This place was absolutely outstanding. From the cool atmosphere and the wall-to-wall big-screen TVs that let you catch every sporting event, to the incredible food, everything exceeded our expectations. The service was exceptional as well. Todd, the owner , stopped by our table several times just to make sure we had everything we needed. To me, that says a lot about a business--it shows genuine class and a commitment to taking care of its customers. Our server, Jane, was equally fantastic. She went above and beyond to make our visit enjoyable and truly embodied the warm Southern hospitality that, as a Northerner, I'm not accustomed to experiencing. Now for the food. My brother and I shared the roasted wings with two different sauces--the Habanero and the Spicy Asian. They were absolutely incredible and, without exaggeration, probably the best wings I've ever had. I also ordered the double cheeseburger with Gouda cheese, and it was unbelievably delicious. My brother had the cheesesteak, and he devoured every bite. He said it ranks right up there with any cheesesteak he's had in Philadelphia, and that's saying something. For a Monday it was a little crowded, however that may have been because of the World Cup. There's plenty of televisions to watch the games. They're also the official watch party location for the SPHL, Macon Mayhem hockey team! Let's go Mayhem, let's go! We sat at the bar. I did not want to wait for a table. I'm glad we did. The bartenders were amazing. They were friendly, outgoing, helpful and attentive. I'm torn between a 3 and 4 for rating because of food. Food was a bit lackluster. It tasted like any other bar food from any other chain restaurant. Nothing stood out. Cooked well? Yes. Executed well? Yes. Plated well? Yes. It was just overall underwhelming. During last year's roadtrip, going back to Wisconsin from Florida we discovered this gem while looking at options on Yelp. The food and drinks experience last year was so good that we knew we needed to return, especially for the Lavender Lemon Fizz cocktail. Last year we found it on the way back home, this year we searched for pictures of the drink we had to figure out the location and thankfully we were successful. We were greeted and seated really quick. Our server Natalie came over to greet us and get our drink order. We told her that we had been there last year and liked it so much that we returned. She said that's great, the owner is here and he's going to love talking to you. Natalie brought us our drinks and took our order, then the owner came over to greet us. He was great to meet and talk to. Throughout the visit Natalie and others had excellent customer service. As for the food and drinks. My friend and I ordered the lavender lemon fizz, that we've wanted to replicate at home, and the guys ordered beer. Later we ordered an orange tea shot just to see what it tasted like (refreshing). All of the food we ordered was delicious and prepared perfectly. We loved the crispy Brussel sprouts as much as we did last year. I ordered a bacon Gouda burger minus the bun and that was delicious. My husband ordered the wedge salad and it came out looking great and he said it was really good. He normally doesn't finish his food but he didn't let it go to waste. Our friends enjoyed their meals as well. Natalie brought us out a dessert to celebrate our return, once a year trip. Simply terrific wings, absolutely delicious homemade blue cheese, the '79' burger is an all-around win win if you're craving a burger, the train wreck nachos are a repeat order, and the service (Ella, this go around), is fantastic! Chicken tenders are crispy and juicy, the fried mushrooms are a wonderful appetizer, and the salmon with brussel sprouts is one healthy option! They also have their blue cheese wedge back, which is pretty much a meal in itself! We had dessert tonight as well, and the chocolate cake is a crowd pleaser right alongside of the benays (sp?), which is kind of like a donut, cinnamon french toast with powdered sugar delight! They have a boat load of tv's (inside and out), outdoor seating which is nice come the non 100 degree weather, with plenty of booths and tables (tables that can be moved for large parties). Came here on a big game day, so it was loud and rowdy with college kids, which isn't my preference. However, I was told that it was an unusual night to have my first taco Mac experience. The service was great despite the busy atmosphere. We ordered wings, Philly cheesesteaks, and shrimp tacos (can't go to taco Mac without getting tacos, right?). Shrimp tacos were good! Passing through Macon and stopped in for dinner. This restaurant reminds me of an Ale house but much cleaner and nicer. :-) Upon arrival our host was nice and sat us immediately. The server was amazing, she was very attentive and made sure we were taken care of. For starters we had queso and salsa, this came with both chips and tortilla- loved the flavor and extra shredded cheese on the top. For dinner we had southwest salad with grilled chicken, brisket burger, Philly cheese steak, Mac and cheese and tater tot's. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. The salad I do wish there were more toppings but overall, everything was tasty and fresh. read more

Zowie was an outstanding server! She had excellent customer service and great recommendations. The food was really fresh and tasted great. She even offered to go drinks, which is one of my favorite things for servers to do! We had lots of food left over and she was so quick to help us package it up and brought us everything that we needed. The wait was a bit long. The parking lot is also very small for the restaurant size. My parents and I arrived at 5:30 and had to wait 20-30 minutes. I got the fish 'n chips and really enjoyed it! The batter was crispy and not thickly coated on at all! Fries were okay. They were fries. My mom got the salmon and liked it a lot. Though the rice and brussel sprouts were room temp to cold ish at best. My dad got the wings. He was very happy with the amount of meat in the wings. However the sauce disappointed him. He tried the spicy garlic and the flavor was lacking. More spicy than anything. Very soft garlic taste. Also not saucy. More like if a sauce could be a dry rub. Might be better for someone other than him. The sweet potato fries were okay. Just sweet potato fries. The restaurant is sports bar, so it's a bit loud. Lots of tvs though which was always nice.
