I also come by on Thursdays for their meat taco specials, which I believe are now $3.71 after the price increase. Parking is easy since they share a large parking lot with SuperKing and Panda Express. I'll definitely keep coming back whenever a taco craving hits.

I ordered the two fish taco combination plate ($10.99) which consisted of two of their signature fish tacos, rice, beans, and a small drink. Their signature fish taco was good, a fried piece of fish between two street taco tortillas, lettuce, salsa, and sour cream. The taco was a good rush of flavor with a little tang, but was somewhat soggy and flimsy. The rice was fair, and the refried beans a terrible, gelatinous mess that left behind pool of tepid bean water after each spoonful. The interior is colorful, but busy. It is not overtly dirty, but certainly far from the cleanest establishment I've been to. A condiment bar with peppers, onions, and lemons sat to the side, which I was reluctant to approach. The staff was friendly, however, guided me through the menu, and made a good recommendation. The turnaround time was very quite quick as well, perhaps 3-4 minutes. The value ($12 after tax) I thought was fairly middling for food of fair quality. I could get more quality for less at Chipotle or elsewhere. I would reconsider coming to Ensenada again for a special and for the fish tacos only, but not otherwise. Perhaps I am not the target audience for Tacos Ensenada. This time I got their mango aguafresca, flan, esquite, and chicken torta to try. The mango agua Fresca was sweet mangoy and refershing. The flan was firmer than what I'm used to but was still super creamy, not too sweet and had plenty of this caramely toasty flaves. It's corn season and the corn in the esquite MNM. Amazingly buttery juicy sweet and generously topped with rich mayo, Cotija cheese and tajin. The torta was also REALLY YUMMY and was filled with crunchy fresh onions, lettuce, tomato, and radish, soft beans, savory cheese, and tender limey flavorful perfectly grilled chicken. Me and a coworker stopped by for the first time last week for lunch…read more They have a cool mural on the side of the restaurant. So we decided to take pics before going in. The so called owner comes out saying "what are you guys doing?" Me: "taking pics. Is that allowed?" Her: (condescending tone) "yea I just wanted to know what was going on cause I saw you guys taking pics." A weird response? Like are you not used to business? And then she stayed there standing right beside us and monitoring until we finished taking pics. So weird and cringe. Only went inside cause we were already there and short on lunch time. The lady at the register was extremely nice though. So this is not an attack on the staff working the kitchen or in the front. But I won't be coming back solely because of the experience with the owner. It was just unnecessary and rude.
