Whenever I come to this location the staff always seem very overwhelmed. There will be a few people in line and they seem to be running around like they are slammed. I have never worked in five guys, but I feel like they need some more workers on shift. It takes about 15-20 minutes to get an order that was placed for pickup once you have already gotten there. Staff are not lazy and seem to work hard, but I feel like adding an extra person on shift would help it be faster and allow me to not be late for work! Food is average, honestly won't be eating here again simply because it is too expensive and the food tastes like a burger anywhere else. Place is very clean. read more

This Five Guys restaurant is fairly new here in Terre Haute. I had been meaning to try it for awhile now. I knew they had a good reputation in the restaurant business. The burgers are very juicy and flavorful and the menu has options for double patties in addition to traditional burger toppings and seasonings. They are made fresh to order and that is a plus. I am told that the meat is fresh not frozen. Now lets talk about their French fries. They are fresh cut from whole potatoes. Perfectly cooked and seasoned well, and they are very generously portioned. They also have very tasty milkshakes in many different flavors. The restaurant is very clean and has an interesting décor. The service is very good and friendly and you can tell that the staff is well trained. The prices are on the higher end of the spectrum, but so is the quality. Thats all for this review for now, I'll be back here for another meal sometime soon and I will try some other things on their menu and I will be back to ad to this review. Ok, I have to say they have the best fries ever, hands down the best !! I'll continue to eat their fries and shakes but not the burgers. I was waiting for my fries and I seen the grill cook with her gloves on which is great ok.. Well she flipped the meat, grabbed new meat to put on the grill and then with the same gloves that just touched raw meat, she grabbed fresh buns and cheese. There is such thing as Cross contamination. Raw meat gloves should never touch fresh buns. Maybe use the left hand for fresh stuff and the right hand for raw meat ? I dunno but still.. If you want the Flu & a burger made with hamburger meat bought at Walmart, eat here. They worked my 16 year old son sick, with 102 temp and throwing up - had him in the back washing dishes, spreading the flu he picked up while at work from another co-worker. They ran out of meat, so Ryan Bruner the General Manager sent a worker across the parking lot to WalMart to buy several logs of Great Value hamburger meat to hold them over until their truck got in. When Paul Gillard, the Franchise owner was notified of all of this - he defended his staff instead of doing the right thing. read more

Superb hamburger and fries. I feel the price is a little inflated, but for a treat every now and then it is worth it. Customer service was amazing and the place was very clean. The restaurant was clean & appealing. The service was prompt & courteous. The burgers were full of juicy, tender, beefy goodness and encircled by an effervescent halo of crispy-edged, grilled magnificence. I loooooove their burgers! I didn't get the fries. Wasn't in the mood. The only reason I'm not giving a fifth star is because of their "mega mix & match Coca-Cola soft drink Voltron machine." If "burgers shakes and fries" is your thing, I can't come up with a better place to try. These guys are awesome. The locally sourced food is as fresh as it can possibly be and you can tell. They claim that they don't even have a freezer in the whole place. I personally love the cajun fries, but they are seasoned a little hotter than some of my friends like. The burgers have all of the toppings you'd expect, plus a few like sauteed mushrooms and onions that make for a better than the casual burger you'd expect to get elsewhere. The shakes are great and so is the Coca-Cola Freestyle soda machine with over 100 flavors that everyone loves. These guys go out of their way to make you feel welcome, so make sure to say hello when you check them out. read more

Probably my favorite Five Guys location I've been to. Every time I walk in the staff is super nice and helpful and the food is always amazing. Stopped in yesterday for the first time in a bit and the guys inside were very helpful and talked to me while my fries were finishing being cooked since there weren't any other customers coming in to order. Stopped by to grab a quick dinner while on the road. Store is clean, service was welcoming and attentive. Burgers were absolutely delicious. Ordered a regular fry and got a ton of extra fries in our bag. Chocolate shake was fantastic. Order was ready very quickly. Great experience. read more

5/10/2020: During the Covid-19 crisis, they have all their employees working unmasked. The cooks also used gloves poorly: wiping faces with gloved hands, adjusting hair with gloved hand. Only ate here twice I think, the food is good and so is the service. The only thing I dislike is the amount of the grease that is on the food, however it doesn't affect the taste at all. Overall it's a good place to get a burger and they also have good milkshakes. read more

So far, the best burger in Terre Haute. Good meat flavor and excellent fries. The location is fairly clean when you compare it to other Five Guys locations. Drink fountains are great too. The prices are very reasonable. The fries portion is quite generous. I know that some people might like the free peanuts, but they make the place messy. I hope that they get those modern trash cans, so you don't have to touch the can. Recently, the have added flies to the condiments area!! read more

I use to work at this location. I love the customer clientele. However management is for the birds at this location. I was treated wrong and favoritism is a favorite pass time there. I even watch an assistant manager yell at an employee in front of a few customers. The manager told the employee to get the f****** out of his store. The store manager done nothing about it, and the owner promoted him. Just eat there don't work there. read more

You can sometimes take the measure of a restaurant, not when they are busy and full of customers, but later, closer to when they close. Do you still get good service? Is the food still hot and fresh? Do you feel welcome when you come into the Restaurant? I am relieved to say that on our last trip to Five Guys, the answer to all these questions was yes. We had a bit of stuff to do on the south end of Terre Haute and my wife wanted a good burger. So that led us to Five Guys. Ok.. this is a Burger Joint. A very good burger joint, perhaps one of the best burger joints in town. But it is still a place for burgers and fries. I ordered a Little Bacon Cheese Burger. The larger burgers are too big and wasted on me. Mine was hot and meaty. The toppings were still fresh in spite of the late hour of our arrival. I ordered Sauteed mushrooms and Onions on my burger and they were both very good making my burger savory and delicious. I had a very malty chocolate malt for my drink which i drank with gusto. We also ordered a large order of fries. We thought that we might have ordered too many fries, but at the end of the meal, most of them were gone. The fries were freshly cooked, hot with just the right amount of salt. How would I compare this place to McDonalds or Burger King? Actually there is no comparison. The food is hot and the burgers are fresh at Five Guys. While the Triple Prime at Ruby Tuesday's is a better burger. The burgers at Five Guys are just a little more half the cost of the Triple Prime and almost, but not quite as good. You might think that in my praise of this place i would give it 5 stars. But, hey.. its a burger place. C'mon. It doesn't pretend however, to be anything more than a burger place unlike other new restaurants on the south side of Terre Haute. read more

Not sure what's up with the other reviews. A 3 star review that reads "so far the best burger in Terre haute"??? How is it the best burger and it gets 3 stars. They have great burgers. I would say they are tied with Cheddars for best burger. Five guys fries are WAY better than Cheddars though. My only argument is the price. 2 sodas, 2 burgers, and a large fry is roughly $25. Kind of steep for a fast food type burger place. But like I said, burger is great, I'm just not going to eat there 4+ times a month, just a place I will go every once in awhile. read more

Ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger with Lettuce and Tomatoes and BBQ sauce to go. When I arrived at my work place, I whip out my burger to find that its covered in onions in place of lettuce. I check my receipt and clearly it says lettuce, tomatoes, BBQ sauce. So I call the store to let them know the situation and that I did not order onions and can't eat onions and all she had to say was "Okay". They did not offer an apology or try it make it right. Then the girl on the phone just hung up on me after saying Okay. For a place that just opened up recently they don't seem to care about the customers, on top of that, I had to throw the burger away since I can't eat onions. Waste of time and money. read more
