We got the birria tacos and battered fish tacos. The battered fish tacos were yummy! The birria was a bit bland. Margarita was really good. The service was a little slow but when we went they were newly opened so they were working out the logistics.

This used to Be The Mighty Kong on Stockton Blvd. They had great muffins! Colonial Heights area. You have to park in the neighborhood which might take awhile to find a spot. Colorful Mexican decor. Had burritos which were a little different than what we are used to. A little bit sweet being Burria but very moist. They give you chips & salsa to start which were quite tasty. Had a couple cold beers with our lunch. No outside dining. They have a small bar in the dining area. Met Gabby, the owner who was friendly as she came up to the table & chatted w/us. Will try the enchiladas next time.

Restaurant is located in Abby Square close to UCD! Despite the exterior appearance , the food here is delicious. Their carnitas plate and Birria tacos- chef's kiss!! To top it off, the staff are very friendly!! If you're in the mood for delicious tacos, then you must visit them.

Yelp and Google stated that this place closes at 9. We came at 8 and weren't able to order because the kitchen was closed.. there were people sitting at the bar that watched us stand at the front upon entering. Then we helped ourselves to a booth, waiting for a server to come up and give us further instructions (to order at the front or where to get a menu). It turned out one of the people at the bar worked there and didn't say anything to us the whole time we were there looking around for a staff member. My husband walked up to ask where we can get a menu just for them to say the kitchen was closed... a whole hour before listed closing..? At the very least they could have gave us a heads up right when we walked in. The only reason I gave the extra star was because the exterior actually looked nice with a big mural so that it was easy to find/park next to. There is street parking but no parking lot and as soon as you walk up it smells very strongly like fish- just a heads up. Most likely won't be coming here again because the staff seemed to no have common courtesy to communicate their closure without us having to find and seek them out and ask for a menu. Also the unpredictability about whether they can even cook the food when they are open.

Great fried fish tacos and service! We were surprised to be greeted with not only chips and salsa but also very tasty guacamole. Great experience, will return!

I am ALWAYS passing by the spot and I'm so glad I finally decided to drop in! First off, this is an underrated gem located in the south sac area which is a nice change if aren't a fan of being in midtown/downtown all the time for some drinks and good food! The service was fantastic. The atmosphere was awesome and I loved the art on the walls. I ordered the torta and their house coffee (cafe de la olla). The coffee tasted nostalgic! And they even give you a side of animal crackers! Was definitely a nice change. I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for great Mexican food and drinks.

So happy to see more restaurants opening up on a fairly dead stretch of Stockton Blvd. The premise of this restaurant is Sinaloan-Japanese fusion. I'm so excited this is finally open. It's very heavily Sinaloan with a few Japanese elements, primarily as sushi rolls with a lot of cream cheese. We skipped the sushi and ordered more interesting sounding things, like the octopus sriracha tacos, and the tuna tamarind ceviche. My brother wanted the 1lb of carnitas as well. The octopus sriracha and tuna tamarind were very saucy, but flavorful and delicious. The carnitas were DIY tacos--pretty standard. Our waitress was very attentive and came back often to check on us to make sure things were okay. All in all, happy to have this in the neighborhood. I hope they're able to make it last. I'll be coming back to try more things, along with recommending to friends for a visit.

I looked up this place when I drove by. I decided to try it out on our soup night because they had pozole on the menu. I called in asked a few questions and read some reviews before making my decision. After I decided on the food I placed the order online and waited to pick up since they are 3 minutes away. When I walked in I noticed people singing karaoke. I thought it was a private event only to find out on Sundays they do Karaoke all day ! It was so nice to see people of all ages singing, dancing and having fun. I met with the bartender to pick up my order. It took longer than expected, said to be ready at 6:35p brought out to me by 6:50p. I am glad I waited patiently because the food ALL of it was so fresh, tasty and you can tell they make everything from scratch. I enjoyed all my food every bite ! I will definitely come back to enjoy this gem. I great addition to our oak park community ! Check them out !

I just left Orale for dinner. The color and decor is the first thing that hits you when you walk in. Very beautiful and authentic feel to it. Hakeem the owner was there and I had him all to myself. Needless to say, service was excellent. I ordered the chicken fllautas meal. It was delicious! Service was really fast and the chips and salsas were excellent as well. Best of luck to you Hakeem, I can tell you're a great guy! Mucho exito!

Flautas, Fish Tacos, Carnitas quesa-taco and skinny Cadillac margaritas
    Ilena D.

We had a great experience here on Fathers Day! The flautas and fish tacos were absolute standouts. The fish tacos were fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. We ordered skinny Cadillac margaritas and they were excellent too! Not overly sweet. The house salsa had a little heat, which my husband loved (he's all about the heat). The place is also super family-friendly--when I stepped outside with our baby because he started fussing, the owner kindly invited me back in and told me not to worry. That small gesture meant so much and made us feel truly welcome. Great food, warm hospitality, and a casual, welcoming vibe. Highly recommend!

