Just know that no trip to ttown is complete without a stop at TC!! OMG!!! I was in town a few months ago and this was the preferred destination for my friends and I after a long day. We LOVE Taco Casa, y'all!!! The inside service was cool but it was busy . The drive thru was busy as well. Once we got our food , we headed back to our hotel lobby to chow down.... And we did!!! This place is like old school Taco Bell or even similar to our beloved Taco Sombrero in Gulfport! My lady got a taco salad and I had a beef enchilada combo with a burrito and chips. They messed up my order when I asked for queso for my chips but they covered my enchilada in it. Still didn't suck. Quite tasty for a quick and budget friendly meal. We had a family of 3 ladies in front of us and food took 20+ minutes to be ready. Nobody in drive through. The tacos were greasy as hell. They gave me the wrong flavor drink, I still didn't complain because they filled it to the top with ice. When I asked for LIGHT Ice. So i knew i'd need a refill after I drank the 4 ounces of liquid in the med cup of ice. Take it back for a refill and not one but 2 assholes ( I mean employees) rolled their eyes and walked away when I asked for a refill. I ended up walking away without refill. Burritos are not great but the tostadas were excellent. My issue with the burritos were that the sauce leaked out and you could not pick it up. Tostadas on the other hand were crisp and had lots of toppings. The take home message is get the tostadas. read more

As far as cheap Mexican food goes, it gets pricey fast. $7-8 for essentially a small bowl of chips, side of queso, and a regular drink seems a bit much when you can drive down the street and get a more varied meal for the same price. read more

This is basically a Taco Bell equivalent of local Mexican fast food in Tuscaloosa. The food was greasy, nasty, and exactly what I was looking for. I ordered a taco salad and they had it ready in less than 30 seconds. Scary! Please do yourself the favor and don't use the drive thru. It was hilariously appalling that on my stop here during lunch hour, there were more than 20 cars looping around the drive thru, the building, and out into the road, while the lot only had 3 cars and barely anyone inside. Super rude manager, Shannon, when I kindly pointed out that the kitchen prep team wasn't wearing masks and/or weren't wearing them correctly. I called the Health Dept. and corporate headquarters. Health dept went by today (which Taco Casa knew they were coming by) and then sent me a snarky message. Our family has supported them for years so it's disappointing to be treated this way. I'm getting charged a convenience fee! Come on now. I can go right down the street and get twice the amount of food for about the same price and get a bag of chips and salsa to go with it. I got charged the credit card fee when I went inside and got charged the conv fee when going through the drive through. People will continue to go here because it's a trend here in Tuscaloosa. You have a unique flavor and good enchiladas with nice little cubed ice for your sweet tea but that's about it for me. For many years I've been coming to your restaurant regardless of how sloppy my burritos were or how soggy my tacos were, or wet the bottom of my bag was from stuff dripping out of the wrappers. You're food is good but it's always been on the high price and it's always been sloppy. I can't count the times I got nacho cheese all over the side of my container that only made a bigger mess when trying to unwrap the ten layers of saran wrap with cheese all over it.
