I just finished eating at Taco Burger and I had to leave a review immediately. I'll be honest--I wasn't sure what to expect at first. The name had me curious but also a little unsure... but I decided to give it a shot, and I'm glad I did. I ordered the jalapeño pepper jack cheeseburger with a side of street corn, and WOW. The burger was --full of flavor, perfectly cooked, and that pepper jack + jalapeño combo hit just right. The street corn? Next level. I added their "Sweet Heat" (or Street Heat) sauce and it took it up another notch--sweet with a kick. Perfect balance. I'm not gonna lie... I've got the itis right now That's how you know it was real. On top of that, the staff was amazing--super helpful and patient, especially helping me decide what to get. We tried to go twice recently since my original review. Once the girl checking us out answered the phone and took a whole order while I had been trying to check out/hadn't finished taking our order. It was really rude. Was glad to see them busy but it was off putting that she couldn't have finished up our transaction before taking another order. Next time I went we had a mailer coupon they had sent out for a 3 topping pizza & wings for $18.99. They tried charging me $26 before tip cause as the guy at the check out said "toppings were $2 extra each" I pointed out that coupon said a 3 topping pizza & wings for $18.99 and I only picked 3 toppings so it should be 18.99 plus tax and then tip. After those two times we're just going to let other people enjoy them as we always seem to come at a bad time. read more

This was a second visit to Taco Burger for my wife and I. This time unfortunately we didn't get to get our food. Understandably they were swamped and the sweet person working the register seemed unfamiliar with their operating system. She let us know there wasn't a way to do half one topping and half another but would put it in the notes ... but could lead to a goof up on our orders Though as she was checking us out she answered the phone and started taking another order before completing ours. My wife waited a little bit and just said we'll come back another time. Due to timing she just skipped eating cause she had an appointment at 7pm and I ate at home. We will come back as we want to see this small business thrive; which it seems to be doing. We'll just have to come during non-rush times. read more

First, my stars have nothing to do with the taste of the burger; they are only due to the lack of detail, which resulted in me getting the wrong burger. Some describe it as a hole-in-the-wall, but I don't think it fits the feel of a hole-in-the-wall. However, it is hidden, so you'll need to know where you're going to not miss them. The plus side of their menu, you have plenty to choose from. Most of the menu items reviewed by others seem to be promising. I look forward to trying other things. The cashier was very sweet, and placing the order came with ease. Bacon Cheeseburger: I ordered a bacon cheesburger and received a cheeseburger, which was disappointing. I wanted to make sure it wasn't my error, and after looking at the receipt, I saw the error was on the gentleman who prepared my burger. When you pay three dollars more for an item, and you don't get what you paid for, it doesn't sit well. With their burger combos, you can choose your side and not just certain sides. I like that. Some places have several choices, but will upcharge you depending on which one you pick. Overall, the burger was great, but not what I ordered. Will I visit again? Heck, yeah! I'll be sure to verify what was ordered and will check the order before leaving. They're definitely worth the visit. read more

I'm not gonna lie, this is a total hole in the wall, choose to visit in a strip mall situation. But if you live anywhere around this area, you would not be disappointed for the value especially for the price. You may be paying a couple dollars more than he would for a McDonald's burger, but the taste outweighs that. The service is super friendly, the location is extremely clean, and if you want an authentic burger that's no-frills and gets the job done, this is the place to go in H-E-B. After seeing soooo many positive reviews posted on Facebook I had to check out Taco Burger. And wow, so glad I did! They make a great burger! I ordered 3 burgers for pick up on a Saturday evening. They were busy! But my food was ready on time and the service was a 10/10! The order was a cheeseburger combo, a bacon cheeseburger combo, and a bbq cheddar burger combo. There was not one complaint! The burgers are big and juicy and the fries were crispy. I was only able to eat half of my burger before giving up. They're big! We will most definitely return to try other burgers and menu items and to support this local Bedford business! read more

This was our second time to visit Taco Burger. We went based on recommendations from other people and it was great the first time. This visit there was a different cook and he was rude and extremely disinterested in taking our order. Our order was incorrect and he was upset that we asked for it to be corrected. After heading towards home we realized our order was still incorrect and the burgers were terrible. There was so much mustard on the burgers that they were inedible and the bacon burger had no bacon and no sauces for street corn. We called to speak to the manager/owner and received push back on this. We did talk with the manager and he basically said the cook/cashier was not rude because he could hear the conversation from the dining room. This is not true and we will never go back. The meat was very tasty, seasoned perfectly...delish! (I hate when you get a burger that is gristly) Customer service is great! My husband had the bacon cheeseburger, he said it was awesome! I had the taco burger. It was pretty good. The service was very very friendly. I think we were helped by the owners. Again, they were so friendly. The only reason for not the full five stars is that they did not have their homemade salsa for the taco burger. That would've made it even yummier! also, although the restaurant was clean, the bathroom needed some help, and the front door and windows were really, really dirty, but, that would not deter me from going again, and I would definitely recommend the burgers, well worth the trip, And price not too bad, would love to try some of the other menu items such as their cheesesteak sandwich and their potato salad. I DoorDashed a burger today. Aroma was amazing, so I had to go back after my Dash. I ordered the Pepperjack cheese burger with sautéed jalapeños. I ordered the meal and chose the option of Mexican corn. Service: The entire staff were friendly and helpful. Atmosphere: hole in the wall family owned business... always the best. Price: I paid $20 that included a generous tip. I think the bill was around 12 or 13, included side, drink, and tax. Flavor: I am embarrassed what my palate was experiencing with the flavor profile. Not Actually Called Taco Burger - But Worth Finding! This spot isn't actually called Taco Burger--it's under a different name and located in a shopping center next to Cato's. My husband and I decided to give it a try, and as soon as we walked in, we could tell it was a small mom-and-pop kind of place. It was clean and welcoming! I originally wanted a BLT, but they were out of bacon--bummer. My husband ordered the Cheddar BBQ Burger, and I went with the Texas Cheesesteak. Both meals came with fries and a drink. Now, here's my only big gripe: they gave us bottled drinks. I really prefer fountain drinks with lots of ice, especially in a big Styrofoam cup to keep it cold. Just a personal thing--but it makes a difference! The food came out hot and fresh. The fries? So good--crispy and well-seasoned. My husband loved his burger and said the flavor was on point. As for the Texas Cheesesteak, it had a little kick to it and was absolutely delicious. The chipotle sauce and the quality of the meat really stood out. I'd 100% order it again. They give you a generous portion for the price--great value. I couldn't finish mine and asked for a to-go plate, but they only had a single piece of foil. That definitely made packing leftovers a bit tricky, so I'd suggest they invest in takeout containers and a soda fountain machine. All in all, it's a solid spot with tasty food and good prices. The fries were fresh and seasoned just right. The burger was cooked to perfection, juicy and very tasty. The street corn was some of the best I've ever eaten. Things are cooked to order so it takes a few extra minutes but worth the wait. We want to try their pizza next time. Located inside of Uzy's Pizza while trying to get established in today's economy, Taco Burger served up a great, fresh and tasty burger that can't be missed.
