I'm really sad this Tacology location shut down. It feels like a revolving door for businesses in Wynwood these days, I hope the City could do something soon to help keep great restaurants like this in business for longer. Until then, I hope the owners consider a location in Doral or even further south like Cutler Bay or Homestead. Ambiance was clean and fun. Definitely a good happy hour spot. Service was on point. The quality and taste of the food was fresh and exploding with flavor. The Taos are pretty much à la cart and fairly priced for the size, ingredients and taste. The drinks were also really really delicious. Although I only made it out to this spot one time, it was really memorable and I hope to see a new location open up really soon. read more

Came to Tacology for a work happy hour and had such a great experience. We accidentally booked our reservation at the wrong location, but they were super accommodating and worked with us, which we really appreciated. The food was amazing. The nachos were delicious and I was obsessed with the carne asada tacos. I do wish they came with more than one, but they were so good we just kept ordering more. Overall, a perfect spot for tacos and tequila with great vibes and friendly service. I would definitely come back. read more

I like the atmosphere of the restaurant...it has its own unique look. The bartenders were friendly but not well-versed in my specific questions about a particular product. The mushroom tacos were "okay," and I heard the lobster taco was the same if I make it back to this place, I would definitely like to explore the menu some more. read more

Walked by this place several times and finally the misses said/ let's grab a margarita and some bites. The place looks cool, I wanted to be cool. Here is what we liked: * The vibe was hip and cool, lived the decor inside. The music and beat was fun. * The drinks looked amazing in the pictures. * The food in the pictures looked good. Here's what could of been better: * The drinks looked great but were just not good. Had a watermelon margarita that tasted like a weak watermelon flavor at best. And the berry margarita was just meh. * The place is hip and cool, you can order your food from an iPad at your table. So many problems with this. One tablet, I'll sit here and do nothing while you peruse the menu. Tried sharing but to hard as one reads quicker, the other one wants to click on all the pictures. The whole process of ordering just was a smooth process. * Mexican restaurant with no ships and salsa? Not asking for free, would gladly have paid. Not an option. * Ordered a cheese appetizer that came with a good amount of cheese, and 4 of the smallest baby tortillas. Overall $65 for two low-tier margaritas and a sub par appetizer. This place has great food and friendly service, but I would avoid this place if it is busy. The queso fundido, Mexican nachos, steak Quesadilla, carne asada taco, and steak burrito were all very good. The chicken soup was good, but it needed stronger flavor. The real problem was how long some of the food took to get to the table. Two of the five of us were waiting even after the others had been finished for 10 minutes. The wait staff worked very hard, but they were busing tables at times and so it was tough to get their attention and then they are serving food with the same hands. This place has 4-5 star food, friendly staff but maybe overworked so a lower rating. read more

Tacology in Wynwood is exactly the kind of taco spot I'm always hoping to find. The ambiance was warm, welcoming and nice to the food we were going to eat. High-quality ingredients, bold flavors, and enough variety to keep every bite interesting. We ordered a mix of tacos, including the al pastor, carnitas, and their signature wagyu taco, and each one stood on its own. What really tied everything together was the selection of salsas. Each salsa brought something different to the table and complemented the tacos without overpowering them. For drinks, the El Chapulín and Burrito Sabanero were both refreshing and well-balanced, perfect pairings for the food. We wrapped things up with cinnamon sugar churros served with cajeta, a rich goat's milk caramel that made dessert feel extra special. I love the presentation of the food. The food was okay not too remarkable, I think the tacos are a bit over priced but it comes with the location. The place is very cute and has potential and a lot of space if you wanted to do an event here. When I went, I got sat down ordered my food through the app but they took forever. A second couple came and they received the order before me, I was confused. We finally got our food and 20 mins later almost finishing my food I had to remind them of my food :-( To finally end it I did order a soup I did not take a picture of but it was absolutely terrible with way more veggies than actual chicken and the soup is tiny so it was mainly veggie soup which is ok but not was described. Came in very last min. And the whole crew was still super friendly. Me and a friend just wanted a bite before continuing our Sunday festivities. We ordered a few tacos the nachos and the margaritas. We got the margaritas with mezcal they were really good and huge !! Loved the fun classic margarita glass they don't come like that in many places. The nachos were amazing especially after a few drinks. The tacos were pretty decent portions. But honestly the 5 stars is for how friendly the staff is. You can throw a rock in wynwood and hit a taco place , a great staff is a way to stand out on the crowd. read more

