This used to Be The Mighty Kong on Stockton Blvd. They had great muffins! Colonial Heights area. You have to park in the neighborhood which might take awhile to find a spot. Colorful Mexican decor. Had burritos which were a little different than what we are used to. A little bit sweet being Burria but very moist. They give you chips & salsa to start which were quite tasty. Had a couple cold beers with our lunch. No outside dining. They have a small bar in the dining area. Met Gabby, the owner who was friendly as she came up to the table & chatted w/us. Will try the enchiladas next time.

Restaurant is located in Abby Square close to UCD! Despite the exterior appearance , the food here is delicious. Their carnitas plate and Birria tacos- chef's kiss!! To top it off, the staff are very friendly!! If you're in the mood for delicious tacos, then you must visit them.

Yelp and Google stated that this place closes at 9. We came at 8 and weren't able to order because the kitchen was closed.. there were people sitting at the bar that watched us stand at the front upon entering. Then we helped ourselves to a booth, waiting for a server to come up and give us further instructions (to order at the front or where to get a menu). It turned out one of the people at the bar worked there and didn't say anything to us the whole time we were there looking around for a staff member. My husband walked up to ask where we can get a menu just for them to say the kitchen was closed... a whole hour before listed closing..? At the very least they could have gave us a heads up right when we walked in. The only reason I gave the extra star was because the exterior actually looked nice with a big mural so that it was easy to find/park next to. There is street parking but no parking lot and as soon as you walk up it smells very strongly like fish- just a heads up. Most likely won't be coming here again because the staff seemed to no have common courtesy to communicate their closure without us having to find and seek them out and ask for a menu. Also the unpredictability about whether they can even cook the food when they are open.

I am ALWAYS passing by the spot and I'm so glad I finally decided to drop in! First off, this is an underrated gem located in the south sac area which is a nice change if aren't a fan of being in midtown/downtown all the time for some drinks and good food! The service was fantastic. The atmosphere was awesome and I loved the art on the walls. I ordered the torta and their house coffee (cafe de la olla). The coffee tasted nostalgic! And they even give you a side of animal crackers! Was definitely a nice change. I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for great Mexican food and drinks.

So happy to see more restaurants opening up on a fairly dead stretch of Stockton Blvd. The premise of this restaurant is Sinaloan-Japanese fusion. I'm so excited this is finally open. It's very heavily Sinaloan with a few Japanese elements, primarily as sushi rolls with a lot of cream cheese. We skipped the sushi and ordered more interesting sounding things, like the octopus sriracha tacos, and the tuna tamarind ceviche. My brother wanted the 1lb of carnitas as well. The octopus sriracha and tuna tamarind were very saucy, but flavorful and delicious. The carnitas were DIY tacos--pretty standard. Our waitress was very attentive and came back often to check on us to make sure things were okay. All in all, happy to have this in the neighborhood. I hope they're able to make it last. I'll be coming back to try more things, along with recommending to friends for a visit.

I looked up this place when I drove by. I decided to try it out on our soup night because they had pozole on the menu. I called in asked a few questions and read some reviews before making my decision. After I decided on the food I placed the order online and waited to pick up since they are 3 minutes away. When I walked in I noticed people singing karaoke. I thought it was a private event only to find out on Sundays they do Karaoke all day ! It was so nice to see people of all ages singing, dancing and having fun. I met with the bartender to pick up my order. It took longer than expected, said to be ready at 6:35p brought out to me by 6:50p. I am glad I waited patiently because the food ALL of it was so fresh, tasty and you can tell they make everything from scratch. I enjoyed all my food every bite ! I will definitely come back to enjoy this gem. I great addition to our oak park community ! Check them out !

I just left Orale for dinner. The color and decor is the first thing that hits you when you walk in. Very beautiful and authentic feel to it. Hakeem the owner was there and I had him all to myself. Needless to say, service was excellent. I ordered the chicken fllautas meal. It was delicious! Service was really fast and the chips and salsas were excellent as well. Best of luck to you Hakeem, I can tell you're a great guy! Mucho exito!

