First off, this place should not consider itself a Mexican restaurant. The beans are straight from a can and taste like beans that you get from a tv dinner. Had a cheese enchilada and the tortilla was ROCK HARD!!!! It took me about 5 minutes to cut it into 3 different pieces (they only supply you with plastic forks/spoons). The rice was okay. The salsa is basically clumped up ketchup. I still cannot believe they are still in business. Also, the customer service is HORRIBLE!!! The person taking the orders has a terrible ATTITUDE!! She apparently made it a point to tell me that her father owns the place and i said "you still work at taco factory, so drop the freakin attitude". I just want to start by saying I like the building, it has this nostalgic 90s feel to it. The food very good, lots of flavor. I had the Chile Verde burrito and the Chile Relleno and some fries, it was amazing. Customer service very good aswell. The only negative thing I need to say about this place is the parking. I would give this place 10 stars if I could. Their food speaks for itself. Low prices for excellent food. I live in Vegas now but always stop by if I'm in town. Taco Factory puts Delano on the map. If there's a reason to go to Delano besides, Philippine Weekend, it is to eat at Taco Factory. This is a local's favorite that serves the best Mexican food in town. I suggest the mixed enchiladas and meat burritos. These two items are both under $2 each, so don't expect to pay too much. The Suoer nachos were amazing! The Chile Verde was spicy enough to make your ears tingle but not overwhelmingly hot! There's like 4 different cheeses which makes it a stringy, gooey, super good nacho. The portion is way too much for 1 person. This is definitely built to share which I did. Cheddar cheese shouldn't be in bean burritos (should be Monterey Jack), tacos should have cilantro and red onions (not lettuce, tomatoes and cheese), and no chicken available..?? The Hispanic girl that was taking my order inside was very RUDE even had the audacity to even roll her eyes at me and the manager was standing next to her and didn't pay attention to how she was acting! This used to be one of the hang-outs in the early/mid 80's for all the "coo" kids; I had not been here since then. Recently decided to stop while en route and am at a loss for words. The good: Great to see that they still support the community. I'm assuming the same family still owns it (which is great)! The one guy there was very accommodating and friendly. Food seems the same, but it's been so long. It's not authentic but that's not what this place is about. I do like bastardizations of any dishes here and there. The one large woman must hate her job, but I don't have to see her again so she can permanently scowl all she wants (hint: perm lines). I would order what they're known for which is anything with chili verde. Thought i would stray off the norm and try something different. Tried the regular ground beef taco hard to mess something up so easy and a staple to any mexican restaurant but this place did. The chili relleno dinner is bomb.com! This is by far my all time favorite place to get a chili relleno! The sauce I want to say is the same sauce that's on the chili verde burrito which is a good spicy green flavor. Taco factory doesn't have a restroom which is the only downside. I've had Mexican food all over the United States I felt like I was visiting my grandmother at an old folks home on Taco Tuesday. The salsa was slightly above ketchup even if you combine it with their canned Costco cheese sauce and mix in their fresh cut salsa it's difficult to swallow. We had heard about this place for years from some friend who are from Delano. I can live with (and even enjoy) the "fake" Mexican food other reviewers write about. But the customer service, damn! If you don't like people do not get into a job where you have to deal with the public. I used to eat here each time I would be on way to or from Fresno or other points North on the 99. But last time I was there, I was with a friend who requested a bean and cheese burrito with some lettuce added to the inside (WTF?). Anyhow, they refused this simple request, even though they have chopped lettuce in the kitchen for tacos. We put some lettuce from my tacos in my friend's burrito and I vowed to not come back. My family and I have been coming here for over 25 years. The tacos are great! They don't fall apart. We've ordered tacos to take home and even after being reheated in the microwave the tacos still don't fall apart. Occasionally, there is bad service when the owner's son is there. The half/half (rice & beans) are a hit & miss. They can either be really good, or come out hard and burnt. Overall, the food is good and the service is good. I love this place and every time I'm in Delano it's a must stop even if I just buy some of their chili verde to go. My favorite is the chili verde nachos with a chili relleno on the side. The super nachos (I think that's the name?) are huge they have nacho cheese and grated cheese which is great. I have never finished them they are so big, but it's a must order. I love the chili sauce they offer also. Don't let the ambiance discourage you here, it's a no frills place. I don't know if I would consider it authentic Mexican food but it is very good..the chili verde is my favorite over any place I've ever had it!!
