Do not think this is going to be excellent hibachi. I ordered chicken hibachi and there was cartledge and a bone on my chicken. The chicken pieces were not as small as I would have liked. I enjoy their seaweed and avocado salads, their wide variety of nigiri, gyozas, spring rolls, and shrimp tempura the most. There is so much on the menu to try, being the best time at an AYCE. The restaurant is large and decorated beautify with glossy wood and a tree at the entrance. If I am eating solo, I like to sit a the bar for quicker service. We went to this new location of Sushi Masa for their first day opening last night, and we were impressed! I went with two people who had tried other Sushi Masa locations, and they both said that this was by far the best location they've tried in terms of menu selections, quality of food, taste of each item, and service. If you're a newbie to Sushi Masa like I am, this is a small local chain of AYCE (all-you-can-eat) restaurants. They offer items outside of the AYCE menu to purchase separately too, but if you're a big eater, the AYCE option is the best bang for your buck. It's about $32 for AYCE and they have TONS of seafood choices. Their menu is expansive and you definitely won't get to try everything in one visit. They offer appetizers, salads, soups, sushi, sashimi, drinks (with your first alcoholic drink free), and even dessert in their AYCE pricing! It's honestly quite a deal! We went for their grand opening, so it was packed! We put our name on the waitlist and it was a one-hour wait, but so worth it. The waitlist process was convenient and easy too. You can check how many reservations (with the size of each group) are ahead of you on your phone to get real-time updates on the status of a table being available for you. Once seated, you place your orders and the items you request will be brought to your table as they are prepared. Each item was freshly prepared and the quality was very decent for an AYCE! I didn't have any complaints about any of the items, the staff were well-prepared and attentive (even though it was their first day and it was a full house!), and I had a fantastic dinner! Every item I tried was delicious tonight! I'm usually a little weary about the quality at AYCE restaurants, but this new Sushi Masa here was amazing! One great thing to note is that this is AYCE, but since each item is made to order and brought to your table, unlike a buffet, you don't have the issue of potential contamination of food by other customers, and you don't need to worry about unpopular items sitting under a heat lamp. We were ready for desert but could find our server for over 10 minutes. Menu noted 4 Oreos per order we got 3 each. Ice cream was ordered when we ordered dessert- came long time later. Asked for check when we ordered desserts recognizing the long delays but had to ask for a second time. No plate clearing occurred- we had to bus to another table. We stopped by this place spontaneously and discovered that they have an all-you-can-eat sushi lunch menu for $20.95. This was a good value because there is a lot to select from! It includes hot items from the kitchen like shrimp fried rice, miso soup, and tempura veggies. The sushi was delicious and the wait wasn't too long. You can also choose from a handful of ice creams for dessert. Our server was courteous and answered all our questions politely. The inside decorum was very spacious and clean. The one in BR had okay service, but the lighting was so dim that it was personally hard to see the menu. As for the food, I can't even complain! I got their All You Can Eat Dinner option that has a reasonable 2 hour time limit. The Lunch option is around $10 less than the Dinner option, but Lunch ends at 2:30 pm. The sushi quality was really good! I'm more of a sashimi guy, so I definitely ordered a lot of tuna and yellow tail. With tax and not including tip, it totaled to $36.16 which is pretty reasonable considering everything you get with the order. I had the beef and chicken teriyaki (which I called my "Turf and Turf") along with takoyaki, beef noodles, and the yummy roll. Between me and my fiancé, we also had four bottles of sake. Everything came out right, hot, and tasty. Cashius made sure we had all our sauces, got the birthday shout for our friend, and really went above and beyond. There is a lot of room to host your party of any size. The reviews say the service is inadequate, but I've never had this issue and I've been there so many times. Servers are really nice and they're ready to handle my hefty list of items. I will say, in the beginning they forgot our orders a lot of the time, but I haven't had this issue as of late.
