Tacos Dos Pillo in Altadena is one of my favorite spots! I come here at least once a week, and the food is always fresh, delicious, and full of flavor. This time I ordered an asada burrito, two orders of potato tacos, an order of fish tacos, and a Jarrito; everything was excellent. The asada was flavorful, the potato tacos were perfectly crispy, and the fish tacos were delicious. The chefs here do an amazing job, and you can tell they take pride in the food they make. The quality is always consistent, which is why I keep coming back week after week. Definitely one of my go to taco spots in Altadena. Highly recommend! read more

I stopped here today and ordered the combo plate with two tacos Carnitas with rice and beans. This was very delicious and yummy . They have indoor seating and outdoor seating too, but today it is raining and so I decided to eat inside. The people working here are very friendly and professional and someone is always keeping the place clean. They have food to go and they do catering too. They have a large selection of soft drinks, but today I chose to just drink water. They play the authentic Mexican music and it has a good beat to it. On Friday's they do full on taco night with Chorizo, Asada, Adobada, Cabeza, and Labio. My favorite it the Asada!!! It deserves a 20!!! It's my first time coming to check this place out. I just happened to be driving by and had a gift card. It's always super clean. Food looks fresh and the service is super fast. I only have been there once. I was in the area looking for something to eat, and I saw the restaurant. It didn't look very appealing from the outside but I went anyway. Well, where can I start with this location? I used to go there when it was a little Market and there was a little restaurant in the back of the store that used to serve shrimp burritos Asada burritos now they opened a restaurant they claim to have the same recipes as before because it's owned by the same family let me start with my burrito my shrimp burrito I had maybe 3 1/2 shrimp in my burrito. It was 95% rice with sprinkles of shrimp so nasty. The Carne Asada burrito was disgusting as my husband said growing up in Pasadena. We are so disappointed in the taste and the quality and specially customer service none whatsoever rude loud it's was not a good experience. I will never go to that location again I do not recommend it at all.... and for whoever reads this from that location, make sure you know how to make shrimp burritos before you even put them on your menu.... read more

This place is really good! Quesa birria tacos and torta chingonas are a must try. Their chile Verde is flavorful and spicy without it being overwhelming. The staff is fun. You can tell they all like each other with the friendly jabs. The place fits about 32 inside and maybe another 12 outside. Very chill but I recommend coming after 1 pm after their lunch hour. Bought an Al Pastor burrito for lunch. Customer service was great, horchata definitely good, ambience not bad. Unfortunately my Al Pastor burrito was not great, the meat was dry and lacked flavor. Without a doubt my favorite spot in Altadena for quick and delicious Mexican food. You can't go wrong with anything here. Order everything at the counter, they call your number and you take a seat. No cervezas, but good augas frescas and bottled Mexican Coke. I usually stick to their tacos and burritos - if you're on a budget get the bean and cheese. Drove by a few times and decided to stop by to try it out. Came around 1pm on a saturday. Tacos are $2, pretty good deal. I order 2 tacos (carnitas, carne asada) to try it out. I put in my order at 1:10pm and got my food at 1:23pm. They seem pretty short staffed. Maybe it was a bad day for them. Maybe they got a bunch of door dash orders before me. Not that many people in line before me. Not like in n out where they are crowded and call out numbers every minute. I heard a number called every 5 mins. Tacos were greasy and flavorful. I enjoyed it. Would give the food 4 stars and considering dropping 1 star for the wait and lack of customer service. There is a sign saying they are not fast food and make every order to order and takes time. I get that but 13 minutes for 2 tacos is a bit long of a wait.