We got the "special" buy one pound get the next pound free so we did shrimp. We got shrimp, sausage, corn, potatoes, and dungeness crab with the special blend in one bag. The hook and reel special blend was honestly pretty gross it was sweet, Smokey and not very buttery or salty at all. We asked for lemon pepper and extra butter to put inside(which was an extra charge) it made it a little better but I've definitely had better elsewhere. The garlic noodles were really good they had a soy sauce flavor, garlicky and cheesy. The price was pretty expensive considering I've spent $30 less elsewhere. Here at hook & reel I spent $96 The service was good. She was very kind and helpful but also wasn't very attentive. The restaurant and the bathrooms were very clean. Overall I wouldn't come back and I recommend going to Captain crab in Elk Grove it is so much better tasting and cheaper!!

Shout out for West Sacramento…read more.. Did you know that right in West Sacramento there is a seafood stand selling fresh sustainable caught hook n line fish plucked from the Bodega Bay? Well know you do... Ferrari Fisheries has a stand that sells black cod, ling cod, red snapper which all are year round catches; and seasonal Dungeness crab and salmon. When they have a fresh caught batch; they text their customers what is available catch, and time & date. To get their text notifications; you can sign up on their website. I was fortunate enough to get to their stand early enough on a notification day to buy a couple of Dungeness crabs. The crabs were live, priced at $11/pound. Awesome price! When you get to the stand, there are two lines. The first line you want to get into is the one nearest the big containers where the fish on ice or crabs are kept. If you want your fish filleted, let them know. It is a complimentary service. Then you head into the other line to pay. They take cash and card, I'm not sure about other payment types. Keep in mind, the inventory sells quickly especially the seasonal items. Folks queue up earlier than the opening time stated in the texts. The start time was 10am; I got there at 10:20 am. They sold out as I was leaving the stand. Anthony (owner and fishing captain), his wife, and team are terrific. They all were helpful and had the best attitudes. Welcoming. I'm sure they answer the same questions over and over. But when talking with each customer, they were engaged and provided individual attention. Top notch customer service!

Right when you walk in, everyone was friendly and welcoming. It was a busy Saturday evening, but we were seated pretty quickly. Our waitress was also so friendly, and our food came out FAST and piping hot! In our past experiences at other crab boil restaurants, it can take forever just to get a table, let alone get your food. So we really appreciated how quickly everything came out here! Now, THE FOOD! My hubby and I both got the Dungeness crab with the mild Cajun & garlic butter seasoning. It came with potatoes and corn, and we also added a side of rice and the Cajun fries. The seasoning was SO good! It had plenty of flavor without being overly salty. The crab was delicious and cooked perfectly. And those Cajun fries?! They were super crispy and seasoned to perfection! The only thing I would have changed was that we weren't given any crab crackers or tools to help us get into the crab. We actually thought they didn't have any at first. We later asked and were provided with some, but it would have been nice if they were offered or brought out with our gloves and bibs since we ordered crab. Other than that, I really enjoyed our experience! I especially loved that the restaurant has a more relaxed atmosphere compared to some other crab boil spots. The seats were comfortable, the music wasn't extremely loud, and it still had a fun vibe while being quiet enough for us to actually have a conversation. Overall, I'm giving Captain Crab a 10/10! We'll definitely be back!

10 Years of Marriage & a Great Family Dinner!…read more Last night, my wife Sokny and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary with our family, and we couldn't have asked for a better evening! We had dinner at Seafood House Quan Oc, and everyone definitely came hungry! Sokny and our daughter Skylie went with the seafood boil, and it was excellent! The seafood came with a delicious curry-style sauce that had so much flavor. Definitely one of the highlights of the meal! Our niece Maddie and youngest daughter Laila enjoyed the kids' chicken wings and fries, and Maddie also really liked the eggrolls. We shared an appetizer of crab cheese wontons, which were another hit. My mom had the garlic noodles, while I went with the fish fillet with rice and salad -- and it was all great! For drinks, Skylie had a Thai tea, while Sokny tried a Black Superman and a lemon drop. The lemon drop was unfortunately more lemonade than vodka, but hey... we still had a good laugh about it! Overall, the food was fantastic, but what made the night special was simply being together as a family. 10 years of marriage, lots of memories, and many more to come. Thank you to my beautiful wife for sharing this journey with me. I love you, Sokny!

