I had brunch here for the first time with my girlfriend. It was highly recommended. I ordered the vegetarian omelette with home fries and coffee. The coffee was delicious and the omelette was average. I was expecting an actual omelette but it came as a scramble entree. It was okay. Other than that the service was decent. The bathroom was clean and needless to say I returned the same day and had a solo dinner date at the bar. I ordered a shrimp fajita which was smaller than what I expected but it was sizzling and hot and delicious. I had red blend wine to complement my meal. I plan to return to try their dessert and brunch.

Me and my boyfriend had our first date night since having our baby here and it was amazing!! Everything tasted sooo good! We were seated immediately and I ordered the calamari as soon as I sat down. It was out in about 5 mins and matched with the sauce perfectly. There a lack of breading in the middle of the rings which isn't my favorite but it was really good still. I also ordered the Lomo de Buey which is steak, spinach, and potatoes. for $16?!?!? omg give me 3 of them! My boyfriend ordered the guac, chicken tacos and a quesadilla because they are true to the name, these are small plates! This is a great place to come if you are doing more talking than eating, if you are actually hungry be careful because you might order the whole menu LOL

Well, l had lunch at Riviera today last time was a huge disappointment. I went back to read it and l wouldn't change a word. I knew that l would come back at some point because l gave such glowing reviews before the last one a year ago. Went today unexpectedly and everything was one point. Drink, the meal of Chicken and Mashed Potatoes. Owner stopped by and chatted just like she usually does. All is forgiven see you next time.

Don't let looks decieve you. I say on visiting this place for too long. I didnt expect much but I was served heaven. Waiters were polite and took plates to free up my table. The music was super familiar. There is also a walking path near here. It's amazing.

This was one of the best cheap brunches I've been to in a long time. I love tapas style and the food did not disappoint. I think we tried almost everything on the menu. $45 for unlimited food and mimosas/ sangria is a steal. It's best to make a reservation since the bar area fills up quick. Bacon wrapped dates-10/10 Brussel sprouts - 7/10 Chicken empanadas - 9/10 Beef empanadas - 5/10 Huevos de pollo - 8/10 Mussels - 6/10 Fried green tomatoes - 7/10 Red sangria - 4/10 Mango mimosa - 10/10 Passion fruit mimosa - 7/10 I'll be back for sure!

After coming back from spending two weeks in Spain, I was craving some authentic tapas. This place was a pretty good substitute. Everything we ate was delicious...we had the crab and risotto balls, patatas bravas, pan con tomate, and we had a steak dish (not pictured). Everything was delicious! I topped it off with a delicious glass of Tempranillo and my girlfriend had the churros dessert. The service was a little slow...but there was a huge birthday party happening there at the same time so I'll give them a pass this time around. We can't wait to come back and try some more dishes!

Food was tasty. Well priced, atmosphere was pleasant, service was nice and you can tell their menu is made with love. It's a nice place to grab a drink, I'll most definitely be back for happy hour.

I really love this little hideout. Intimate space and the mood lighting and absolutely beautiful chandelier in the main dining room rounds out the soft vibes. For some reason, every time I dine here I only eat apps but I will branch out one day. Now the food is really good but the real star is the bartender who is somehow always there when I visit. She knows how to make a good drink!! I love the whiskey sours and my go-to apps are in the pictures. The parking is really limited so if you live nearby, it's conveniently on the walking trail. Pro tip: come to their happy hour on Wednesdays... it's from 4pm - 8pm.

This was second time going to Riviera Tapas and both times did not disappoint! It is the perfect spot for after work drinks. The happy hour has amazing prices and has a lot more menu options than most other places in the area. Service was also fast even as the restaurant became progressively busier, which is a plus. I especially enjoyed the patatas bravas. They were perfectly crispy and the sauce had great depth of flavor! The empanadas were also cooked well and the drinks were refreshing.

Thankfully, the runner who seated us, (a kind and helpful gentlemen who got a separate tip) noticed and got Daniel to visit our table. My gin martini was excellent and the water was cold. We ordered several plates, which arrived rather quickly. The homemade hummus with the carrots and pickled onions was fantastic. We'd take creamy and delicious hummus like that any day. The deviled eggs were wonderful and came with an extra kick thanks to the jalapeno. Gnocchi with parmesan, carrots, and asparagus was creamy, comforting, and filling. The lamb over hummus, with their rich homemade gravy, rivaled any amazing lamb dish I had anywhere. The portions were phenomenal. I have been to places that give half as much with the same prices. The chef and kitchen staff are incredible. We'll definitely return to try new dishes but we hope the service is much improved.

