We have been at this restaurant several times, dining in or take out. We tried the taco combos, which the fajita tacos were well filled and tender, easy to chew. However, the combo is a little pricey. The ambiance includes a little indoor playground to entertain the kids. The combos can be shared with another person if you purchase an additional drink and fideo or beans. They have great nachos with chicken. I don't recommend their margaritas, they taste good but like it didn't have any alcohol in it. I would recommend drinking a beer instead. It had been a while since I went to Taco Palenque. They have made some improvements and I'm really glad I went. They offer delicious authentic Mexican as well as Texican food: the street tacos are served on the traditional two small corn tortillas. They also have full sized tacos (which are well stacked), burritos, quesadillas, parrilladas, "breakfast tacos," enchiladas (entomatadas, mole, green red, suizas, you name it), tostadas, plates, and more. Place your order, fast food style, take your number and set it on your table (they'll bring your order to you), and as they prepare your meal you can get your drink, and some chips and salsa from the salsa bar. The chips are Mexican style tortilla chips, not the sad paper-thin American kind! The salsas include a molcajete style, fresh Pico de Gallo, red, green, jalapeños tornados, onions, and cabbage slaw garnish for your tacos. I got the 2 Matamoros taco meal with a side of fideo soup and a drink. The Matamoros tacos were made with two full sized corn tortillas, and stuffed so well I divided them up and made four nice sized tacos out of them adding some Pico de Gallo, salsa and garnishes from the wonderful salsa bar. They were generous with the meat and the avocado. It was wonderful. I would have enjoyed more balance between the avocado and the cheese. The fideo soup was also delicious, though I didn't see the lime, which would have added a lot. The dining room is nice (fast food type, and informal). There is an indoor children's play place. Parking is ample and well lit. Handicapped spaces are available. They have a self serve nice beverage station with a soda fountain, aguas frescas, freshly brewed iced tea, and more. They also offer coffee and bottled beer from the counter. I did not see the restrooms. What I did see was clean and well run. The food was served hot, freshly made, and in good time. The prices are competitive. I will definitely go again. I'd like to try the tacos al pastor. They offer pineapple on their tacos al pastor, which is a plus for me. Does anyone know if they use an actual vertical spit (trompo)? I did not see one. read more

Good food (for the price) as always but since they forgot my dessert and corn tortillas I am giving it a 2 out of 5 stars! I also didn't like that I ordered through the app , parked in the space, had multiple employees just look at me through the windows. I still had to go inside to pick up order. Which is fine but I think it's not best use if ordering online for curbside pick up. -Rick read more

Gotta love Taco P. Anytime I want tacos this is one of the few places my husband and I can ever agree on. Those Matamoros tacos are my fave. I like their flour tortillas. And I'm also glad they have caldos! We're not too crazy about the fideo though. We always order to go so I can't comment on how the inside looks. I have no idea what's going on in there. read more

Chicken Burrito Inconsistency I had the chicken burrito last week for the first time. It was great, it tasted fresh and the tortilla was crispy. I liked it so much that I went back the next day and was a little disappointed. The burrito had way too much lettuce that made the burrito cold. I went back 2 days later and ordered it without lettuce and it was much better. Today I went back at around 11am and ordered it again and it was terrible. The chicken was dry, tough and cold, tasted like leftovers from yesterday. The beans didn't taste fresh and neither did the rice. The tortillas was not warm and overall was a lousy lunch and a waste of money. I had four chicken burritos in a week and everyone was made differently. There is no consistency in how the burritos are made. Every cook has their own way of making them. It will be a long time before I go back. Again a very disappointing visit today. read more

5 stars all the way, or more!! Their food has always been great not matter where you go, but the customer service this location provides is on the top. I've been to several locations before and they do not treat you like this one does. Beyond professional. I would like to congratulate all their staff and to whoever is running this place. But i would like to give a special congratulations to the guy who help me out tonight (12/1 @2:20am ish) at the Drive-through. His services was polite, kind, attentive and very professional. They forgot to add guacamole on the panchitos order and I noticed when I got to work so I couldn't go back I had to find someone to bring my food for me all over again because they told me that's the only way I can get my order right. They managed to forget other things again too but the Manager was kind enough and offered a solution. read more

Awesome Taco P! I took my family to eat there mainly because it was a new place & they LOVED IT. We had a nice young man named Cliber that helped us out so much. He had such a wonderful attitude and manners. I don't think I've ever had such a nice waiter at any other Taco Palenque. Will definitely be going back! The food was real good too! read more
