    The Taco Truck
    Joseph F.

First time trying this place. It is outside of Tuttletown Distillery in Gardiner. I ordered the Carne Asada Tacos. $13. They were fresh and a lot of meat. I got them to go I just wish they would have included a fork because there was so much filling, they were not going to stay in the taco. They could have used a little more salt ( not complaining, usually these type of taco stands are too salty) and they needed to offer a choice of different heat level sauces. They gave me a green salsa verde that, while tasty, had no heat whatsoever. The people on the truck were friendly and quick. The place inside the truck look very clean. Next time I go (which I will) I'm going to ask for hot sauce before I leave...and maybe a little salt on the side-in case.

3 meals but only willing to provide 1 to go box.

Food was good. Weather got hot. Went to take food to go and they wanted to charge me $2 for to go containers. We ordered $56 worth of food. Will not return.

TS had the the breakfast sandwich (3 scrambled with ham and cheddar on sourdough). Unlike the previous time when I wrote that the CBH was "like a warm hug", this time it didn't knock my socks off. It was heavier on the mashed potatoes which were also somewhat dry. Good, not great, for me. In contrast, TS's sandwich was one of the best he ever had. Good service, decent prices, interesting options Overall, 4.5 stars.

I went with the Homemade Corned Beef Hash, topped with two eggs and served with toast. Rich and savory, it paired especially well with a side of sautéed mushrooms, whose earthy flavor brought a nice balance to the richness of the hash. I also ordered a cup of their fresh broccoli cheddar soup because, well, why not have soup with breakfast? It was delicious and absolutely worth the detour. My breakfast companion went with the Mio Breakfast, two eggs, bacon, potatoes, salad greens and toast. Classic breakfast comfort food done right. We washed it all down with a refreshing iced caramel latte. The staff were super nice, and I was genuinely surprised by how quickly our food came out. It arrived in record time without making us feel rushed. We really enjoyed our meal. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly service and satisfying food. Café Mío definitely earned a return visit, and I'm already looking forward to coming back.

I worked at Bubakoo's Burritos in New Paltz and unfortunately had a negative experience that I…read morebelieve was primarily related to management rather than my coworkers. The coworkers I worked with were generally very kind and welcoming, and I appreciated working alongside them. My main concern was the lack of communication and consistency from management. I was taken off the schedule and was never given an explanation as to why I was no longer being scheduled or whether I had been terminated. I also experienced interactions with a manager that I found unprofessional. On one occasion, after I made a mistake, the manager asked me if I needed glasses. On another occasion, I was told by coworkers that the manager had complained about me being slow in front of other staff. I believe performance concerns should be communicated directly and constructively to an employee rather than discussed in front of coworkers. I also never had the opportunity to fully complete my training because I was receiving insufficient and irregular hours. This was particularly confusing because I heard other staff members discuss the need for additional workers. If an employee is expected to complete training and become proficient in the position, there needs to be a reasonably consistent opportunity to work and receive that training. Another experience that concerned me occurred when a homeless woman was at the restaurant and management contacted the police. The interaction resulted in the woman crying. I cannot speak to everything that occurred before or after the incident, but witnessing the situation was uncomfortable and left a negative impression on me. Overall, I want to emphasize that my concerns are with management and communication, not the employees I worked with. The coworkers were kind, and I appreciated them. However, the lack of communication regarding my employment, inconsistent scheduling and training opportunities, and some of the interactions I experienced with management made the workplace difficult to navigate. I hope the franchise considers these concerns seriously and looks at how employees are communicated with and treated.

I live in the area and this is the 1st place I'll take visiting family and friends to for an amazing local bbq place! We first tried to stop in one evening at 8:21 PM, only to be told the kitchen was already closed even though the restaurant didn't close until 9. Not exactly the welcome we were hoping for, but no big deal. We found somewhere else to eat and moved on. On our way home, we decided to give it another try, and I'm glad we did. We split the brisket sandwich, which was piled high with incredibly moist, tender and flavorful brisket on what appeared to be fresh ciabatta. No barbecue sauce, no coleslaw, no distractions. Just straight up brisket flavor, which gets two thumbs up from me. The sandwich came with two sides, so we chose the baked beans and pasta salad. Both were absolutely delicious and paired perfectly with the brisket. We washed it all down with an ice cold bottle of A&W Root Beer, the perfect summer pairing for a barbecue meal. The restaurant sits just off a relatively busy road, but the outdoor seating is tucked beside a beautiful pond. That gave me the opportunity to do a little birdwatching while enjoying lunch, which is always a bonus in my book. Best of all, the entire meal was about $20 for two people. The chef may not be the friendliest person, but fortunately he can cook, and I'm perfectly happy letting the food do the talking. I'd definitely go back and try some of their other dishes. Sometimes giving a place a second chance pays off.

I was devastated; it was my birthday. I had been sick for over a week and was really looking forward to some good food. They suggested we come to the bar, which we did, and ordered our large and obnoxious take out from the bar. The food was wonderful. The people were professional and kind. Absolutely the best spätzle and mashed potatoes. The pork shank and the pot roast were warm and fall off the bone tender and dripping in a wonderful gravy. The Beet and goat cheese salad was fresh and not soggy. Everything was above par all this from a cardboard box after a 30-minute drive. ALERT: NO MORE $3 MARTINIS!!!!!!…read more So I definitely was one of the people who let the cat out of the bag on this one! I hate gate keeping and I know myself, my husband, and many of my friends supported this place. I mean seriously $3 martini night was something that made this place a gem but without it I honestly don't see us coming back! This place truly has sooooo much potential. I wish I could help them with some ideas to really make this restaurant the spot to be. I can tell you now though charging $19 for a martini is not it!! Also I tried their new banana bread martini and it wasn't great. Which makes it worst that it's so much more money. I mean I am truly a nobody but I have a list of ideas for them if they ever want to know because this place truly has great bones. Here's one for free. On one of your lowest sale nights I'm assuming Thursday because that's when you had your $3 special, why not offer girl dinner? A $25 special that includes two basic flavored martinis and French fries. For $30 include two Caesar or house salads. I gaurantee people with order that. And you can't tell me you are getting hit too hard for food cost for salad and fries? But also you gotta change your decor up a bit. Look at the surrounding restaurants that are charging that much for a martini and the vibe of the place. If I'm going to spend bougie money I want to feel like I'm in a bougie spot!