My only complaint is that a lot of the other menu items didn't come with sides, and they didn't really offer an à la carte option to add something to complete my brunch. So, just keep that in mind when ordering. I honestly cannot remember the name of the drink I ordered, but it was so good that I got it twice! LOL. After striking out at two other spots, we landed at Barcelona Wine Bar, and honestly, it ended up being a pretty good save. As expected on a Thursday night, there was a wait for indoor seating, so we did what any reasonable adults would do: grabbed a drink at the bar and waited it out. I started with a Sauvignon Blanc while my friend ordered an espresso martini made with tequila, which was surprisingly delicious. Since we'd already survived happy hour elsewhere and had plans to continue the evening, we responsibly switched to water during dinner. Hydration is self-care, ladies and gentlemen. For food, we ordered the garlic shrimp, crispy mushrooms, chicken thigh, patatas bravas, and branzino. The stars of the evening were definitely the garlic shrimp and the patatas bravas. The chicken thigh was also flavorful and well-prepared. The crispy mushrooms, however, didn't quite do it for us. The flavor itself was good, but there was so much breading that we felt like we were eating the concept of a mushroom rather than an actual mushroom. Now for the plot twist. Everything came out fairly quickly except for the branzino. After waiting about 30 minutes, our server kindly informed us that it would be another 30 minutes before the fish arrived. At that point, we collectively decided that while we enjoy seafood, we do not enjoy it enough to wait an hour for it. So, we politely waved the white flag and called it a night. The service throughout the evening was genuinely good. The hostess was friendly, our server was attentive and communicative, and the bartender was cool despite operating under what appeared to be combat-level crowd conditions. It was packed, so ordering required decisiveness and a strong sense of purpose. The restaurant itself isn't huge, but it's a great size with a lively atmosphere and plenty of outdoor seating--which I'm sure is wonderful during the approximately three weeks of the year when DC weather is actually pleasant. Would I return? Absolutely. I'd just skip the mushrooms, order strategically, and maybe avoid arriving after spending several hours participating in Happy Hour Olympics beforehand. As I always say: I'm not difficult to please. I just have standards.

Service was pretty fast, though we did come in on a weekday during lunch hours. It wasn't super packed which made it a relaxed vibe. The appetizers and the main meals were outstanding. Every time we go to Ambar, the Balkan Salad, the beet tzatziki, and the veal soup are our non-negotiable starters. The bread basket that comes with the spreads is always warm as if it came out of the oven which is a nice touch. This time around we got to try kajmak- tasted like fresh butter from a farm. The orders we kept coming back to in particular were the grilled shrimp, the sesame crusted salmon, and the beef goulash. It's easy to get full quickly, but if you're eyeing on dessert, pace yourself! Unless you love decadent cakes, I would pass if dessert is an extra cost. The dessert menu was quite underwhelming to me and, besides the baklava, doesn't give traditional Balkan dessert vibes. If I were to recommend going to Ambar, definitely head in during restaurant week! And if paying full cost, I would say brunch has a nicer sweets selection over the dessert menu offered during lunch and dinner.

I could tell from other conversations throughout the restaurant that the other servers were equally kind to their patrons. The decor is beautiful! I feel like I don't usually see restaurants with such a strong aesthetic in the Fulton area. I think the ambiance created by the decor definitely heightened my experience. Now, for the food. What we ordered: - Traditional Country Spinach Pie - Falafel - Spicy Lamb Beef Dip - Grilled Octopus - Grilled Salmon - Chicken Tenderloin - Athenian Shrimp The spinach pie and falafel were standard; good, but nothing to write home about. The spicy lamb dip was my party's favorite mezze. I feel that Cypriana does meats very well (especially the grilled ones). But the dishes were brought down by the sides. The grilled salmon, octopus, and chicken were all delicious! However, the red quinoa mixture tasted incredibly earthy. I did not enjoy it, but some healthier members of my party did haha. The chicken and fries was probably the best pairing (and child-approved!). Regarding the "Athenian Shrimp": Upon some research, I believe this is the restaurant's interpretation of Garides Saganaki. The restaurant served the sauce on a bed of pilaf. From my understanding, shrimp saganaki is more commonly (not exclusively) eaten as a dip with bread. Of course, there's no "wrong" way to serve anything, but the rice paired with the Athenian Shrimp was incredibly moist to the point of distraction. The sauce was very good, but I found myself eventually eating around the rice because the wet texture was so off-putting. I think the sauce would have been better paired with a pasta, pita, or baguette.

That thoughtfulness is one of the many reasons I was excited to try it. When we arrived, I was initially concerned after learning that the "G" on the menu indicated dishes **containing** gluten rather than being gluten-free. Since many menu items were marked with a "G," I worried my options would be very limited, especially for the unlimited brunch experience. Thankfully, our server, Emma, immediately put me at ease. She brought me the food allergy menu, answered my questions with patience, and made sure I understood what was safe for me to enjoy. While my husband and I were deciding whether to stay, the manager, Antonio, came to our table after Emma shared my dietary concerns. His kindness completely changed the experience. He took the time to explain my options, offered to have the kitchen modify several dishes, and reassured me that their goal was for me to feel safe and enjoy my meal. Thanks to Emma and Antonio, what started with uncertainty became one of the most enjoyable brunch experiences I've had. I was able to enjoy a variety of delicious dishes, the mimosas were a great value, and the restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful, with floor-to-ceiling windows that fill the space with natural light. What I'll remember most, though, is how genuinely cared for I felt. Before we left, Antonio stopped by one last time to make sure I was happy with my meal and that all of my needs had been met. My husband had put so much love and intention into choosing this restaurant, and thanks to Emma and Antonio, we both left with happy hearts and full bellies.
