Let's start with my husband's jalapeño burger... y'all... he took ONE bite and immediately hit me with "this tastes like a high-quality homemade burger." And he wasn't lying. Juicy, flavorful, perfectly cooked--like backyard grill mastery but elevated. Now let's talk about the kiddo's chicken tenders--because WHAT?! These weren't your average frozen, tossed-in-the-fryer situation. These were hands down some of the BEST chicken tenders I've had in a long time. Fresh, crispy, perfectly breaded, cooked to absolute perfection--and don't even get me started on the fries... golden, crispy, and downright addictive. And then... MY plate. The street taco plate with carne asada. Listen... this didn't just meet expectations--it BLEW THEM OUT OF THE WATER. The meat was fresh, insanely well seasoned (not overdone, not dry--just PERFECT). The flavors were bold without being overwhelming. And the sauces?! Unreal. The serrano sauce had the perfect kick without burning your soul off, and that avocado salsa? Smooth, flavorful, and chef's kiss. As someone who lives in Texas, I can confidently say--this is NOT your typical Tex-Mex spot. And thank goodness for that. So many places either overcook everything or completely miss the seasoning... but not here. This is authentic flavor, done RIGHT. This has officially become my go-to taco spot. No question. I've been here three times already and I'm ready to leave a review! The first time, we decided to do takeout. I got the California Avocado Burger with onion rings, and my boyfriend got The Big Mike with chili cheese fries. Both burgers were fantastic. The onion rings were well battered and good. The chili cheese fries, on the other hand, were not great. Do NOT get the chili. The second time, we dined in. I got the Jalapeño Burger, and my boyfriend got the Steak Philly with a side of onion rings. The burger was bomb, but next time I would get it with a different type of cheese. They weren't skimpy with the Steak Philly at all, but it was just meh. The third time, we dined in again and decided to get the 10 Al Pastor tacos deal. I loved how it was plated, and they did not skimp on the meat, but it was way too salty. Service is quick, and the wait for the food isn't long. They do get pretty busy, but there's plenty of seating. They also have an area where you can grab your own condiments and peppers, which I love. I would definitely recommend their burgers for sure. And ingredients on the burger was great but way to much lettuce and would have been preferred romaine lettuce but they don't have it. Duuuuude the food here is so good. I ordered the Gigante Mexican with the fries and it was so delicious. The burger had a smoky taste to it that went well with the pineapple and the fries were perfectly crispy. On top of that the prices are pretty cheap for the portions they give you. I finally decided to try OC after having it bookmarked for some time. I came in around lunch time to a crowd but was able to find seating and I ordered. OC has a good sized menu, I took some time to decide what I wanted, I ordered the western burger which comes with onion rings, bbq sauce, cheese and bacon. I ordered a fry and drink as well and it came to around 12 dollars. My food came out pretty quickly and piping hot, I was really looking forward to digging in. I'm sorry, but I didn't care for this burger at all. The beef had an artificial grilled taste to me; I don't know if they use an actual grill or if the patties were frozen, also I wasn't crazy about the taste of the bacon or bbq sauce. I typically don't get a western burger because of the uncertainty of the bbq sauce taste and bacon that can be used, but i still took the chance. The fries were fresh and tasty and I liked that the area by the fountain machine has extra condiments, sauces, peppers to add to the burger. Best "fast" burger in DFW. There's Keller Drive In, there's Shake Shack, there's all the rest, but OC takes the cake, and I'm going to have to make a special trip when I move from the area next year. this review is going to be biased... Since i moved from Orange County to Texas. Subjectively, this place reminds me of home and the local burger joints (PK/TK/Crystal Cove burger) back in OC. Objectively speaking, this place has solid burgers/food. While i can always go to in-n-out (so glad they have locations in texas) I opted for the california burger which comes with avocados... something you can't get on a burger at in-n-out. I also made it a combo. The burger was so damn tasty. The beef patty were juicy and the burger was decently sized. The combo comes with fries and drinks, and the fries were also great. They're not like the typical fast food fries, and they are a bit thicker. They also have plenty of sauces for you to pick from next to the soda machine. They also sell other items besides burgers such as subs, ice cream, and mexican food. All in all, i'll be back. read more

I usually don't review places that are essentially fast food places, but this is fast food plus. Pretty quick service and green l been there numerous times over the past 30 years or so and never been disappointed (don't eat more often due to where it's located from where I have lived). I love jalapeno cheeseburgers and this one is pretty good size with 2 hamburger patties. The meat has a great flavor and even their OC sauce is pretty good. They do have a varied menu, but I hadn't tried their Mexican menu or anything aside from the burgers and fries. I will tell you do NOT get their large fries if get cheese fries, OC fries, etc unless you are VERY hungry or only eating that since they are massive orders. Even just the small (in picture) filled me up enough not to eat near enough of my burger (only a half or a little more). But want a very good burger at not a huge price? Try this place and try a few of their insanely long list of items they carry. For the OC fries and burger cost just over $13 fyi which is similar to prices at any fast food place these days. read more
