The store has been around for about 30 years, its always been the Little Store and cafe and deli…read morethough owners have changed. They have self branded stuff like hoodie sweatshirts, coffee beans. Stopped here for lunch on the way from airport to hotel after reading some very positive reviews and I was not disappointed. Its a cute little store with very attentive staff and some special recipes. I got myself the Vegan burrito and the Matcha tea. The burrito had a soy churro, tofu, sweet potato, spinach and mustard sauce . It was very filling , and tasted so good that I was stuffing my myself even when my stomach was asking me to stop .... and then the cold Matcha tea- the tea was good but I needed it more sweetened . But, it made a good combination with my warm burrito. I was soo full, I skipped even supper.... I had to listen to my stomach sometime ! The curios on the wall are cute and tgey are for sale. Handmade by local artists, they make great souvenirs if only they had the one little word Kansas on them . One thing I found difficult, finding a cab at 3 pm. It took 20 min for the cab to arrive. Am not sure if it was the timing or the location. Best to go there in your own vehicle. Would love to come again if I am in the city.

I'm happy to report that The Little Store on Knox is THAT GIRL. Cozy atmosphere, tucked into the cutest neighborhood in the Northland, house made syrups, friendly service, patio seating, and excellent specialty drinks. Please go give them some love if you're looking for a way to support local business owners in KC. And I'd encourage you to do your research on those who used to be considered locally owned, that reality has changed pretty drastically in KC in recent years.

Found Chef Tito's from recommendations on a local northland eateries page and looked forward to…read moretrying it, but unfortunately the mark was missed for me. Arriving on a taco Tuesday at 6pm to an empty restaurant probably should have been my first clue, but at this point still hoping I was in on something good and everyone else was just missing out (very wrong). First, $5 for chips and salsa - not always fun to pay for chips and salsa when most places don't charge, but I understand it. However, chips were on the stale side and the salsa, while flavorful, was very mild and way over salted. We couldn't enjoy much of it. I asked the server about taco Tuesday specials featured directly on their website, had to ask the question a couple different times before she landed on telling me they got a new pay system and since the deal wasn't in the system, she couldn't honor the deal. She also seemed confused, so I didn't push further. Ordered waters (never received them), house margaritas (not too sweet, generous, and strong - pretty great marg!) and street tacos (chicken, pastor, asada - all incredible dry and under seasoned, didn't taste like they had marinated in anything, I was genuinely baffled by this). My tacos came out a full 10 minutes before my friend's tacos (same exact taco order - and I'll remind you we're still the only people in the restaurant...). We then watched our server get a little upset with the cook while pointing to our table, so there were some interesting, public communication issues among the staff. Finally, when the time came to pay, they presented their tap system, where the server was walked me through my items and processed it, quickly selecting the tip amount on my behalf me and finalizing it before I could say anything. I asked her about the tip, she pointed to show me how much it was, and I shared that I understand that but she selected it for me. She laughed, said thanks, walked away. I wasn't planning to return based on the food, but the forced tip amount at the end of a pretty bad dinner experience was what really changed the tone of my review. I love local Mexican spots and I hope they read this and make some changes to their service. NKC is growing and I'd hate for them to fall flat among the other competitors doing a little more for their customers.

And chef Tito personally comes around and talks to customers ensuring they are satisfied with their meals. I enjoyed getting to know him and learning his story. Last the food, wow the food is truly authentic and absolutely delicious. My best friend is from Colombia so we enjoyed his creations and it brought her some sense of home
