So as a local I absolutely love their food the flavor is alway on point. But..... We came in and ordered the fajitas and I gotta tell you, don't, just don't. Theirs so many better options out there. Let me expound, they give 4 tortillas less than a spoon full of guacamole maybe a spoon full of sour cream and ZERO cheese. Our waitress was rude and completely messed up our drinks cause she wasn't even listening. I'm like ok no problem will just take them at 15.00 a drink. If you want WAY better service and food all the way around go to Janitizios. They have fajitas where the extra mile to drive is well worth it . We've been there so many times but because of the time they were closed. This is now a second time fail on el Caporal. Last time it was the lack of communication on their seafood. I've gotta say as a local I'm probably not gonna return to this establishment. Obviously the owners do not pay attention to where the mistakes need to be addressed. With so many options available in twin I'd say avoid this place and seek way better options. Sad to see a restaurant capable of doing better and actually offering the amount proportionate to the plate completely fail on every level. Food is delicious but they have poor customer service, on a non busy afternoon, we had to look for our server after 30 minutes of waiting to place our order. When food came our we had to ask our server for the essentials that we need when we dine in from napkins to ketchup for the kids fries. Bad service but excellent food. We were there today. We arrived at 7:30 we understand that was busy. Someone took our order and we waited over an hour. We kept seen people that arrived after us get their food. So we finally asked about our food and the waitress had to ask us to repeat our order to her. We decided to get up and leave. They couldn't even find our order. I wanted to like this place because of the reviews. This is a prime example of adjusting to your demographic. The dishes are "authentic" in name but not in flavor. Everything lacked seasoning. We had the chicken soup and the combination plate with a cheese enchilada, beef Tamale and a taco. The soup was edible after I added salt and pepper and some of the house salsa that was given with the chips at seating. The enchilada had way too much cheese and I didn't think that could be possible but the red sauce was flavorless and watery so all you tasted was cheese. The tamale had no spice to it at all, the masa was pale as if they only used Maseca and water. The best part was the shredded beef inside the taco and I still had to add salt to it. If you are used to REALLY authentic mexican food, this place will disappoint you. I guess that's what I get, being from Arizona trying Mexican food elsewhere! read more

Great service. Such pleasant and attentive waitstaff. The food is delicious and, although it's one of a zillion Mexican restaurants in the area, it's really one of a kind. Their seafood dishes are really good. I had the tuna tostada and, although its was nothing like what I was expecting (was cold/more like ceviche), it was absolutely delicious, and was a great option if you want to go on the lighter side. They have numerous other dishes that aren't available at their competition, including octopus and other seafood dishes, as well. Their salsa is very good, as is their bean dip. Well I normally take pictures of everyone's plates.... But I kinda got excited with my fajita salad bowl lol we have been here quite a few times and the service is always fast and on point. The waiters are always checking in on us and it's a very welcoming family restaurant. I love the vibes, the music they play while having your meal. It's definitely a place to try out. Being from Texas you don't really find good authentic Mexican places to eat here in Idaho. But I would definitely recommend this place and I'll be coming here again. read more

Then they charged the credit card $1000.00 more than the bill was. Incompetent staff and the food was not very good either. This is a disaster. If you're not Mexican don't waste your time you will be treated like shit. They made my mom move her truck and they do not have required handicap spaces. It was like 85 degrees inside and took forever to be greeted after we were seated. Once we finally got to order it took forever to get our food even though people who arrived after us were already eating and then it came out one plate at a time and was at least 10 minutes before the last plate was brought out after the first. Something wasn't right. Were they using left over food from days before? My burrito had a "pulverized mushy" mixture! It was like they ran everythingt through a meat grinder and stuffed the flour tortilla with it! Extremely BAD! In addition, if it had any of the meat they offered and that I specified/ordered, it must have been ground in as well because there wasn't any! VERY, VERY disappointed. I've eaten there a couple of times with friends. None of us came away very impressed. Sorry, if the truth hurts! Oh, and many of your staff just stand around and are oblivious to customers, new and existing! I would "highly" suggest that the owner take a look from the "outside in" and take some corrective actions to improve the food! Far from a local cuisine that should be recommended to others!