Flautas, Fish Tacos, Carnitas quesa-taco and skinny Cadillac margaritas
    Ilena D.

We had a great experience here on Fathers Day! The flautas and fish tacos were absolute standouts. The fish tacos were fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. We ordered skinny Cadillac margaritas and they were excellent too! Not overly sweet. The house salsa had a little heat, which my husband loved (he's all about the heat). The place is also super family-friendly--when I stepped outside with our baby because he started fussing, the owner kindly invited me back in and told me not to worry. That small gesture meant so much and made us feel truly welcome. Great food, warm hospitality, and a casual, welcoming vibe. Highly recommend!

Amazing chilaquiles - the best I've had in many years. Tangy green sauce with cheesy scrambled eggs and exceptional rice & beans.

Great local spot. Super tasty with great service. A new go-to for Mexican food in the Tahoe Park, Colonial Heights, Oak Park area!

I am so glad that a friend recommended this great spot! As soon as I walked in I knew it would be a hit. The atmosphere is bright and welcoming, with cute floral oil cloth tablecloths, vibrant art and nice natural light. I had a delicious mojito (the best I have ever had! The bartender said he liked his more sour than sweet, and it was perfect! Still sweet, but also more complex than your average mojito) and we split the tuna tostada and the traditional nachos with carnitas. The salsa was nice and zippy. I will definitely be back -- for another mojito and to try the torta!

We've been meaning to come here for a long time. We will definitely be back. Friendly service and good food. My husband had the enchilada plate, I had a taco plate with carnitas. I am already planning on having the pozole next time. They serve breakfast all day, too.

There were a lot of gold accents and beautiful lighting, which absolutely added to the overall vibe of the interior. The entire environment was even calming, peaceful, and comfortable. Sana'a Cafe is in downtown Sacramento, CA…read more I popped on into Sana'a on a weekday for a coffee and something to nosh on. I've been to a Sana Cafe in San Rafael but the first time at this location. They are franchised, independently owned coffeehouses specializing in Yemeni coffee, pasties, and light bites. The staff were direct, cordial and efficient. I asked the cashier what was their best selling drink which he said "everything is good". I believed him. However he had no recommendations. Unsolicited, the other customers in line kindly gave me some. Nice. I choose the Sana'a latte with oat milk. It was creamy and infused with cinnamon, cardamom and ginger. Luved it. Delicious. Drinking this, put me in the zone. I also ordered a ground beef fatayer and baklava. The fatayer was a savory, handheld meat pie with a yeasty dough exterior. The meat was on the dry side but by golly it had flavor. Spiced up! Not hot heat level but packed with flavor. The baklava was a tiny teeny size which surprised me and left me wanting more because it was darn tasty . They also have dessert pastries which looked all so prettily yummy behind the glass counter. Most are made with milk of some sort though. For the lactose intolerant folks, I recommend bringing a lactaid pill and going for it. The interior decor is striking. Bold gold and black colored furniture and opulent chandelier lighting fixtures dominate the room. Fancy. I'm picking up regal, posh vibes. The design aesthetics are similar in all Sana's Cafe. Plus this location is open 6am-midnight everyday. Probably one of the only urban downtown coffee houses open that late for caffeinated night owls. The cafe is a few blocks down K street from DOCO. I don't know how it's like in this area after the sun sets. Just sayin.

My husband wanted the Estelle Noisette and although it was good, it was my least favorite of the three. It had pleasant nutty flavors but it was a little too rich for me. In the end, the real standout was the Blueberry Choux. The cream was light and fluffy and it had just the right amount of blueberry flavor. I really liked the texture of the pastry too and how it complimented the fluffy cream. I would definitely order that one again and highly recommend it. The pastries are definitely on the pricey side, but the quality and presentation justify the cost. The interior of the shop was nice and definitely reminded me of patisseries in France. There was plenty of seating available inside but I took my order to go. I'm really glad I finally got to give them a try and while not every item was a home run for me, the Blueberry Choux alone made the visit worthwhile.
