    Chicken tacos
    Diane W.

I stopped by this spot on a Tuesday afternoon, and everything was great, from the time I arrived ---had no complaints until I began eating. This is a tiny tucked away taco restaurant located in the Berwyn/College Park area. It appeared to be very clean when I arrived and had plenty of parking out front. Upon entering the restaurant, the inside appeared to be very clean as well. There was no line, so I was able to walk right up and place my order. The cashier was a young guy who was very pleasant and patient. I ordered 2 Chicken tacos and 2 steak tacos. I wasn't aware that I got a free taco until I looked at my receipt. I believe they have a buy 3 get 1 free on Tuesday's which was cool. My order was ready in about 5 minutes. It was then brought out, and around the counter to me by a nice young lady. I was overall pleased with my visit. After getting home and beginning to enjoy my tacos, I noticed the chicken and steak was extremely dry. I emptied all of my sauces on the tacos, and it still didn't do any justice. The chicken was some of the driest chicken I've ever had on tacos, it was cut into huge chucks and grilled. Waaaay overcooked---I don't recall the meat having any flavor at all. I was livid, I visited this place because it had great reviews, however it did not meet my expectations. But 1 star for the cleanliness, 1 star for the staff/service, and 1 star for the Tuesday taco deal.

Some of the best tacos we have found in the area. I'm never disappointed. I wish the prices were a bit lower, but we live in an expensive area. It's a popular place. They also have good and unique vegetarian options. I love the carnitas and also like their elote. The restaurant is cute inside and service is good.

I had the most excruciating stomach ache after these tacos, but would that stop me from going back? No. Do I need to say more :) Everyone loved the shrimp tacos, plump and juicy and a great balance between the other heavier meats. Their lengua is so juicy as well and my personal favorite. The carne is a bit dry and al pastor never misses. Their loaded fries are a bit too heavy with the sauces, and the fries are pretty thick and not crispy. They're generous with the amount of meat though!

I heard about this place on Instagram and figured I'd give them a shot. We arrived and they were quite busy. We didn't water anytime and ordered the following: Birria Tacos, Birria Ramen, Shrimp and Steak Taco. The foot took about 15 minutes and came out hot and ready to eat. The tacos were good. Decent size. The ramen came with a lot of meat and noodles. Overall it's a good spot with good prices. I'd go back if I were in the college park area.

Came here for the first time with hubby and some friends. Hubby and I ordered their elote corn (with cheese), tinga tacos, steak tacos, shrimp taco, fish taco, fries (without protein, but with their other toppings), and mushroom quesadilla. Our total came out to approximately $59. What's Hot - Quality. Delicious. My husband said the chicken in his tacos had a bit of a spicy kick to it, which he enjoyed. Throughout our meal, all the fillings (i.e., meat and vegetables) were tender, nicely seasoned, and not overly salty. Their fries are very delicious, with or without a protein. The toppings alone add a delicious flavor. - Menu. There appears to be something for everyone- meat, veggies, although non-dairy may be an issue. - Price. For the most part, it's pretty reasonable. For example, my husband and I ordered their fries without a protein- just with their toppings- which ended up being $8, rather than what it's normally priced at with protein. (The picture I included is the fries, which my friends ordered, and they included carne asade.) - Portions. Pretty reasonable, but it depends on what you're ordering. Again, their tacos are not large, so that's dependent on personal preference. Their quesadillas are a pretty good size, probably the width of two hands. The size of their fries (with or without a protein) are enormous and definitely enough to serve two people. - Parking. There is street parking, which is timed to 2 hours between 8am to 5pm, Monday to Fridays. What's Not - Acoustics. The inside of their restaurant has terrible acoustics. Everything echoes, so having a conversation is very difficult. There are a few tables outside, but be aware of bugs. - Menu. The menu inside the restaurant does not provide all the information of options. For example, there is no information that you can order their fries without a protein. The only reason why I was aware of that, is because I went on their website to look at their menu ahead of time. I also saw pictures on Yelp showing fries without protein. - Service. Not very good. We ate at the restaurant, so they gave us a number to put at our table. Our order was broken up in 3 separate trips and the time was drawn out, probably over 20 minutes. - Price. My husband was a little annoyed that it costs approximately $4 per tacos, which are small. To be fair, they're delicious, but he did not think the tacos are good value for money, given the portion sizes. - Parking. Depending on the time you go, be aware of the time parking issues. Any parking lots for local businesses and organizations appear to be restricted, so be aware. Final Answer Willing to come back, but not as a first choice, and will more than likely order takeaway.

The food here is spectacular! My husband and I have been looking for a go to place to get carne asada fries in the DMV and we were left speechless. The portion size was generous and the flavors were superb. The staff was super sweet when we walked up to the cash register to order and the servers were efficient in delivering to our table with our little number card.

