Well, l had lunch at Riviera today last time was a huge disappointment. I went back to read it and l wouldn't change a word. I knew that l would come back at some point because l gave such glowing reviews before the last one a year ago. Went today unexpectedly and everything was one point. Drink, the meal of Chicken and Mashed Potatoes. Owner stopped by and chatted just like she usually does. All is forgiven see you next time.

Me and my boyfriend had our first date night since having our baby here and it was amazing!! Everything tasted sooo good! We were seated immediately and I ordered the calamari as soon as I sat down. It was out in about 5 mins and matched with the sauce perfectly. There a lack of breading in the middle of the rings which isn't my favorite but it was really good still. I also ordered the Lomo de Buey which is steak, spinach, and potatoes. for $16?!?!? omg give me 3 of them! My boyfriend ordered the guac, chicken tacos and a quesadilla because they are true to the name, these are small plates! This is a great place to come if you are doing more talking than eating, if you are actually hungry be careful because you might order the whole menu LOL

This was one of the best cheap brunches I've been to in a long time. I love tapas style and the food did not disappoint. I think we tried almost everything on the menu. $45 for unlimited food and mimosas/ sangria is a steal. It's best to make a reservation since the bar area fills up quick. After coming back from spending two weeks in Spain, I was craving some authentic tapas. This place was a pretty good substitute. Everything we ate was delicious...we had the crab and risotto balls, patatas bravas, pan con tomate, and we had a steak dish (not pictured). Everything was delicious! I topped it off with a delicious glass of Tempranillo and my girlfriend had the churros dessert. The service was a little slow...but there was a huge birthday party happening there at the same time so I'll give them a pass this time around. We can't wait to come back and try some more dishes!

Food was tasty. Well priced, atmosphere was pleasant, service was nice and you can tell their menu is made with love. It's a nice place to grab a drink, I'll most definitely be back for happy hour.

I really love this little hideout. Intimate space and the mood lighting and absolutely beautiful chandelier in the main dining room rounds out the soft vibes. For some reason, every time I dine here I only eat apps but I will branch out one day. Now the food is really good but the real star is the bartender who is somehow always there when I visit. She knows how to make a good drink!! I love the whiskey sours and my go-to apps are in the pictures. The parking is really limited so if you live nearby, it's conveniently on the walking trail. Pro tip: come to their happy hour on Wednesdays... it's from 4pm - 8pm.

First time trying and I loved it! I came for happy hour and got the mango habanero wings and patatas bravas. Both of which were tasty. The service was great. It wasn't very crowded when I went but overall cozy, local vibe. Would definitely come again!

This was second time going to Riviera Tapas and both times did not disappoint! It is the perfect spot for after work drinks. The happy hour has amazing prices and has a lot more menu options than most other places in the area. Service was also fast even as the restaurant became progressively busier, which is a plus. I especially enjoyed the patatas bravas. They were perfectly crispy and the sauce had great depth of flavor! The empanadas were also cooked well and the drinks were refreshing.

Riviera Tapas Bar missed the mark for me. The waiters all walked by without acknowledging me until I flagged one down personally for assistance - not a good sign. The venue was nice; clean and well lit however the food left much to be desired. I ordered the fried calamari and crab risotto balls. The calamari was extremely salty, I didn't finish the dish. The crab risotto was very dry. I did order a drink, that was actually pretty good.

Our water glasses were rarely empty. Service was kind. Food wise if I were to stack rank I would say the hummus is the best of what we ordered. The pita bread is thick and garlicky and oily and massive. The croquettes would be at the bottom of my list simply because they're dissimilar from any I've had before and a little bit underwhelming. The tuna was fresh but it's a small dish and not much to write home about. The lamb skewers have a subtle kick to them and they're pretty substantial. I'll definitely be back to try more! Highly recommend on a warm summer day as you're covered by the canopy above, if you're looking for a rooftop vibe.

