I was really disappointed with my experience here. I came in expecting authentic Mexican food, but the quality just didn't live up to the hype. The tacos were bland and lacked seasoning, and the meat was dry like it had been sitting out for a while. The service didn't help either. It took a long time just to get our drinks, and our server seemed uninterested the entire time. We had to ask multiple times for basic things like napkins and sauces. On top of that, the restaurant didn't feel very clean. The tables were sticky, and the overall atmosphere just felt neglected. For the prices they charge, I expected much better. Unfortunately, I wouldn't come back or recommend this place, and to top it off we just received a $75 charge for parking when we parked in the back parking lot of the restaurant. There's a hidden sign with no light asking to pay for parking which we did not see so on top of paying the extra $75 for parking a high service fee for under the bare minimum of this place is ridiculous and we won't be coming back. read more

Place was hot as hell and all the fans were pointing away from the tables. If you want AC don't come here. Food was mediocre at best. I got a protein bowl and the asada was pretty flavorless. The bowl was also pretty watery at the bottom making it kinda soggy. My server left during my meal and didn't even ring up some of my food, nor did she tell me she was leaving and that a new server would take care of me. The new server Chrystian was way worse. He walked around seemingly clueless to the empty water glass at my table and just left all the done and dirty dishes sitting there. Couldn't be bothered to bus, ask if I needed more water, offer desert--nothing. Maybe he is new to the service industry, but my god. I had to go up to the bar and explain that the girl that was serving me just left without saying anything and that I was still waiting for an order of tortillas for over 10 min. They got me the tortillas pretty quickly, but honestly was surprised to see them on the bill, since I had already been waiting a while. Then I looked at the bill at it says SERVICE CHARGE 20%! I was a server for many years and always leave 20% or more, but today I felt like my money was robbed. I wouldn't have left the whole 20% today--for what!? Then the payment module has the nerve to ask for more too after that. WTF. So I say to Chrystian... *The tip is included correct?" And he says, "Well that tip is for all of us, and whatever extra is mine." Ok, so he expected more tip for slothing around. Please. NO TIP. I overpaid here for food, ambiance, and absolutely overlaid for service. Super disappointed because the one on Biscayne Boulevard (now closed) was so good and had awesome service, with AC. We stopped by for drinks and a light bite, but unfortunately, this place didn't meet expectations. The service started off well and they took our order promptly, and since it was freezing inside, we moved outside to eat. It wasn't noisy you're able to have a conversation in there. We ordered two passion fruit mezcal cocktails, a steak burrito, and a steak quesadilla. The food was disappointing. The quesadilla was tiny, made with a small taco-sized tortilla, and it came with no lettuce or sour cream. The burrito wasn't much better. The portion was small and didn't justify the price at all. When it came time to pay, we paid in cash, but the server said he couldn't give us our exact change because the register was locked and he didn't have access. if i could give a place 0 stars, it would be this place. The restaurant was severely undermanned and the food is subpar-- not worth the money. Although the hostess tried her best to accommodate the hour and half wait it for our food and drinks to come, and tried her best efforts to bring this to the managers attention given that he was offsite-- the manager then stated that if it's a wait, then we'd have to wait; not to mention a new cook was training which caused more delays. I find this very unethical, given that his staff reached out for help and his response was very dismissive. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your money here. read more

