Three stars for the food, not this particular business. The service at this Taco John's is friendly and pretty quick, and the prices actually reasonable. But the menu isn't very imaginative, stealing heavily from other fast food chains in this genre, and the burritos we got were flavorless and unsatisfying. My friend recommended Taco John's to us, and I like trying new places. I liked the food here, the potatoes Ole are delicious coin shaped potato tots. I stacked mine with jalapeno slices. I made potato Ole stackers. LOL Roman was super helpful, offering us ideas and help for our very first visit. He was attentive, and really pleasant. He brought out my coffee a bit later, it was nice and hot. The restaurant was spotless. And there were only a few of us in there eating. I watched as they checked the food temperature, and cleaned up the prepping areas. And they were writing down a lot of information. It felt like they were on top of quality. I went in with the idea of taco John's being somewhere in between a Taco Bell and a taco time. It somehow felt even cheaper and low quality than that. The prices were more expensive than I was willing to pay, and the food itself seemed roughly, thrown together. I definitely wouldn't recommend wasting your time or money at establishment like this. read more

Taco John's is easily one of the best fast food taco chains in the entire United States... Unfortunately, they're almost exclusively in the Midwest, which means I rarely get to enjoy them. I first discovered them in Omaha on a cross-country road trip... ...And I've made 3 more cross-country road trips since and I make sure to stop at ANY Taco John's I can find along the way. I've never had a bad experience. This location in Twin Falls is no exception. If you don't know what to get, I recommend the Super Burrito... But no matter what you get, make sure you get some Potato Olès on the side! They're basically hash browns, deliciously seasoned. My favorite are the potato oles. I like the fry sauce (extra .60 each) for dipping, but my friends/family like the cheese sauce. With a large cup of sugar-free ice tea- and I'm set! Last 3Xs I've had cold (not even Luke warm) potatoes and I also ordered the chicken burrito (with the potatoes inside). I literally throw a potato in my mouth even before I drive away from Taco Johns. But even with seconds after I'm served, the food's still cold. What a shame. read more

If you're looking to get away from Taco Bell, come here. The restaurant is new (as of 2016) and the food is really, really good. Reminds me of Del Taco. The meat and potato burrito is very, very good. Their "ole's" (pronounced "Oh-Lay") are tater tots in the shape of a disc. But, these "tater tots" are salted, then cooked perfectly. OUTSTANDING! TJ's is a bit pricey. Four bucks for one meat and potato burrito. Which is bigger than a Taco Bell bean/.cheese burrito, but smaller than a Del Taco Macho Burrito. But, if paying two more dollars for a meal at TJ's to get away from Taco Bell food and the Taco Bell crowd is all I have to pay, then so be it. Bring on Taco John's. Since they've opened I've had TJ's many times. For me, it's comfort food. Reminds me of fast, unhealthy, fantastic tasting food of my youth. The five stars I gave TJ's is no mistake. Potato Óles. I don't even need to say more. But I will- the employees here are nice & have plenty of vegetarian recommendations. The cheese quesadillas are nicely toasted and the little, greasy, crunchy, impeccably seasoned óles are the perfect accompaniment. Wait times are reasonable, parking is adequate. read more

You should definitely eat here, if nothing else for the owner Dave and his understanding of customer service. A coworker and I went in to Taco Johns for lunch today. He had told me about the street taco trio and said I needed to try them. We both ordered the steak tacos but they seemed more like shredded beef. They were good, they just didn't seem like what we ordered. When I went up to the front counter to ask about the tacos, I was able to speak with the owner Dave who looked at my remaining taco and quickly said, "Let us make you some fresh ones!" He brought both my coworker and I THREE NEW tacos each. Its hard to find good customer service at fast food places these days but Dave knows his stuff. And the street tacos are excellent! I haven't actually eaten here. The food looks good but ordering at the drone through is always so difficult I leave. I took my two little boys and a breakfast burrito coupon for $1.99, limit 3. I figured or bill would be $6 plus tax and a drink. Nope! They would only let me use the coupon for one burrito and they crossed out the 3 and wrote "2". The coupon does say one per customer but I took that to mean one coupon per customer. read more

I came to Taco John's for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. Food was good, service awesome, and very friendly staff. The lobby was kept nice and the kitchen clean. Dont try to use TWO coupons! Denied! One coupon per person. Well..do i drive home and get the other person? I wasnt going to eat it all myself. Would give negative stars if allowed. The absolute worst slop I've ever eaten. Stale shells, filling that is wet, mushy and bland - tastes/feels like 90+% filler instead of meat. Do yourself a favor and drive down Pole Line to Blue Lakes and go to Jack in the Box for the 2 for 99 cent tacos - they easily 1,000 times better. read more

Well, it is what it is. Not so cheap nor high quality Mexican fast food. The fish tacos stand out as a clear positive. In my opinion the tacos are overpriced and the burritos leave a lot to be desired. The breakfast burritos however are quite good. They have a breakfast burrito card where on the 10th one purchased you earn a free one. read more

I must say my experience today at Taco John's was very good. The cashier was patient and friendly, the service was quick. While my Mom and I were getting our drinks the manager had our food waiting for us to sit down. What was most impressive was the manager asking each patron how everything was, you don't get that kind of service in many fast food places. read more