Barcelona was okay but has room for improvement…read more I checked out the menu and other Yelp reviews before visiting. Many of the reviews mentioned the loud music, tightly packed tables, and lukewarm food, which is exactly what I experienced. I don't want to feel like I'm in a club, watch servers barely squeak by my table, or eat room temp food. We visited on Sunday night for a 6 PM reservation. The place was busy but not full, and got a little busier by the time we left around 7:15 PM. There was a small line at the host stand, but people were quickly seated. The host initially took us to a two-top next to a four-top that had a baby in a high chair and some kids books/toys nudging into our table space. We politely asked for a different table, which the host accommodated, but we shouldn't have to ask; they should give guests more space proactively. Our waiter was not particularly friendly or helpful. He asked us about allergies, but did not offer to explain the menu, make recommendations, or anything else. I overheard the waiter at the table next to us telling his table all about the menu and warning them to order any large dishes early, because they can take up to 45 minutes to prepare. We got no such advice; thankfully, we didn't plan to get any large dishes. I do appreciate that the food pacing was pretty good, all the dishes came out quickly and were cleared quickly, and our waiter offered us another piece of bread later (for a dish that only came with one piece and should have come with two...). We got a pitcher of red sangria ($38) which was 4 glasses worth. The sangria tasted fine but was very generic; nothing special, not much fruit, lots of ice. The server who poured it for us did it in a very noisy, distracting way -- shaking it a lot to get the ice to settle, struggling to balance the amount of ice in each glass, spilling some ice on the floor. It was unpleasant and almost comical. We tried eight different tapas dishes: Eggplant Caponata ($7.5), Rainbow Carrots ($8.5), Whipped Sheep's Cheese ($8.5), Cauliflower ($9.5), Grilled Chicken Thigh ($10.5), Bacon-Wrapped Dates ($8.5), Jamon and Manchego Croquetas ($7.5, four pieces), and Lamb Merguez ($10.5). Everything was pretty good. The best dishes were the Sheep's Cheese and Chicken Thigh. The cheese was a nice portion and worked well with the honey. It only came with one piece of bread and should have come with two. Also, although the bread had grill marks on it, it was not warm at all, barely room temperature. The chicken was excellent all around -- tender, salty, spicy, with a very nice green sauce. All the other dishes were ok but had room to improve. The croquetas -- which I love in any form -- had a nice, crunchy exterior and a soft interior that reminded me of mashed potatoes. I wouldn't say they tasted particularly like jamon and manchego, though. The bacon-wrapped dates -- also a favorite dish -- were fine if a bit sweet; the blue cheese on the plate cut this a bit, but I wanted more flavor from the bacon, which was lost against the sweetness of the date. The carrots looked pretty but had different levels of doneness -- some softer or harder than others -- and I wanted more flavor from the sauce. The lamb merguez came with fava hummus and both tasted bland. The eggplant did not have a uniform heat level -- some pieces hot, some room temp -- and I disliked the sauce, which reminded me of sweet BBQ sauce in a negative way. The cauliflower was underwhelming; the sauce needed to be punchier and the dish needed another ingredient, like a few crunchy nuts. I would like to see the restaurant turn down the music, give diners more space, and tweak many of the dishes. It was an okay meal but I wouldn't return.

I chose Ambar for my group, and I'm very pleased with our selection. Food Most of our group had dietary restrictions. Several of us were gluten free, and one person was both nut and seafood free. Ambar did an excellent job curating a menu that worked for everyone without making anyone feel like an afterthought. We opted for the Chef's Table experience, which included a spread tasting with veggie sticks and a variety of dishes that were clearly labeled and thoughtfully prepared: * Bean hummus - GF / DF / NF * Ajvar - GF / DF / NF * Balkan salad - GF / DF / NF (one prepared without feta cheese) * Baby carrots - GF / DF / NF (one prepared without tofu sauce) * Roasted peppers - GF / DF / NF * Cauliflower - GF / DF / NF * Baked beans - GF / DF / NF * Roasted lamb - GF / DF / NF * Stuffed pork belly "Sarma" - GF / DF / NF * Brussels sprouts - GF / DF / NF (one prepared without yogurt and bacon) * Seafood platter Everything was flavorful, well-seasoned, and beautifully presented. The meal was so delicious that I didn't even manage to get photos of everything, which rarely happens for me. Just know we dined very well and left completely satisfied. Service The staff was wonderful from start to finish. From the event team member who served as our account manager, to the chef, to the servers and wait staff, everyone was attentive and accommodating. They handled our dietary needs with care and professionalism and made sure our group felt taken care of throughout the evening. A very nice touch to add a stem of Rose for the women. I would say that I gave it a lower star rating not because the food was bad. It was actually delicious, but probably the experience itself. The restaurant felt chaotic, and even though all the tables were not completely packed of course there were flowers everywhere people gathering with grandmother's mother's children, etc We were seated in a two people table and all the top past dishes started to pile up very quickly. Instead of monitoring, the progress of the finished dishes and removing those dishes due to space constraint, the dishes came from the kitchen, almost on top of one another, and at one point I had to hold a dish in my hand in order to make space to put a dish on top of another flatbread pan/dish, making things super chaotic. Also dishes had to be put on top of the menu because in order to order additional food, you need to leave at least one copy of the menu at the table. Overall, again the flavors and taste were good, though I might have had similar dishes from other places, and my partner commented that some of it is actually very close to the Capital One landing at DCA. I would just say that it was more due to the chaos and just the way that all the dishes piled up on top of us we felt like we were we had to eat super quickly so that we could stack dishes ourselves and create room at the table. Also, when serving the dishes were not kept level and basically was slide to the side of the dish, making presentation off