However, this experience was different enough that I felt it needed to be addressed. This is one of my favorite taco spots, and I visit every Tuesday. On June 2, 2026, I arrived around 6:37 PM and sat down. While I was there, a woman who appeared to be a manager and was also helping prepare food was very attentive to a Spanish-speaking group seated right next to me. She went to their table multiple times--at least five times--to make sure they were satisfied, yet I was never approached or acknowledged, while she keeps staring at me & not say nothing to me , that really bothered me in ways I can't explain  At approximately 6:52 PM, a young lady finally came over to assist me, but she did not speak or understand English. I then had to wait until about 7:00 PM for bartender Adrian Alejandro to help me. Despite the disappointing experience up to that point, Adrian completely changed the situation. He was extremely apologetic, attentive, and professional. He went above and beyond to make sure the rest of my visit went smoothly and turned what had been a frustrating experience into a much better one. I hope this feedback is taken constructively because I genuinely enjoy coming here and would like to continue supporting this restaurant. Gentrification is getting deeper and deeper into Little River and the restaurant industry is leading on that front, which I appreciate being a foodie myself. La Santa Taqueria has kind of two places at one location here, the taqueria and the mezcaleria next door. While I had had tacos from another Santa Taqueria location and I knew they were good, the mezcaleria was the main driver for me here and reason why I drove over from downtown, not only for the tacos but the mezcal as well. This time, we were a party of three and started with the guac, then had nachos and elotes and finally finished up with asada and al pastor tacos. My favorite were the elotes, so buttery, tangy and with some spiciness to it. I would come back for them at any time. The nachos were pretty good too, a lot of flavors, overall a nice job. While the guac was just alright on flavor (missing some acidity and spiciness), the chips were the icing on the cake, so crunchy, love them. What I really didn't like were the tacos. I would rate them as 3 stars tacos. I gotta say they had a lot, like a lot of meat, but fell short on the seasoning. The al pastor ones were pretty bland and the carne asada, the meat tasted like boiled and barely seasoned. I really appreciated all the meat but I kept looking for flavors and didn't find them. If they were seasoned better, those tacos would be the winner. Lastly, we had mezcalitas and spicy margaritas from La Yolanda Mezcaleria(sister bar next door) and they were delicious. We've always loved coming here -- the food is genuinely delicious and easily some of our favorite tacos in Miami. We hadn't been back in about a year and were really excited to return. Unfortunately, the experience this time was incredibly disappointing. The service was disorganized and inattentive from start to finish. Our order was delivered to the wrong table, and there was no apology -- just a casual ask if we wanted to wait for it to be remade. We chose to wait, but during that time no one checked on us, refilled our drinks, or made any effort to acknowledge the delay. We also had to ask three separate times for more chips for our guacamole -- which, again, was initially brought to the wrong table. When it came time to pay, we had to wave through the window just to get someone's attention, and even then, our server took her time finishing her drink before coming over. The check arrived with automatic gratuity already included. When I asked about it -- specifically whether gratuity was based on accurate service and a correct order -- I was met with a dismissive attitude and a simple "yes." It's really disappointing, because the food is still great. But the level of service we experienced makes it hard to justify coming back anytime soon. read more

Was really craving a good Baja fish taco and this placed served me one of the best tacos* I've ever had. I ordered an elote, carnitas taco, asada taco, birria taco and an order of Baja fish tacos and a spicy margarita Everything knocked it out of the park! Not only was the space so cute! The carnitas are amazing! La mejor carnita que he probado! Las tortillas were to die for! The birria was so well seasoned. Only thing I would've preferred was to have the steak chopped smaller. Strange to see negative reviews here since I just had an amazing albeit quick lunch here...the tacos were absolutely stuffed with meat and the proteins were grilled to perfection with a nice amount of char on a tasty double corn tortilla. I had the Al Pastor, Carne Asada and cheese, and the Campechano. I'm pretty snobby about my tacos and found these to be amongst the best I've had in Miami and comparable to some in CDMX. The only thing that turned me off was $4.50 for a can of Coke Zero which is just too much. Will be back for more tacos! read more

Service wasn't bad, we did have a slight misunderstanding at first with seating but they were able to overcome. I started with a Hibiscus Paloma and my boyfriend ordered a Cielito Lindo. Both drinks were good. For tacos we ordered the Al Pastor Tacos, these are my boysfriend's favorite Al Pastor tacos in all Miami. I ordered the Hongos tacos which are delicious! Each taco order includes two tacos and they add double tortillas per each taco. For dessert, we had to order the churros, it's a must here! So good! read more

Came here for a last minute work dinner and the La Santa team did a wonderful job accommodating for our large group. They set up private section for us on their outdoor patio and had dedicated servers helping out our tables. We were served a variety of tacos including chicken, carne asada, mushroom, and al pastor. I was so stuffed by the time the mushroom tacos came around that I didn't get to try them. My favorite ended up being the al pastor with the pineapple. They also gave us really large individual portions of guac. The chip to guac ratio was a little off and I ended up having a bunch of guac left over, but better that than the other. The guac could've used a little bit of salt or a twist of lime, but I really liked that is was actually avocado and not just filled with tomato and onions to make it seem fuller. Our group was being served margaritas, beer, and wine. I ended up going with the white wine, it was a little hectic so the server wasn't able to tell me what it was, but it was a good accompaniment to the tacos. Would eat here again if I were in Miami and the opportunity presented itself. read more

