On Saturday 2-10-2024 at about 5:45pm, I go to the Taco Bell @ 9920 Wayne Rd, Romulus, MI 48174. I decided to go inside to order two meals, I waited at least 10 minutes before I was even acknowledged. When finally someone says: I will be right with you, I than waited about 3-4 minutes for her to come over, so at that point I started to proceed with my order a #10 meal, and before I completed my words all the way, I was cut off by the worker saying they don't take orders at the counter anymore and I would have to order at the kiosk? I ask why? she proceeds to tell me the GM said today we no longer take orders at the front counter and said she will get a manager. A lady manager came up front and said can I help you and I told her what happened, she said yes the GM said they are allocating labor so they no longer have a cashier or register inside I would have to use the kiosk.. I said I was standing there for 10+ minutes before I was even greeted and there is also no sign saying all orders have to be placed at the kiosk now, she in turn said that's what the GM said today and I can't do anything about it. The manager never said a simple sorry or even offered to take my order using the drive thru register (that was not far away) from the front counter. I could careless if that is the new policy or not, but the fact is it's a brand new policy I'm told as of today, there was no sign saying anything about this, I stood there for 10+ minutes before anyone said a word to me, was never offered a simple sorry, or even hey look I'm sorry let me get your order this time, but going forward that's the new policy if you do come inside to order. This is by far the worst experience I have ever had in 43 years on this earth and anywhere I have ever visited, and I will NEVER visit that Taco Bell again and this makes me not want to even spend another dime at any Taco Bell. I know this won't really matter as I'm only one person and Taco Bell is a billion dollar business, but at least I will rest easy knowing not a dime of my hard earned money will go to Taco Bell again! I was craving TB and was in the neighbor cruising around. This particular Taco Bell only had one star on Yelp and I was a little afraid to try this place. That was until I saw it. Probably built recently, or really kept up. Didn't look like it was rundown at all. That's always a good sign when you're in an area you don't frequent too often. By far the smallest and cleanest Taco Bell I have ever been to. Everything from dining room to bathroom to kitchen to condiment/pop station was clean. Friendly staff and my food came up piping hot without any issues. Nothing was overcooked or lukewarm. Speaking of warm, the dinning room was toasty. I don't why but fast food places always are cold and this one was perfect temperature where I did freeze by tush off eating my food. I'm not in the area often but I'll be sure to remember this Taco Bell! read more

As far as Taco Bell, this particular location takes the cake for being the cleanest and the kindest! My sister and I dined in on a Saturday night and we were the only customers in the restaurant. Not really a problem. We didn't really suspect there was anything wrong with the location. The place itself is fairly small but looks rather new as well. There was no debris on the tables and the condiments station was well stocked, tidy, and well organized as well -- a huge plus. The employees were kind and courteous and didn't rush my sister and I with the ordering process. There have been so many other instances where I feel entirely rushed whenever I get inside a fast food location and the cashier stares at me or asks me over and over again if I'm ready -- not here! I felt comfortable enough browsing the menu without being overly rushed. If I'm ever in the area again I'll definitely return! The food was hot, made fresh, and done with no problems. I previously wrote a bad review for this location, as they would not allow us to order vegetarian options through the drive through and only via the app. We attempted to go here once again and the online ordering has been deactivated. We proceeded to attempt the drive through and were informed that they were out of both black beans and potatoes, so essentially anything we would have the ability to eat. Every time we attempt to order at this location they are rude, disorganized, out of inventory or their hours and ordering practices suddenly change. I understand that there are several challenges that those in the food service industry are faced with given current circumstances, however these issues were present long before the pandemic. I cannot fathom how this location continues to have business. The only reason we gave this so many chances was because of their proximity to our home, but moving forward we will go to the Belleville Road location.
