My wife and I just want good quality and value with some sincere & kind service; that's all. Nothing fancy and special treatment necessary, just good old fashioned hospitality and good food. We believe we have found it this Sunday afternoon! We found them on the reviews and it looked promising so we decided to give them a try. The moment we walked in, we could tell Taco El Patron was different. The restaurant was bright, clean and very inviting with their tastefully decorated walls to their comfortable seating & table arrangement. We were greeted by a very pleasant waitress named Ashley and she and Veronica made us feel at home from the time we let them know it was our first visit to the time we left feeling high satisfied by the awesome food and first-class service. The menu was simple but gave diners many different ways to customize their food - that was a big deal to us. The chips and chicharron were delightful with their amazing bottles of superb salsas! My wife went with the asada (steak) and I couldn't decide so I asked Ashley to bring me ALL six of the selections from the special tacos section and that's what she did with a giggle saying no one has ordered all them, so they even took a photo of that massive plate of tacos and all the tasty sides! I felt like I hit the taco lottery when the platter came out and because the service was just as amazing and outstanding as the food. I had a wonderful time trying each one of the expertly crafted tacos and was so impressed with each and every bite. The prices are fair & reasonable and that's honestly a bonus since it's hard to find value for your hard earned money these days. My wife and I felt like our money was well spent and our patronage was very much appreciated. With that being said, you and your family should not waste anymore time with other trendy restaurants (you know who they are) and come to Tacos El Patron where you will hit the taco lottery like I did with amazing generous homemade style food served by a staff that treats you like family. Every bite was balanced and packed with flavor. Nothing was dry or bland. I also got an asada taco con todo (salsa, onions, cilantro, guacamole (and of course I added cheese ). Simple ingredients, but when it's done right like this, you really don't need much else. The meat truly speaks for itself. What really stood out to me was that this tasted like true Tijuana-style flavor, not heavy Tex-Mex. You can absolutely taste the difference. Customer service was great. The staff was friendly, efficient, and made the ordering process smooth. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained, which I always appreciate. It made the overall experience even better. Fortunately the truck was still operating and the lady inside took my order with a smile as I placed an order for 6 tacos (2 pastor, 2 fajita, 1 chicken, 1 chicharron). Price came to about $15. The tacos were prepared quick and piping hot which was much needed since I was getting chills from the pouring rain. The pastor is my favorite and surprisingly, I enjoyed the chicharron. Hard to go wrong with any specific protein here as they are all packed with seasoning and flavor from the fats; plus very tender. The tacos come with grilled onions, a healthy garnishing of onions/cilantro, and some limes for flavor. One of the more satisfying taco meals I had in my car as I ate while watching the rain pour. There was one person ahead of us and we started getting food before her which I thought was weird. However, for us it was a delicious experience. The food tasted great and the salsas were nice and spicy. It's fun eating outside underneath the canopy however, sometimes you can get a strong wind and you'll smell at the gas station isn't too far away. We ended up buying drinks inside the gas station since were using that place to wash our hands. I'd recommend going to this place however, just be aware that it sounds like some people were getting some poor experiences.