La Santa Taqueria is one of my favorite restaurants to visit for Taco Tuesday. Their food is always on point, their drinks are great and we love that next door they have a mezcal "speakeasy." The decor is very fun and the vibe is always right. They have indoor and outdoor seating. On taco Tuesday, you get 3 tacos per order for the price of 2 and they also have a really good happy hour, which ends at 7pm. One thing that irks me about this place, is that you can no longer order over the phone. You can only order pick up in the app. I'm old school when it comes to that. The service has been hit or miss for me, sometimes I have had to flag people down to get things I've already asked for. But other than that, they are pretty friendly, which to me matters more than providing super quick service. I usually order their carnitas tacos, they're too good to not order them every time. I wanted to try the Citadel nearby but they were closed already so we settled for this place. Since it was Tuesday all the Tacos on the left side of the Menu are 3 for 2. I ordered the Horchata (inconsistent chunks in there), the Elote (soggy boiled corn), and the Al Pastor Taco (flavorless meat like it wasn't even marinated let alone cooked on a Trompo for hours). I have to start by saying that Taco Tuesday's is where it's at! And sorry, no, there's cheap 50 cent tacos here but you do get three instead of two. Who wouldn't want 50% more taco for the money, right? The menu is pretty extensive, going beyond the basics with options like tongue (lengua) and tripe (de tripa) just to name a few. My taco of choice was the De Birra alongside a No Tan Santa, their version of a Moscow Mule, copper cup 'n all. The De Birra was good, served with the Birra broth and hot sauce on the side, it paired very well with the ginger beer in my No Tan Santa. The outdoor seating is very nice, with plenty of space between the tables, making it a good Covid friendly dining experience. Normal pricing here is a bit steep for my taste but the Tuesday special makes it a fair deal in my opinion, totally worth checking out read more

I've been wanting to come here since they opened. It was Sunday Sunday and it was around 2 o'clock and jammed packed full of people joyously celebrating eating together without masks. We ordered the de birrias Which if you have not experienced them it's about time you do authentic Mexican cuisine. The wall with sacred heart is absolutely fabulous I would buy it right off of them if I could. The wallpaper in the bathroom with those pink cactuses is divine. The plating is exceptionally fun and absolutely Mexican and it's festive coloring and tin spoons. We didn't drink any tequila or Mezcal but apparently this place is all about them libations. And they certainly have their own signature drinks--the deep blue hue with an agave leaf what a great idea. Our waiter was a bit slow bringing our tortilla chips and salsa but apparently they make them on the spot (he told us 30 minutes into waiting) and although I saw that other people were served this quick to prep app rather fast I'm not sure what happened there. 7 of us came here for our friend's bday. We made reservation @ 6pm on a Thursday. We sat outside even though it was pouring that evening. The outside patio was covered. It's quaint place with colorful interior colors. The staff was super friendly & accommodating. Our waitress was wonderful. We brought a cake for our friend's bday which they kept it in the fridge for us. all of us ordered variety of tacos. Tacos were pretty filling even though they come in twos. They were pretty good 2 of us who were ladies got the Thursday Ladies night margarita price. (Thursday also is mariachi night) Margaritas were refreshing. I got to try the spicy margarita. Loved it! Food and service was fine. It seemed the female bartender who was serving me was jealous one of the male servers was speaking to me. She was cold and had her back towards me most of the time. She gave me that "Gen Z" stare when interacting with me...like here take your drink and go away. It got worse when another male bartender came in and was friendly with me too. I went to the bathroom and when I came back the vibe went south. Everyone had an attitude! I wouldn't recommend if you like to chat up the bartenders. Or even if you don't and are with a group. Food- Good tacos but over priced, welcome to Miami Service- Terrible. Had to call server several times to get drinks and food. Business- Terrible. As many have already mentioned they have a practice to get customers to double tip. The technic is to verbally tell you what your bill total is and then hand you the pay device with the screen changed to the tip screen. You add the tip because you are a good person and never see the bill unless you text or email yourself a copy. This happened to me tonight but luckily I sent myself a copy as I was curious how much my drinks were. Surprise double tip! I told the manager which she had the server return the double tip. Never an apology from anyone. It was all part of there normal business practice. Steal extra tips and simply return those smart enough to look at their bill.