I've had some good tacos in the area. And these may be up there with the best. The ingredients are fresh, and so flavorful. Service was fast, there's indoor seating. This place was great. The shrimp & crab cake taco were equally delicious. Cabbage slaw. And some type of creamy chipotle sauce made it oh so good. Their salsa verde was good enough to pour in a boot and drink it out. I'll definitely be visiting again...and again!

Taco De Camarón (Shrimp Tacos), Taco de Chorizo Vegano (Vegan Chorizo) , Taco De Hongos (Mushroom Tacos)

The food is always exceptional. My go tos to get as a pescatarian are the shrimp tacos, crab cake tacos and the vegan chorizo. The service is good and the food is worth the wait. The ambiance is very chill and homey and the restaurant is always very clean. They have both outdoor and indoor seating. On Tuesdays if you buy two tacos you get one free! Highly recommend.

Food was fine. Chips were too hard and the cheese tasted like it came out of a can. Consume was also just fine. Nothing special. However, it had a good price for everything.

These are the best tacos I've ever had in the entire state of Maryland I get them every time I am in CP. I've never had a bad order here. If you go to UMD or live nearby, you gotta stop in.

Came here on the best day of the week- taco Tuesday! 2 for 1 tacos. It's largely a take out spot but there are a few tables for eating as well. It took awhile for me to get my food- I eventually went up to inquire and it was sitting there the whole time. Thankfully the tacos made up for the wait. I got the zucchini taco- SO pleasantly surprised how delicious this was! Shrimp taco- maybe one of my faves in the area. And my first time ever having a crab cake taco- I would definitely have this again. Next time I wanna try the Burria taquito.

For me, one of the toughest things is having a restaurant that I love that takes a huge dip downhill. I am going to tell my story from beginning to end. I ordered some tacos to go online (carne asada, crab cake, spicy chicken tinga, grilled shrimp + a side of guacamole). When I walked inside the restaurant, there were only two people inside and a family who walked in behind me. The two people dining in looked miserable and were picking at their food, which is never a good sign. I was in shock, as back in the day the restaurant line would be out the door and it was usually hard to find a seat. So I walk up to the pick-up counter to pick up my food, there are two young chicks in the back in the kitchen pouncing around like Hansel and Gretel preparing the food. Throwing stuff on the grill & shoving the food into the boxes. Not wholesome at all. They looked at me & then continued doing what they were doing, until one of them saw my facial expression. The young lady came over and asked for my name and then handed me my food. She did not look happy at all to be there. I then asked her "Are there salsas inside?" To which she snapped at me with attitude. I firmly responded "I am asking you to verify, and thanked her for the order". She stormed off and finished throwing food into the bags. At this point, the bad customer service was enough to make me not want to return. The family behind me had been standing at the main cash register for about 5-7 minutes waiting to order. No one was there at the register and the staff who were cleaning ignored them and swept around them. I felt bad for the family, but also they should have left at that point. It was clear that the staff did not want them eating there. The vibes in here were awful. Now, I hoped that the food would make up for the bad service. Nope, I got home to find out that all of my tacos were flavorless, literal mush packed into a tortilla. The salsas were bland, as were the limes. The crab cake taco had fake crab meat. All in all, I felt like I wasted my money. This used to be one of my spots! I met the owner back then and she made all the customers feel warm and welcome. I think the owner needs to make a return and open her eyes to what is going on. Otherwise, y'all clientele may start to dwindle as it already is. We have plenty of authentic taquerias in the are, after today I will not be returning. Please get rid of the snakes in the kitchen, sooner rather than later! Customer service training and a traditional Mexican cuisine cooking class is essential. Also bring back the Abuelas who were cooking back when this place first opened!

Three tacos - Al pastor, carnitas, and Taco de Carne Asada (Steak)
    Scot W.

I was excited to try a new taco place, especially one so well rated. They have a fairly standard taco menu and a straightforward approach (a lot of meat, some cilantro and onions, no frills). Their portions are generous, especially for their prices. I regret not getting a birria taco, or perhaps trying their birria ramen, but that gives me a reason to give them another shot. I had 3 tacos: al pastor, carnitas, and carne asada. The flavors were decent but the meat was slightly under seasoned. The carne asada was also overcooked. Overall, the tacos were dry and a little bland -- disappointing. My friend had 3 chicken tacos that she said were good but a little bland. The salsa served with the tacos definitely helped, but it was given a little too much to do. The service was friendly but slow (took about 35 minutes to receive our six tacos after ordering) and the seating/dining area was pretty generic, but comfortable. I will give them another try...they may have been having an off night, and maybe my order didn't play to their strengths (although they should be staples of any taqueria that offers them).

