was clean and well maintained, and even the bathrooms were in good condition. Overall, this was a very good breakfast experience. Not everything was a home run for us, but the service, atmosphere, generous portions, customization options, and especially that French toast made it a place I'd definitely recommend if you're in the area. And after a hike? Even better!

The only thing is they should have one for bigger parties. We were going to be seated with a chair at the end of the table which would block the walkway. We asked if we can another table and they had to clear one that was for a party of six. Carla, our waitress is nice and our food came out quickly. This is second time I'm here. Other family members have not been here and they enjoyed the food. They all had left overs. We ordered the following for our visit. Steak and eggs Loco Moco Pacific Omelette Lox & Bagel Perfect combo Iced Chai Hot chocolate I was so full from my Lox, but I de used to taste the waffle and it was soo good! Looks hard but it is not at all! I ended eating half of what I was going to pack home!!

Even on a Saturday morning about 10:30 am there were lots of tables available. The inside is a casual diner, nothing fancy. They have outside seating also. We were immediately greeted by a friendly server who told us to sit wherever and they take our orders. There were two very friendly servers working this morning, they helped each other out and were efficient. They both love the food here and enjoy serving the creative creations of the owner/chef. I also find her regular menu choices and her vegan menu very creative. She makes cinnamon rolls every day, regular and vegan. We ordered one regular to go. Eat them while they are warm. They do sell out. I ordered the peach waffles, they had peach in the batter and greasy stewed peaches on top. They were so sweet you did not need syrup, this was not a light waffle but still delicious. I was told she changes her waffle flavors once a month. My husband got a hangover cure, tater tots topped with homemade gravy and eggs. The tots were piping hot and crunchy, the gravy was so delicious! Oh yummy! We look forward to returning to this establishment.

The service was fantastic from start to finish. We had the chance to chat with Julian himself along with a couple other staff members, and everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful. The stars of the meal were definitely the breakfast wrap and the bacon, egg & cheese croissant. The breakfast wrap had the perfect balance of scrambled eggs, bacon, seasoned potatoes, avocado, and cheddar cheese. Everything worked together without any one ingredient overpowering the others, and the salsa on the side was a great addition. Honestly, it's one of the best breakfast burritos/wraps I've had. And the croissant... wow. It was absolutely delicious. The eggs were perfectly cooked, the croissant was light, flaky, and buttery, and every bite was packed with flavor. The Nutella crepe was also very good. The crepe itself was perfectly made, though there was a little more Nutella than I personally prefer. Next time I'll probably ask for less, but that's purely a matter of taste. The avocado toast was the only item that didn't quite hit the mark for me. It was good, but the honey flavor dominated the dish and drowned out some of the other ingredients. I'd love to taste a little more balance there. Overall, the food, atmosphere, and genuine hospitality made for a great breakfast. We'll definitely be back, and I'll be dreaming about that croissant until then.

They insisted I find the order number so they could confirm I was telling the truth and that "they didn't undercharge me for the drink". Real nice. If you're in this part of town, I'd skip this place and go a couple doors down to the Coffee Republic instead.