I really wanted to like this place but there were a few negatives that make it hard to give them more than 3 stars but I just realized that they opened recently and are probably still training the staff and kitchen so I've edited my rating to give them 4 stars. The hostesses were very friendly. The one who took us to our table offered to seat us in the patio which was lovely until the wind makes the plastic overhead covering flap loudly. They really should use cloth fabric instead where it's pulled tautly. It's a very pretty restaurant with a large amount of tables and is beautifully decorated but every now and then, the loud sound of the plastic flapping was alarming. The hostess told us that their margaritas were very good so of course I had to have one. Mateo was our server and he said that he wanted us to have a good experience and enjoy the food so he thought we should know that the food comes out very fast. If we wanted to have appetizers first, he would take that order right away. We went ahead and ordered the Trio Ceviche and a spicy Watermelon Margarita to start. My friend didn't like spicy so Mateo said for the ceviche, he would put the spicy on the side. I suppose that's why he dropped off four salsas without any chips. I'm not sure if that's the reason. When my margarita arrived, I tasted it and realized it wasn't spicy just as Mateo came to take it away. He said he knew the bartender had messed up and I thought that was really good service that he recognized the error so quickly. However, shortly after that, my Birria Taco and Mushroom Taco arrived before the Ceviche which I had intended to eat as a starter. Shortly there after, the ceviche arrived as well as the Steak Fajitas my friend ordered. Now our table was totally full of plates and we didn't get to enjoy our ceviche first. I was worried my tacos would get cold so I ate both of them before digging into the ceviche. The tacos were absolutely delicious and the size was just right. The Birria Taco made with Short Ribs was juicy and flavorful. The Mushroom Taco had the perfect amount of seasoning and truffle oil. I loved the tacos! There was a good amount of fish in the Trio Ceviche but only two tortillas were served with the dish. I asked Mateo for Chips and I later saw on the bill, they were $1. That's fine as I needed a vehicle to eat the rest of my ceviche and I wanted to dig into the salsas. All the salsas were very good as were the ceviches. I liked the tuna and white fish one and my friend liked the shrimp one. I really wanted to try the Guacamole since they had a Guac Bar but my friend said we had ordered too much to add guac. Maybe next time I'll give it a try. As friendly as Mateo was, he was not very attentive or efficient. My friend asked for ice for her glass of water and someone returned with a glass of just ice. Her water glass was taken away. We then had to ask for water to be placed in the glass of ice. When we were ready for the check, Mateo was no where to be found. The software for the digital menu was cumbersome and not that easy to use. There was an arrow to move to the next page even when there wasn't an additional page to look at. I wish our visit had been more pleasant. Considering how good the food was, I would go back for those two tacos and the margarita. read more

Tacology manages to charge premium prices for tacos that somehow taste like nothing. Not bad--just aggressively bland. It's actually impressive how little flavor made it onto the plate. The tacos are wildly overpriced for their size and quality, and none of them stood out in any meaningful way. The cauliflower taco was a low point: it looked like mush, tasted like nothing, and felt like it existed purely to check a "vegetarian option" box. Service was unorganized and chaotic. The tablets on the tables take up valuable real estate and, instead of making things easier, actively created confusion. Our server took our drink order, food started arriving almost immediately, so we ordered another drink--only for four cans to show up with no explanation. It's also very clear who this place is for: tourists who don't care that they're being overcharged for mediocre food as long as the space looks cool and the location is convenient. For anyone who actually cares about flavor, value, or a smooth dining experience, this isn't it. By the end of the meal, I genuinely couldn't point to a single thing that was great--or even memorable. Wynwood is packed with better food. This place just isn't one of them read more

I so wanted to like this restaurant. From the moment we sat down it was an odd experience with iPad ordering and a waitress. My dinner companion's food arrived within minutes and then their drink. My drink arrived 15 minutes later. When my food finally arrived it was burned and just not good. The waitress was sweet and said she would tell the manager. No one offered to remake my meal. The bill was wrong and we asked for the food to be removed. Again the waitress went to the manager. The new bill arrived but the cost of the food comped was different than the menu. Again no one came over to speak to us. Bad service bad food. Touristy so they really don't care. read more

Tortillas are basically made out of Play-Doh and will stick to your teeth, inedible how they serve the tortillas when they are using thin pink papers to serve it, it causes the paper to stick to the tortillas and change the color of them... gross. They dress code heavily for such an underwhelming restaurant. The fajitas taste like fake food and they use a weird hibachi sauce for it which does not complement at all with the vegetables which were undercooked... chips and guac were $14.00 and the chips were stale for that price that is kind of embarrassing. read more
