By far my favorite food truck in the city. They actually did our wedding and went above and beyond! The service was so fast and incredible and the food is amazing!!! I can't wait for the brick and mortar to open. If you haven't tried the papas, please run to try them. The quesabirra tacos are amazing. They even have vegetarian and vegan options. They were so easy to work with! We appreciate Pilar and the whole team!

Taco Republic is absolutely fantastic! I've actually eaten here twice (two weeks in a row) I had to come back the second time after having the Quesabirria tacos the first time. The staff are friendly and helpful. It's a pleasure coming here and you know they will take great care of you. The food is out of the world amazing! If you have been here, you have to try it. The tacos are legit packed with flavor and everything is fresh and made to order. I have not had a single thing that I was not blown away by. The Quesabirria tacos are probably my absolute favorite in Oklahoma. The consommé was clean and refreshing and a great accompaniment to the Quesabirria tacos that were served piping hot and the cheese pull was on point. The shrimp tacos were light and packed with flavor and supreme. It's hard to pick just one so come with an appetite and order lots to try everything. The beans had me a bit nervous with the hot dogs but it works and it definitely adds to the dish so don't be afraid to try them. You'll be impressed for sure!

They had us at birria tacos! We stopped by the food truck on Britton and May and finally got a taste of what all the hoopla is about. Yes, these birria tacos hit, so do yourself a favor and indulge.

Delicious and will be back! The guys working there were nice and patient in helping me decide what to order. It's in a parking lot on the north east corner of May and Britton, easy to get to!

Most delicious tacos! The fresh, blue corn tortillas really put it over the top. Amazing must try.

Great service and the tacos are delicious! Clean environment and good menu options and authentic Mexican food.

    Pollo, steak and fish tacos.

Dropped in yesterday to check them out. Had a shrimp and adobo taco as well as the adobo papas. You notice the difference of a blue tortilla right off the bat - someone gives a damn. I know they cost a little more but in the name of good food, they get it. The shrimp were large, the avocado on top added a nice bit of creamy texture and fat - the sauce - I believe chipotle crema was on point. The adobo had great flavor, had that lil tang you want. The onions and cilantro made it pop. And now the sequel - Today - Steak/Chicken/Fish. Again very well executed. If you are lucky enough to be around, hit this place up. I live in New England and finding great Mexican food is almost impossible. Considered hooking the trailer to the rental car but alas - no hitch. NOTE - **** - I have been there twice - both times patrons asked me if it was my first time. They wanted to tell me they come often. How often do you go to a place where others are bragging about how often they visit - some do 2-3 times a week. Hello. Do you get that? With all the choices they are coming back and back often. There is a reason. (This is the part where we wait to see if you figure it out...) Life is too short to keep eating mediocre food. Find the good stuff peeps! Stay hungry.

Food was good. I called my order in. They said 20 min. I arrived and waited another 20 min in my car. Name used to be Taco Republic but now it's Taco Empire. Service was pleasant. Papas were very flavorful, my favorite in the city!! Slight kick and seasoned perfectly. We also got the Asada Torta was good all the ingredients were good, a little dry, I would have liked it a little toasted and some Mexican mayo. The asada burrito was good too. The salsas were different, for me the flavors didn't quite match but doesn't mean you may not enjoy it!? Overall, not bad. Give them a try! Word on the street they are going stationary, I wish her the best of luck!! I gave them 4 stars because the business card email isn't current. I had tried to email about a catering opportunity and the email kicked back. Email on website and email on the business card. I think it'd really be great if they had breakfast options!!

Ambiance: Very loud live music and chaotic in general. More chaotic than a standard Mexican restaurant. One visit, tacos were being cooked outside on a Santa Maria style grill. Food: Birria Tacos are the best thing on the menu. Cheesy, juicy, and packed with flavor. Topped with cilantro and wonderful consommé. The white sauce is a great addition as well as the green sauce. The Pin Wheels are not the best for the salsa. The salsa is mediocre and also spicy. The Surf and Turf Quesadillas are cheesy and packed with meat. The same meal as a burrito is good, but not preferred over the quesadillas. The Ceviche is out of this world. A heaping portion of perfectly citrus and not too fishy. The only meal that was not good was the Marlin Quesadilla. It was too fishy and tasted like fishy BBQ.

We didn't get photos of all of our food, but everything we tried was really enjoyable. The service was attentive, and our waitress was very patient with us as first-timers, I had a few questions about how some of the menu items were prepared, and she was happy to help. Nice use of space isn't as it's not the largest restaurant- there's a bar area, then a layout of tables and booths that would work great for large groups. Will return again the next time we're in OKC area to grab a patio seat.

There were plenty of tables and places to sit. The hostess got us to a table and we sat and ordered our food and talked and caught up. There was this guy I can only assume he must've been a manager, he kept hovering over our table, making sure our drinks were filled even after we had got through eating and just kept hovering like he was waiting for us to leave. I looked around the restaurant and there were plenty of tables that were empty. So I don't understand why he was hovering over us and trying to rush us out of the restaurant. It was probably the worst experience I've ever had at this restaurant. I don't know if he was just racist or if he was just being an asshole, but either way if someone comes in to pay for a meal and is sitting down and talking in the restaurant isn't busy. I don't see why there's a reason for you to turn around and try and force people out. To say the whole experience turned me off and I will probably not go back to this restaurant for a while.

It was very busy when we walked in but there was no wait. We were thankfully seated immediately and started off with chips and salsa. The chips were nice and crispy, but the salsa was mediocre. The tomatoes tasted canned. While I can totally get the efficiency behind using canned tomatoes for a busy restaurant, the taste is not preferred. The kids chicken quesadilla plate was a good amount of food! I just wish the quesadilla was already sliced as it was for our 3 year old. The chicken was also bland. Again, the portions were great. My son ordered the Burrito La Herencia with ground beef and this was seasoned well. Again, great portions of beans, rice & main dish. No complaints with this one! My spouse ordered the La Herencia fajita special and felt as if it was lacking. The steak pieces were minuscule and the shrimp was bland and undercooked. The pork chop was thinly sliced which was nice but VERY salty. We were wishing for more peppers and onions as well. Overall this dish was salty, but tolerable! It came with a side plate of rice, beans, pico de gallo, guac, sour cream & lettuce. Served with flour tortillas. We ordered the queso & guac while we were looking at the menu and waiting. I personally did not enjoy the queso. It was thick and had an artificial mouth feel. The guac was decent! Bland overall but I love the taste of avocado. I wish it had more lime and seasoning though since it was supposed to be Guacamole and not avocado dip. I ordered the Steak Mexicano with extra jalapeños and this was very good. Still on the salty side but I enjoy things on a SLIGHTLY saltier range. My spouse thought the steak was TOO salty. The peppers, onions, and tomatoes were nicely sautéed and seasoned. The rice here is also DELICIOUS. I hate a bland Mexican rice. The beans were good too but nothing to write home about. I do wish I was offered a side of corn tortillas. Overall this experience was okay! Not the worst but definitely not the best. The restaurant was beautifully decorated but there was a noticeable lack of music. We were sat listening to the chatter of all the different customers and kitchen noises. We did have the option of booth or table AND they have boosters seats/ high chairs upon request.
