Asada super burrito for din din... surprisingly good for a taco truck in the hood... #sacramento #Foodporn #mexican
    Alex T.

Awesome simple hot food gasm burritos! Vibe / Layout I don't know how many times i have drove right by it and say are they legit?! I mean haven't you done something similar to what i did, always try to find time or just curious and want to try it but end up not doing it. i don't know what made me go here, but i was hungry and was in the area and at the stop light right next to it. i was like this is the perfect chance to go or else, when will i go again.... hmmm.... I was starving and wanted something quick and yes they were FAST! Layout is a taco truck, but not only do they sell tacos, but burritos, tortas, taco salad, and etc! i bet you will be indecisive of what to choose, because i was. Price incredibly affordable! under $10 for sure per person! in fact my Asada super burrito came out to only $5! Food Asada burrito Oh B O Y, on the first bite did i feel like i went to foodie heaven! the beef was so tendered and marinated well and just saucy good! Next the melted cheese makes sweet love to your lips and sticks to it without trying to let go! baby love me one more time! ok next you can taste the beans, i am not a fan of beans but with the melted cheese, it went well together! Also the rice and sour cream, let me just say bomb.com! very simple burrito with simple ingredients, makes it more authentic than these modern day burritos filled with too much goodness ingredients. Trust me you can go wrong with a burrito from here. very generous with the amount of meat, and size of the burrito, and very tasty too! I took it home and devoured it! the drive was about 5 mins and yes it was still steaming hot wrapped in the foil! Awesome pico de gallo pickled carrots and onion! beware those pickled carrots and onions were super duper hot! because there is habenero! B O Y did i got burnt! just beware but sooo good! love it SPICY! Overall I will be back for some tacos! this dude in front me ordered 3 and it was only a $1 each is what i heard, and yes i will be back for sure! hands down to some bomb.com burrito in the hood! just a note, good food is mostly served in the hood :) Thanks for reading and have a great day! smiles!

    Good size burrito. So good.

The consomme was made from the broth used to slow cook the beef used in the quesabirrias. The quesabirrias were delicious when dipped in the consomme. They were swerved with onions and cilantro on the side, however would have benefited from more veggies. The carne asada nachos were yummy! The nachos contained tomato, onion, cilantro, guacamole, jalapenos, radishes, carne asada, and cheese under fresh tortilla chips. All the ingredients were of high quality and tasted delicious together. Complimentary chicharrones de harina were served with hot sauce. This is the first time I've been to a restaurant that served complimentary chicharrones de harina. Chicharrones de harina are a Mexican snack that are made from fried wheat flour. Service was good as the workers were friendly and polite. They were short staffed so service was slower than if they were properly staffed. It was surprisingly busy around 2pm on a weekday.

The atmosphere is vibrant but still comfortable, and the restaurant itself is spotless and beautifully maintained, which immediately sets it apart. The food? Absolutely incredible. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. The portions are very generous, you definitely get your money's worth, and then some. Every bite had bold, authentic flavor, and nothing felt rushed or low quality. The salsa bar deserves its own mention, it had everything you could want, from classic options to more unique flavors. But what really stood out were the fried jalapeños and onions... those alone are worth coming back for. Seriously addictive. It's rare to find a place that nails everything, food quality, portion size, cleanliness, and atmosphere, but this place does it effortlessly. Easily a 10/10. I'll definitely be coming back again and again.

We didn't come there for that and i think it'll be a long time before I go back. I love the food, but allowing these peddlers to annoy and abuse me customers is not okay. The food is grea, the service is goo-- what a sham.

We totally forgot with everything we have going on that day that it was dine downtown. The menu looked good, but I was already set on getting pozole so we didn't order off the dine downtown menu. Plus, we've also been here plenty of times and love it already. We were really bummed to find out that you get charged for chips and salsa and they don't come out automatically without asking and it also the charge is dependent on how many people are in your party. Also, when the chips came out, there was only one salsa, which hasn't usually been the case. We're not sure if this was just some modifications because of dine downtown happening, but it was a bummer. We ordered the taquitos for an appetizer and those were OK..nothing special. I ordered the pozole verde with chicken, which is my favorite! And my best friend ordered the Carnitas plate. My posole was really good. It came with the side of the status and all the toppings. However, the Carnitas lacked flavor and were a bit dry. Neither of us would probably order that again. We also ordered a couple of blended mockaritas, one strawberry and one mango and both were tasty, but the strawberry would definitely needed another blend as there were a big chunks of ice. I think that because of the craziness with dine downtown..service and food quality we're a bit lacking, but I will always come back to Mayahuel for the pozole verde !

I visited this past Saturday and it was quite busy inside like it always is. The restaurant is large enough to fit a lot of people, so finding a seat isn't an issue. To order, you line up in front of the register and wait until they call you. Once it was my turn, I ordered a Super Burrito with Al Pastor, which is my favorite protein choice there. Usually I order 2 tacos with my burrito but I was saving room for Korean bbq that day! The Super Burrito comes with your choice of meat, rice, beans, salsa, sour cream, guacamole, and cheese. I also ordered a medium pineapple agua fresca, which paired perfectly with my burrito. After ordering, you're handed a number to take to your table so the servers know where to bring your food. As I'm waiting for my food, I helped myself to the self-serve chip bar. The chip bar is my favorite thing about the restaurant besides the food and quick service. I always get loads of both the white and red pickled onions, and some salsa to go with my chips. They offer many sides to choose from so that anyone can customize their meal to their liking. The pickled onions have the perfect level spice and acidity to them which helps with cutting down the greasiness you may get from a burrito. I also like to snack on them for fun too! The food comes out extremely quickly. When I finished placing my order and brought my number to my table, I went to the self-serve bar right after to get some chips. Not even 2-3 minutes later, I came back to my table with my burrito already there! The burrito was absolutely delicious and piping hot. It's the perfect size for me and eating it with the pineapple agua fresca and some chips makes it a perfect meal! Coming to La Favorita Taqueria is always a treat and I appreciate the quick customer service, self-serve bar, and delicious food! I highly recommend the Al pastor as your protein choice and honestly you can't go wrong with anything on their menu!
