Food was okay. Waitress was not. While she was nice to some of the people in our party, she seemed to just be very bothered by one person at our table. While he was ordering, she rudely said she couldn't hear him and that he needed to speak up. Then when trying to grab the menu, he didn't hear her. She then waved her hands at him, gesturing to the menu. It was extremely disrespectful, and ironic considering how rude she was when she couldn't hear. God forbid someone can't hear her. This place is so so. As we walked in there were 8 of us women. The lady that greeted us didn't look happy. We ask for a table for 8 & she said she didn't have a table for 8 except for outside. It may have had 4-5 tables that was occupied. She said she couldn't push 2 tables together, yet as I looked around there was a table that wasn't a high top that seated 6 people but insisted we had to sit at a picnic table outside with the heat index at 100 degrees with one round fan blowing. The food was not very appetizing. Beans like soup( I found one whole bean, some dishes were doused with queso & not tasty. The taquito's was supposed to be served with guacamole, pico, & queso. It was lettuce with queso drizzles of queso, No guacamole or pico at all. I had to ask for guacamole & one lady gave me her pico. Rice very bland. Taquito's were pretty good. All in all very rude service from hostess & brought some food out without a smile. flies all around while trying to eat. Fan was blocked if you sat at far end of table. We were in town for the Witches walk and we stumbled upon this gem! We were actually able to get a table. Football was on and we decided to chill with a margarita (the jalepeno margarita was delish as we the caddilac was too!) we ordered food and our waitress Adyson was magnificent! She made sure everything was to order and she took fantastic care of us! Then told us it was her first day! She deserves a raise! We tipped her well because she was that good! Highly recommend! If I could give this place negative stars I would. We sat down and ordered waters for the table. The kids couldn't drink the water, I couldn't drink the water, I approached the waiter and he said he couldn't even drink their water. They are serving tap water. The water tastes like rotten seafood. They got the manager who is the owners son. He was a total POS. He said I can pay over $3 for a bottle of water or drink their tap water. I told him that it's not normal to go to a restaurant to eat and the tap water tastes like fish. He gave ZERO f****. I've eaten downtown bay several times when visiting and never ever have I had water taste like that. I will not be returning to this restaurant. That kid is RUDE and they can't even do drinking water right. Disgusting. read more

I'm a local resident and rarely give online reviews but everyone said wait until they worked out the kinks. Bottom line...I've had better experiences at Taco Bell. This was our third attempt. Ordered chips with guacamole and a side of salsa, two street tacos (barbacoa and chorizo), and a quesadilla with cheese, bell pepper and onion. Bartender informed us that they don't carry bell pepper, so we didn't get the quesadilla. This would make one think that if something does come with bell pepper, then it is probably pre-made/frozen. I can't confirm this, though. The tacos came out and then the chips and guacamole/salsa. Barbacoa lacked flavor; tasted more like roast beef from a can. Chorizo was super spicy and tasted like it had been spiced up with a little crab boil; not sure what it was. Tacos did not come with the usual red sauce in a little cup like in Slidell. I asked about it and was handed a squeeze bottle with some red sauce, but it didn't taste the same; at least it gave some flavor to the barbacoa. The guacamole was ok, but the "salsa" tasted more like tomato purée with a little salt flavor. It had no spice at all, no visible onion or other ingredients except for what appeared to be tomato seeds. I would've preferred Del Monte spaghetti sauce. Bartender stated at some point that the menu changes up, and I asked if he had ever eaten at the Slidell location. He stated that he had not. Not a big deal, but I was just curious and trying to figure out why call this location Tacos & Beer when the food clearly does not taste the same and the method of serving the food is different. We have been to T&B many times in the Bay. As when restaurants first open, they have their challenges. Recently, this place has been consistent with food and service. The weekly specials are great, especially the $1 street taco on Tuesdays. read more

Even though we came after lunch rush (1:50 PM) and no one was in the restaurant, we waited for wait staff, food, and then the tacos ordered were so hot (with pepper) I couldn't eat them (creole queen raised on cayenne)! The waitress never came back... we asked the other waitress for help and she helped us... The original waitress brought the check, and left; and never came back. We asked the other waitress for a to go box and gave the credit card and tip to the other waitress - When you spend over $50 for lunch you should get good service... ONE STAR read more

Food is great. Chips are a bit thick for my liking but that's the only issue so far and I've been there 4 times now.

First time visiting this location since they've opened. And it will be my last. We walked in and were told sit anywhere. It was a beautiful day, so we went outside. While the restaurant was not even close to being crowded, we waited a good 30+ minutes for someone to even come to our table with a menu. All the while, several of the wait staff "looked " at us, but did not ever acknowledge we were sitting there. When we finally got a waitress, she said she didn't know it was her table. We finally got a menu and ordered chips and salsa along with Queso for an appetizer. (Yes you have to pay for chips and salsa). When it arrived, we had about 10 chips. Literally! So we asked could we get more chips. 15-20 minutes later, the chips and drinks finally arrived. We then placed our orders. The waitress advised us this was her second day (but apparently no one thought she needed to be trained). Our food came and it was subpar at best. We never saw anyone again, so finished our meals with nothing to drink. And drinks are $3.25, so some refills would have been nice. We finally got the check after quite some time and the literally charge you for every little thing. A small cup of cheese was $2.40. The bill was $75 for three people. HORRIBLE SERVICE AND GROSSLY OVERPRICED!!! I do NOT recommend! read more
