    Chips and small queso
    LaVonna V.

Food was ok. The type of space that have altered Latin/Hispanic flavors for the gringo palette. Great value for portion. Yummy fresh corn tortillas. The protein flavors weren't what I was craving per se but it was good. My beans were too salty. No cotilla cheese on my taquito. Free chips and salsa to start. I'll never complain about places that still do this.

This is a small place on Airline. It was not busy at all for a Saturday at lunch time. It is ver festive on the inside. We started with the margaritas which were just ok. I had the enchiladas trio which was good. I enjoyed the variety. My dining mate had the parrillada which he loved. It was also a very large portion. We also received complimentary chips and salsa to start and added queso. The queso was very good. I would come back but may skip the margaritas.

    Chicken fajitas

Thoroughly enjoyed this new Mexican spot that we heard about from a Facebook group. Small restaurant, nice sized menu. The complimentary tortilla chips and salsa were delicious. The prices are fair. Housed in what appears to be a (very) former Taco Bell, the space is bright and inviting. My dining companion's birria pizza resembled more of a quesadilla. It was FULL of meat and the consommé was top notch. The fajitas were good, not great- bland for my taste and what I'm used to from TexMex. They use cucumber in their pico de gallo which is fantastic. We will be back!

Nachos - extra cheese, sour cream, and guacamole

Pretty solid Mexican food! The nachos are great and plentiful, though I would recommend requesting more cheese if you like a decent amount of cheese! They gave me a ton of meat. The chicken tortilla soup is so hearty and delicious! I prefer birria tacos from another spot, but these are solid!

Very cute place. Went Mardi Gras day and it was surprisingly busy. Only one young man to wait on the entire dining room but he was great. My husband ordered the shrimp enchiladas with the salsa verde from the à la carte menu and he said the were just meh. I forgot the name of what I ordered - it was pork, steak, chicken, shrimp, chorizo, smoked sausage, cactus, some sort of pepper, and cheese along with peppers & onions - all grilled, and served in some sort of broth in a big stone bowl along with beans, rice, guacamole, sour cream, & pico on the side. The main dish was amazing; I never touched the beans & rice. I ordered the portion for one person, my husband and I shared, and I brought home leftovers. I would definitely go back again.

I really enjoy taco daddy's menu as well as the people who work there. I used to go to El Paso, but now taco daddy's is my favorite.

I stopped by here around 2pm (after lunch rush) on a weekday after picking up a friend from the airport. The staff were so friendly and helpful even though we left a bit of a mess with the baby deciding to throw her food around after her belly was full. I apologize for the mess and thank you for taking care of us!!! I noticed the staff worked together as a team to take care of its patrons. We ordered the banh xeo- it was very crispy and full of fillings (bean sprouts, onions, pork, shrimp). The banh xeo itself had a noticeable sweet coconut taste which complemented the savory filings. The bun bo hue had a good spicy lemongrass flavor and the meats were tender and juicy. The lemongrass tofu vermicelli was also good! Meal portions were generous and we enjoyed all the food. Nudo is definitely worthy to be added to your list of lunch/dinner rotations. We had a great dining experience there and hope you do too!

Though I am…read morehappy to get a chance to be the first to review Vintage Garden Kitchen on Yelp, because this is an absolute *gem* of a business, and everyone in the world needs to know about it. Yesterday afternoon, I saw a tweet reminding people to place orders before 4pm, because today (Wednesday) is the day they deliver - yes, that's right, deliver! - their jars of amazingly delicious, healthy, vegetarian-friendly, locally sourced, and [insert list of superlatives and synonyms for the word awesome] soup. Straight from their garden, via the kitchen, to your door. Thanks to the reminder on Twitter, I placed my order online yesterday afternoon for four pints of soup: Fiery Shiitake Mushroom and Barley; Moroccan Chickpea Stew; Rustic Vegetable Bean; and Vegan Lentils and Greens. Each pint comes in a re-usable mason jar, and when you collect six of those, you get a free pint of soup with your next order! Brilliant: it's savvy (saves the business money), and green, and convenient. There's so much win here that I'm having a hard time putting it into words. Long story sort: The Vintage Garden Kitchen is an Arc Enterprises Company, meaning that not only do they provide amazing food (AND DELIVER IT TO YOUR DOOR!), but also, in doing so they provide employment for adults with developmental disabilities. (They're one of the businesses run by the nonprofit Arc of Greater New Orleans.) I've seen the garden where they grow all the food that is used to make these amazing soups, and it blows my mind that food this fresh, this nutritious, and this beautifully convenient is available in New Orleans. But wait, it gets better: their food is shockingly affordable. A half pint of, say, Moroccan Chickpea Stew feeds 2 people, and costs $4.99. The minimum order for delivery is $15, so for four pints I paid about $22.00, and it was delivered the very next day. How. Awesome. Is. That. Seriously. They deliver every Wednesday between 10am and 2pm, and orders must be placed before 4pm on Tuesday to ensure delivery. They deliver to 70001, 70005, 70115, 70118, 70119 (yay!), 70124, and 70125. Again, the minimum order for delivery is $15 (so, approximately three pints, or two quarts, blah blah math and stuff). They take credit cards, it's easy to place an order online, and you can also order in two other ways. Either pre-order for pick-up (and you can come get your soups between 8am and 4pm M-F), or if you don't want to pre-order, you can simply stop by during business hours. Walk-ins are welcome, too! So...yeah. Amazing, amazing, amazing. I'm so glad the Vintage Garden Kitchen exists. I highly recommend you give them a try. Then you, too, can write your very own rave review of this freaking awesome local business. Well done, Vintage Garden Kitchen. Well done. And THANKS!

Some of my favorite are the Yellow Split Pea soup, Mushroom and Asparagus, Moroccan Chickpea Stew; Rustic Vegetable Bean, Roasted Buternut Squash, Chicken & Andouille Gumbo, Sweet Roasted Pepper & Carrot, Veggie Tortilla Soup, Smothered Chicken with Rice & Greens - SO MANY GREAT SOUPS!!!! The location is a little out of the way, on Labarre south of Airline Highway across the railroad tracks, but definetly worth the trip!!!!

His name isDRAKE This review is Definitely Not about the Food or the ambiance Both ranks very high in my book. I've been a faithful customer to this establishment as long as i've lived in New Orleans sometimes every day for lunch . We've moved to another state but trust me every-time I'm here i visit at least 5 x without hesitation for my Zea Ribs. Which brings me to my last visit on Friday evening Aug. 6th just after a long month spent in new orleans on business and again several visits to my Favorite Zea. My husband and myself decided to take in our last meal before heading back home we sat at the bar The bartender Drake was serving our party my husband and friend couldn't remember the name of the particular drink they'd had previously prepared by our regular bartender Jessica . I thought it was a pretty simple look at the last order on our tab to figure out what they were drinking.,,,,,,, They were trying to remember but Drake was becoming annoyed and angry by the minute finally he completely walked away and dismissed us totally. I was Flabbergasted ! He never came back or acknowledged our presence at the bar that's when i requested to speak with a manager whom accommodated us and spoke with us to rectify the situation but even as she was speaking with him we noticed how rude and abrupt his attitude was. Personally he should have been removed off the floor it cost nothing for kindness and to be courteous to all customers. Unfortunately Drake seems to need further training in customer service. For the future when i return to Zea if I see him at the bar I will definitely take my business where it will be appreciated. I will Not patronize where the staff has zero respect for the customer.