They will not make any changes for you there if you try to apply logic. Guess you have to pretend to walk in the door to order or call in while you're sitting down to place the order to-go to avoid it being part of the total bill. Hopefully they change that system because why would you charge to-go orders as part of the dine-in to rack up the gratuity tip for an under par service!? When I questioned the server how does it make sense and she said yes we can cancel the order and call it in rather than just taking the initiative to separate the orders. Make it make sense or maybe I'm just over reacting but it does seem like a way to get more money out of folks. Receipt name said nana and she had a bit of an attitude. Service was low, when greeted we were greeted promptly but there were no smiles from anyone. I hope they all do enjoy working there! We started with one server and then it jumped to another server which I did see someone else experienced also, so maybe this is the norm for the location? This was many of our groups first time here and Alex started of same way with a slight smile, but he took the time to understand our confusion and began to lighten up once he understood our order and we understood the restaurant and he was a great waiter for the evening since. Thank you for putting up with our confusion! Food- chicken wings I would come back for they are definitely my top 3 I've had from a restaurant. Myself personally I am actually not a big fan with seafood boils because I do not care for all that seasoning, so coming I was quite worried I wouldn't eat anything. Well I caved in to try it with the crawdads, and to my surprise, it is definitely lightly seasoned so I did end up liking it. So, if you do truly like a seafood boil with seasonings and kick, I wouldn't recommend this place as a go to for others, but for myself if I have a craving I will grab my crawdads here. Overall the place is crowded and busy, it's in a busy shopping center. There are a lot of people working here at one time, it just feels that no one is thrilled to work there. We went towards their late shift to closing and to be quite honest I got understand that why they may have that feeling. The manager pulled out flashlights while we were eating to inspect the window cleanliness? Great job with the cleaning, but also not the right time. Also, micro managing the team's cleaning while standing at the counter and pointing at places they are missing (we should not see the from our seats). She definitely needs to work on Leadership, not manager, skillsets, and have her participate and guide team members rather then making it look as if she is looking down on her team. This can change the atmosphere for team engagement, so the greetings are more welcoming and engaging to customers.

One of our guests said he enjoyed his steak and scallops entree. Another guest had the fish and chips which he said was good. Next guest ordered an all steak meal which she said she enjoyed. I ordered the skinny margarita, which was not good and I did not continue to drink after the first few sips. I was really excited to order the lobster, as I hadn't had lobster in quite some time. It looked amazing when it arrived, but it was, sadly, overcooked, very difficult to cut and I gave up after a bite. The mashed potatoes and vegetables that accompanied it were good. For $73.00, however, I was greatly disappointed. Our server was hit or miss, and she did not check back on us to ask about our meals which was sadly unexpected. The location is very nice. We took a little stroll after dinner outside by the river. I perused some of the reviews and was astounded at one in particular. This patron gave her entire experience a ONE star because she chose to eat OUTSIDE, at a restaurant on A RIVER, and even though her party found the food and service to be divine, she insulted the restaurant with a one star review because she claimed her party was swarmed throughout their meal by mosquitoes. Mosquitoes that were OUTSIDE! Imagine! (Insert eye roll here!). Unbelievable! And soooo ridiculous! Why not ask to be moved inside when this "overwhelming swarm" first overcame your table and viciously attacked you? And yet this reviewer stayed outside and kept enduring the "mosquito monsoon". Good grief. How in the heck is the restaurant, which AGAIN, is located ON A RIVER, supposed to control those mosquitoes (which plague us ALL when we are outside in warmer weather)? And why claim to have suffered through your meal by these swarms of mosquitoes and not even think to ask to be moved inside? Anyway, it was sad to read such a ridiculous review. About mosquitoes being outside. On a river. Which Scott's surely cannot be held responsible for! Outrageous!

Came for a bday dinner - made reservations on Open Table and got sat relatively quickly. Free bread and butter. Butter was soft which was very much appreciated. Bread was not warm but still fine. 5/5 Boston clam chowder. Got a bowl and split with a friend. Really creamy with decent clam and potatoes. 5/5 field greens salad. The dressing is light, the cheese is delicious. The pecans are sweet and crunchy. One of my favorite salads ever. Not sure why it's so delicious! 4/5 crab cakes. Small portions but the cakes were flaky and the crispy fried scallions were so good I added to everything. Server was King, he was excellent, taking care of all our needs and so polite. He offered to split our entrees for us when we were having a hard time deciding. 3/5 halibut was sadly not very well flavored. 3.5/5 the ribeye wasn't as good as previous times. A bit chewy and flat. 4.5/5 garlic mashed potatoes with the entree didn't taste very garlicky so we asked the server to double check it was garlic. He came out with a giant replacement serving for us which was awesome and perfect. He indicated the chef added extra garlic which was exactly what we needed. We got a free dessert for our bday girl. She got the mixed berry cobbler complete with a candle and I got a crème brulee. 4/5 crème brulee, one of the better desserts I've had there. We also got a free champagne bottle for her bday l which was a nice touch. Inside was dim and dark but always feels very private. The entrees were less tasty than in prior visits which was a bit disappointing but prior visits were much better than expected so the bar may have been set too high. Hoping the food will be back on point next time, but overall still a solid visit.

It's a decently sized restaurant capable of accommodating at least 60 people. When we arrived, there was already a group of at least 20 people in the rear, and they were able to accommodate our group of 6 children and 6 adults. Although there was a bit of a wait for the food because they were short staffed, we had the happy hour menu to choose deals from and entertainment from the large group's karaoke to keep us busy in the meantime. When the food came out, I was surprised to find such tasty, and, large crawfish and shrimp on our table! The food was piping hot and the portions nice and big. I especially loved that the seafood came out in metal bowls instead of the plastic bags every other boil place serves their boils in. Extra points to them for being environmentally friendly! After a few bottles of soju, our group decided to partake in the free karaoke too, and we had a great time belting our hearts out. All in all, we loved the fair prices, delicious food, kid and family environment, and will definitely be back the next time we're in town. Thanks for the awesome night, Crab City!
