Current drive thru menu. I ordered the super: salad, taco and burrito. They were all good.

Seems a new updated review is in order. I had been gone for a while. When I got back though it was the same great food they have always had. This is good food at a great value. Sure it is fast food. I like it though. It is similar to food Taco Bell served in the 80's. Is it fine cuisine?? Ehh no but is their a place for it in my heart and wallet? I think definitely a resounding yes. The difference w the combo burrito and supreme burrito is the combo burrito concentrates on the beef bean and cheese. Supreme here equates to cheese sour cream olives cheese added to the item. Very tasty at a decent price. Yumm

Mild sauce taste like red enchilada sauce

This place definitely reminds me of a Taco Bell/del taco type style food. The taco was okay and the burrito was as well. It isn't the best quality, but you get what you pay for. It is okay if you want to get something cheap and quick. Customer service was good, cannot complain there.

Chilada for lunch, it was cheesy and delicious. It was very filling and not over priced.

Thought we'd give it a try seeing as it was 10 minutes off I-35. Found the small place and it was exactly what we were looking for! The chips and salsa was super tasty, the half and half tea was on point, and you can't go wrong with a Mexican coke! Ordered the cheese enchiladas plate and the wife got a quesadilla. We were pleasantly satisfied and they hit the spot. Tbh though, the beans and rice won my heart being so flavorful and delicious. The service was superb and I appreciated their thoughtfulness of checking on us to make sure we were doing ok. All in all, we highly recommend you visit them if you're in the area, we got a table quick around 7 pm and it was a quaint epic time! Try it soon and you won't regret!

Their homemade chips are light and crispy, and their salsa is super flavorful while not overly spicy. It hits that happy medium between my husband and me. Breakfast is also great. You go in and pretty much grab a table unless there's a line with people waiting. Service is always friendly and efficient. Prices are fair. Typical mom and pop type interior with a mixture of booth seating and tables with metal chairs. It's always clean. Branch out and try something new. Highly recommend.

Music is softly playing in the background. The bar is large with three TVs. Very warm and inviting. Score: 10 out of 10 Chips: Chips are medium thickness, unsalted, very nice. Score: 7.5 out of 10 Salsa: Salsa has a beautiful traditional tomato based flavor medium on the spicing and low heat - flavorful. Score: 9 out of 10 Chicken Quesadilla w/ onions & peppers: Skip this one. The chicken is absolutely bone dry, tough, and overcooked. The peppers and onions are beautifully sautéed al dente and the cheese veg and meat ratios are proportional. Score: 2 out of 10 Guacamole: Very nice, but had bit of saltiness to the point I could not enjoy it. (Note: I also don't use much salt myself, so the average person may not even notice it.) Score: 2 out of 10 Beef Enchilada with chili con Carne sauce: Good portion. Meat is moist, not greasy, but also not seasoned very much. The chili carne sauce was nice but had a bit of sweetness (possibly sugar added). Was enjoyable, but not outstanding. Score: 7 out of 10 Sour Cream Chicken Enchilada: Amazing! Outstanding! Absolutely get some! The chicken is extremely moist, absolutely perfect seasoning with just a gentle hint of heat. The sauce has a beautiful tang from the sour cream and the correct consistency. Good portion. Can't wait to come back and have them again. Score: 10 out of 10 Server (CiCi) Absolutely wonderful. Very attentive refresh my drink without me asking for it and very courteous. Score: 10 out of 10 Overall Score: 7.5 But for the guacamole and quesadilla issues, score would be 9 out of 10. DEFINITELY go for the Sour Cream Enchiladas!!!! I'll be back for those!

Full disclosure, I've only had one thing on their menu, because this dish is that dang good. My…read morereview is on this dish because it's all I come here for: the Mexican Bowl!! It is the best Mexican dish I've ever had of it's kind. Their green sauce dip for the chips is also fantastic. I LOVE ordering extra green sauce for the Mexican Bowl. The Mexican Bowl is perfect on it's own, but their green sauce takes it to a whole 'nother level. I adore the Mexican Bowl for it's flavor, quantity and ingredients. Let's start with the protein. I get the beef. Their beef is everything to me. How can food be everything? I've never had beef this good in my life - except in my childhood when staying at my Mexican grandmother's house. Hence, you can imagine my face, and heart, when I took a bite of their beef!! Core memories unlocked. Ah, the things food can do. The Mexican Bowl isn't spicy either, which is perfect for me. I'm that oddball Latina that can't have food spicier than pico de gallo! Also, the mix of veggies, protein, etc, are just the right portions. Nothing over powers the other. The flavor in my mouth with each bite is like the very first. I highly recommend the Mexican Bowl, consider some green sauce on the side, if you're seeking a great, light, healthy, tasty Mexican dish. At least for me, it's more than a great dish.

I went for dinner and I was the only person in the restaurant on a Monday night. The server was sitting in the corner hiding behind an opened menu talking on his cell phone. After some time waiting (the bartender sat me) he eventually took my order. Even though the restaurant was empty my food took 40 mins. When I complained after 30 he assured me it would be out in a few minutes. I ordered the mixed grill Delicioso with seafood which when it arrived had been sitting cooking so long the fish was jerky. There were two tiny overcooked pieces of carnitas. Everything else was over cooked. So disappointing. After 25 visits this is likely my last. Clearly the place has fallen apart.

I have to say, Fuego's food is good. Unfortunately, the customer service at the Waco location seems…read moreto be operating under the assumption that customers are optional. I stood at the counter for about five minutes waiting to place my order while an employee continued making tortillas and completely ignored my existence. Not a "Hi," not an "I'll be right with you," not even eye contact. I genuinely started wondering if I had somehow become invisible. After finally placing my order, I waited another ten minutes for my to-go food. When they eventually handed me an order, it wasn't even mine. The same employee who took my order was the one who gave me the wrong bag, which was honestly impressive in a way I wish it hadn't been. The restaurant only had a couple of customers at the time, so this wasn't a case of being overwhelmed during a lunch rush. There were more employees working than customers ordering, yet somehow my husband and I still felt forgotten. What really sealed the experience was the complete lack of urgency or concern. We were clearly frustrated, and the staff seemed entirely unaware--or entirely unbothered. It's hard to tell which is worse. The food saved this review from being one star because it was actually good. But good tacos can only carry so much weight when the customer service makes you feel like you're interrupting someone's day by ordering food at a restaurant. If the service matched the quality of the food, Fuego would be a five-star experience. Right now, the tortillas are doing all the heavy lifting.
