One of the best taco places I have been to. The food is tasty! I will definitely continue to go.

First, the Papas served at this food truck are crazy good..a must try. Their tacos are made using higher quality ingredients, with meats authentic Mexican. They range from so-so to pretty good. Asada is tough, chewy and sinewy, pass on that. But the al pastor and adobada are pretty good - more tender since marinated, but not saucy. Tacos are big, with probably twice the meat as your usual street taco. I missed out on their fresh pineapple somehow, you must have to ask for it. And they only gave me green salsa - it's pretty good but I prefer more punch. Tacos range in price from $3.50 to $4.00. They also serve a fish and shrimp tacos, quesabirria, plus tortas, burritos and quesadillas. I'll definitely be back to try more. Bonus, they take cards. read more

Taco Republic is absolutely fantastic! I've actually eaten here twice (two weeks in a row) I had to come back the second time after having the Quesabirria tacos the first time. The staff are friendly and helpful. It's a pleasure coming here and you know they will take great care of you. The food is out of the world amazing! If you have been here, you have to try it. The tacos are legit packed with flavor and everything is fresh and made to order. I have not had a single thing that I was not blown away by. The Quesabirria tacos are probably my absolute favorite in Oklahoma. The consommé was clean and refreshing and a great accompaniment to the Quesabirria tacos that were served piping hot and the cheese pull was on point. The shrimp tacos were light and packed with flavor and supreme. It's hard to pick just one so come with an appetite and order lots to try everything. The beans had me a bit nervous with the hot dogs but it works and it definitely adds to the dish so don't be afraid to try them. You'll be impressed for sure! read more

Dropped in yesterday to check them out. Had a shrimp and adobo taco as well as the adobo papas. You notice the difference of a blue tortilla right off the bat - someone gives a damn. I know they cost a little more but in the name of good food, they get it. The shrimp were large, the avocado on top added a nice bit of creamy texture and fat - the sauce - I believe chipotle crema was on point. The adobo had great flavor, had that lil tang you want. The onions and cilantro made it pop. And now the sequel - Today - Steak/Chicken/Fish. Again very well executed. If you are lucky enough to be around, hit this place up. I live in New England and finding great Mexican food is almost impossible. Considered hooking the trailer to the rental car but alas - no hitch. NOTE - **** - I have been there twice - both times patrons asked me if it was my first time. They wanted to tell me they come often. How often do you go to a place where others are bragging about how often they visit - some do 2-3 times a week. Hello. Do you get that? With all the choices they are coming back and back often. Food was good. I called my order in. They said 20 min. I arrived and waited another 20 min in my car. Name used to be Taco Republic but now it's Taco Empire. Service was pleasant. Papas were very flavorful, my favorite in the city!! Slight kick and seasoned perfectly. We also got the Asada Torta was good all the ingredients were good, a little dry, I would have liked it a little toasted and some Mexican mayo. The asada burrito was good too. The salsas were different, for me the flavors didn't quite match but doesn't mean you may not enjoy it!? Overall, not bad. Give them a try! Word on the street they are going stationary, I wish her the best of luck!! I gave them 4 stars because the business card email isn't current. We stopped by this food truck on north May after a recommendation. We ordered fish tacos, shrimp, beef and pork. For a total of six Tacos and 2 waters. Total came to just under $36.00. When ordering we specifically asked the girl if anything was spicy and she said no that just their salsas were hot. First bite of the fish and shrimp tacos indicated that was not the case as the sauce they put on the top was indeed spicy as hell. My wife was gagging from how hot it was and she eats hot stuff. The meat inside my beef and pork were cold. Was extremely disappointed. Lastly, Taco Republic when someone gives you a tip BEFORE eating try as little thing we call THANK YOU!!!! Its 102 degrees at 7pm and feels hotter. Learned to love food trucks on the west coast and thought tacos would be cool and light. Didn't know they had quesobirria. Too much flavor, too much of that feeling of home to pass up. They do it right- the time they put in brings complexity. You just start to smell the flavor right before the bite. So good, dipped in the warm broth. Picked up a shrimp taco, fresh and flavorful but I was already good. And the papas- hit me with that spice (not hot....spicy). A must.