I wouldn't even recommend this place to my worst enemy. First off they have no prices posted, secondly they only have about 8 items that they sell. I don't understand how they could mess up tacos to the extent that they did... I ordered 4 tacos (2 chicken and 2 steak). The tacos were $5.00 a piece and the quesadilla was $13 I believe. This was the worse $34.00 I've ever spent. The steak tacos were so small and they were dry but, they did have a little flavor to them. The chicken tacos were like dry shredded rubber--horrible. I couldn't even finish them, even after drenching them in all the sauce I had. The lime was so hard I had to fight to get juice out of it and when I did get juice to come out it was bitter--yuck! They doubled up on the wraps like most places do, but it was useless since the tacos were dried out. The cilantro and onions tasted fresh but that's about it. I removed the extra wraps and they were clean and looked unused. I thought the reason for the double wraps were to help support the first wrap so the taco doesn't come apart..... The wraps weren't even warmed together, they were literally separate--ugh.. The quesadilla was huge until my son opened it and looked inside. There wasn't much filling at all.The wrap was big and soggy--matter of fact I think it was a burrito instead of a quesadilla. It didn't look like it was heated nor was it cut. Everything is wrong at this place, I would avoid at all cost. This has to be the worst taco spot in Maryland.. I am very disappointed in this place, it was the worse experience ever. I've attached the pictures of all the bs they sold me. I

As much as I used to go to Beltway Plaza and shop in there, I never got any food from there…read more.. until now! Taco Tuesday means I have to enjoy some somewhere right?? El Taco Rico has some tables outside of the small restaurant, and there are a few inside. When you walk in, tables are to the left, and the register is to your right. They have a plastic screen up, and you can see their small menu... there are no physical ones, and I had to ask what their taco types were. From anyone just passing by, the place honestly doesn't look like much, and everything looks kind of old. I opted for 3 chicken tacos... which came to $12, I was surprised they were $4 each! Around my way I usualy expect things like tacos to be way cheaper lol. So I was a tad concerned... I went to sit down outside, and when the plate was brought to me (I chose dine-in) my jaw almost dropped when I looked at my plate. The tacos were bigger than I expected and they were loaded with chicken! They brought out 3 bottles of sauce and veggies to put on the tacos too! Presentation and size immediately took my concerns away. When I took a bite... yes. The pulled chicken was tender and I was STUFFED after I finished all 3.

Continuing my alphabet series, now onto K is for Krazi Burrito…read more Introduction: I was already familiar with the Krazi Burrito brand as I attended a Yelp event in August 2023. At the time, I met the owner (Nomie), sampled food, & was an awesome experience. Please see my 5-star review from then. At the time, I said one of these days I need to go back here. I don't often go to College Park, but I kept this in the back of my head. That "one of these days I need to go back here" came on Sunday, April 13, 2025. The next time my girlfriend & I were in College Park was 5 weeks later, today, Sunday, May 18 for College Park's Spring Street Fair. We had a Meetup walk in Greenbelt, which was a little shorter than we thought. We were originally going to eat lunch, College Park Day, and then a 3 PM back in Greenbelt. But considering the walk was shorter, I checked the movie schedule and said 12:30 could work, and we could go to the Fair after, which made sense. As it turns, we got there shortly before 3 PM. I never looked at the schedule, but there was a fold-up sign saying to scan the QR code to see the schedule of events. I looked and exclaimed to my g/f Nomie from Krazi Burrito was doing a presentation at the Culinary stage. I said we gotta find this stage, and walking just 2 steps, I said it's right here. Nomie remembered me and was friendly. He gave a great presentation. I was thinking I need to get around to this Krazi Burrito review, and just so happened to be next on my alphabet series. Experience on Sunday, April 13: We had a College Park Meetup walk that day, and I suggested we do this Ghost kitchen. You have to put the order ahead of time although they have screens you get there too. I live about 15 miles away and were making 2 stops on the way. Wanted to put in the order on the computer before leaving as opposed to on my phone and driving. We estimated the time but were about 25 minutes early. A kitchen staff member came out, and I said we were a little early, so if it can be ready early, it'd be great. They were done a little early, which was nice. We enjoyed our burritos on the limited outside tables. Wow, these are quite possibly the best burrito I've ever had. My g/f shared that same sentiment. The burrito is so flavorful, steak is tender and various other ingredients were fresh & well seasoned. In addition to the burrito, it comes with a boba tea! That was excellent as well. I knew the burrito was excellent from the 2023 Yelp event, but I'll definitely will need to come back again and try the kabob & other items in the future! Thanks again to Nomie & the kitchen staff for making such delicious food.

Yep, like I said, I'd order again! I liked it so much, I had it two days in a row! This time, I…read moreordered enough to share!
