Going to start by saying I'm sooo sad to be giving this place a 3 stars, but after my last 3 visits, I can't give it more. I've come here quite a few times and often recommend it when meeting friends or colleagues, and for a while, it never failed me. Three visits ago, we had a larger group and noticed an extra item was added to the bill. 2 visits ago, while I should've learned my lesson to check the bill before paying, we had ANOTHER extra item added to the bill. While I do take accountability for not checking, our groups were large, so there wasn't much flexibility in doing that in the moment. While we were frustrated it happened twice in a row, our most recent visit really left a bad taste in my mouth. After paying the bill, we were asked by management to leave as it was a Saturday night, and they needed to seat others. If we were made aware that we would be on a time crunch BEFORE we were seated, I could've made a conscious to either stick around knowing I would get ushered out, or I would have chosen a completely different spot. As paying customers who are tipping for a nice service, it's really sad to see how customers are actually treated. I've been to this wine bar in a different city and honestly wished this location was better. Ironically, the paella is the last thing I would order from the menu. I've tried all of them and would not recommend any of them. Service is always pleasant, but I would like to see a more varied menu. One of their best tapas is the croquetas, hands down. Came here with a group of 8. They won't seat you without your full group so I went by the bar to wait. The bartender with the really short haircut was extremely rude. When we got our table inside, the music was way too loud so then we went outside and the music was still too loud. Our waiter was really nice and the scenery is nice. Out of the 7 dishes I tried, I only thought 2 were okay, didn't like the others. Personally this isn't a place I'll go back to, their flavors aren't for me. Most of the people of the table thought the food was just okay too. TMI but my tummy didn't take the food well either. Just being honest. But when we ordered, all the food showed up on time which was nice. Started off with gin and tonic which was perfect. I personally didn't like the ham croquette. It was salty for me. But others enjoyed it. The steak was okay. It was kind of overdone but no seared right at the same time. Like it was broiled? Maybe it's supposed to be that way. The shrimp was okay. Beautiful surprise in the heart of Wynwood. The restaurant is a chain, and you'd never know. Providing an intimate yet busy and lively environment, but may have just been because of art week. The hostesses and waiters were extremely helpful from getting our group a table as fast as they could, down to dessert recommendations and answering wine questions from our group. Highly suggest taking the classic "tapas" style of Spanish eating, I'm sure everything on the menu will deliver. Their outdoor dining courtyard is stunning and even in the summer time it felt comfortable. Standouts to me were the croquetas, pulpo, albondigas, and tortilla, and I found the scallops and chicken thigh to be a bit underwhelming. It has the rustic feel and of course jamón ibérico and all the wine and cheese you can dream of. The menu changes seasonally but they like over 20 options today. We came here on a rainy Sunday afternoon. The restaurant had plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. We opted for sitting at the bar and the bartender was super friendly and he did give us good recommendations for tapas and drinks. We were pleasantly surprised to find out that they do half off all wine bottles on Sunday, and we went with a sparking. We ordered some great dishes. The Heirloom tomatoes, the focaccia bread (stellar choice) and the delice de Bourgogne (a must try if you like creamy buttery cheeses), the mussels (great sauce), the salmon a la plancha (nicely cooked, honestly my favorite dish of the night) and a half portion Paella Mariscos.
