This review is for a take out order, so I can't comment on the restaurant, but I can say that the…read moredelivery bag did contain plenty of utensils and napkins. I was really craving Mexican food, and I decided to try a new spot. The food sounded good, and I liked the description of the nachos, so I ordered them and decided to add on a side of Mexican street corn. It was ok. First off, the corn was very overcooked. Small kernels. Very juicy, but not in a good wat. I took about 2 spoonfuls and pretty much tossed the rest. The nachos were not very good. I know this was a delivery and I have to make concessions for some saturation making the chips not as crunchy, but even the chips they gave me on the side were very thin and oily and would never hold up in a nacho setting. The meat (carnitas) was very dry and stringy. The guacamole lacked seasoning as did the rice and beans. And, the salsa had a pulled-from-the-refrigerator flavor. I maybe ate a third of the nachos and then tossed those out as well. I did not eat any of the chips and salsa after the initial taste. I was really bummed as I had hoped for a good meal, but I won't be trying this restaurant again and will try others next time I am in town.

Torta Al pastor I also had some horchata to go with it. She brought me three salsas to try in bottles. A creamy red, creamy green and a more traditional red salsa. All three were delicious ! A rally great spot for Mexican street tacos and various other delicious food items. Was passing…read morethrough town in between rounds of golf and stopped in for a quick Sunday dinner. Meal service requires you to order at the counter, then your food is brought out to you at a nearby table of your choice. This is a no-frills dining experience, but do not let that fool you...the food is top notch! I ordered a small variety of items to sample...a marinated pork taco, loaded steak fries and for dessert a flan. After a bit of a wait (they make everything to order), it all showed up at our table. The pork taco was dripping with charred pork flavor and came with grilled onions on the side. The double corn tortilla kept everything together as I dug in bite after bite. When the loaded steak fries showed up, my jaw dropped to the ground! This thing was big enough for 3-4 people to share...whoopsy! The crispy fries came layered with strips of grilled steak, a white cheese sauce, guacamole and a sour cream drizzle. Damn these things were good! And if that wasn't enough, I also ordered dessert because I am a sucker for flan (I grew up in Miami and have eaten probably one million flans). Honestly, was not a fan of their version's texture (too grainy, not creamy) and their sauce was not as sweet as many others I've had...but glad to have tried it. For being a small-town Indiana spot, I'd go back here no questions asked. There is an extensive menu for trying new stuff and I'd love to get that chance someday!

I'd see it driving around and I was…read moreeven at a corporate event with their truck, but I didn't get a chance for a break to try it. I saw them pop up on DoorDash recently and apparently they opened a storefront in June 2025 in Beech Grove. Pronto Taco is just that...pronto. I ordered through DoorDash and still got my order quickly. Everything was packaged nicely and they even put a handwritten note in the bag. I went with the combo so I could try a variety of things. My mom had the asada tacos. My mom loved the steak but not the tortillas. My favorite part was the slightly griddled tortillas. Welcome to a day in our house. The menu is very to the point. A few tacos. Chips and salsa. Bottled Mexican sodas. I'm not mad at it. Everything was super fresh. The tacos are around $5 each but they are STUFFED with meat. The salsa roja is hot (hot, hot, hot according to their website), but delicious. Next time I'll try the veggie taco since that's probably more my speed. In addition to being open for lunch 11-2 and dinner 5-8, you can book the food truck or order catering for events.

This weekly farmer's…read moremarket-type event is a definitely treat for state employees with a variety of trucks, vendors, and non-profit organizations all lined up in Robert D. Orr Plaza. Pronto looks pretty simple. I've not been to their storefront - Beech Grove is pretty hit-and-miss in terms of accessibility. However, after passing by them a couple times at Statehouse I finally gave them a try. Pronto is basic a handful of taco varieties, chips/salsa, bottled Mexican soft drinks, a couple sauce options (mild and roja), and also a breakfast taco. I know that Pronto has a storefront. I know that they cater. I also know that they cover statewide. I'm primarily limited to chicken these days and the taco pollo is a winner for me. I enjoyed the chips and salsa. I got the mild sauce (because I'm a wuss). However, a friend of mine got the rojo and it wasn't really as hot as I expected (though particularly sensitive folks probably want to stick with mild). Employees have been friendly both times I've been here. Prices are fair. Food is good. I've become a little more into tacos these days and I'm definitely a fan of these. Overall, I'm quite pleased and am hoping they show up again when the next Statehouse Market season comes around.
