The food here is so good! I was genuinely so surprised. Usually I feel like vegan food can look good but then lacks in flavor, however, that is not the case with Andaluz. The food is so flavorful and delicious! I actually couldn't believe it was vegan. I got the flautas and elotes and my friend got the street tacos. We'll definitely be back.

I had the quesabirria with jackfruit and I was blown away at how tasty it was. As a Mexican, it's hard for me to find a spot where the rice reminds me home. This rice is very flavorful with the right amount of salt, which is a huge win for me. The Mexican clay plates also make it a very charming experience. Service was excellent and swift.

Amazing vegan Mexican food! Everything is vegan. I got the quesabirria taco plate and my husband got the Andaluz taco plate. We also got nachos as an appetizer. Portions are very nice and the flavor is absolutely amazing. The jackfruit protein is a MUST.

Y'all! This place is fabulous! If you like vegan TexMex or want to cut inflammatory animal products from your diet, you gotta try this place. I failed to snap pics of food, but the chips and salsa were fabulous! The salsa was not the typical red stuff. It was warm as were the chips. Just made and not greasy. We had the nachos! I liked them better than any TexMex. Excellent flavors and fresh. The service was stellar. Let's talk about location. To be honest, it looks scary because it's in a former tax service place that still has the sign up and it's in a sketchy strip center. My son assured me it would be great because he'd been there. Since he was treating me, I agreed to go. Once inside, all was great. There were other patrons and when we left the place was full. I'm telling you, it is the best vegan food ever. I've been to many restaurants and will definitely go back. I even commented that the food compared to chipotle makes chipotle seem processed (does that make sense?). I have the greatest admiration for self starters who are trying to make it in this town. Some are good and some are not. This was great and I am thrilled to know about it. I hope you will give it a try.

My wife and I who are vegan are always on the lookout for great vegan places. We decided to go here after work and were floored! This was literally the best Mexican food we have ever had. I had the street tacos with carnitas and chorizo. The carnitas were unbelievably delicious! It was so perfectly seasoned and I could easily have had a dozen more if I was hungrier. They also provided a super tasty sauce that we drizzled over everything. My wife had the quesabirria, which was also amazing. After our first bite we both immediately looked at each other with wide eyes, knowing this was the best food we've ever tried in all of Houston. This restaurant deserves more visitors. I plan on bringing everyone I know to this place.

my absolute favorite hidden gem in north houston! every time i try something new from here i enjoy it. I also tried the cauliflower wings with hot lemon pepper and they were so good! the service is a bit slow since it is just one person making the food but it is worth the wait every time, and they are so nice. the nachos were very loaded with housemade chips and the vegan queso was creamy. I loved the flavor of the beans and potatoes (my choice of protein). already craving my next visit :)

I don't even desire to eat anywhere else, for multiple reasons! The food: fresh, authentic, flavorful. The homemade chips and salsa were perfect as I waited for my food. I had the Enchi-Flautas which was basically a crispy enchilada. It was perfection! I also had the appetizer Los Elotes that did not disappoint either. The service: I was helped by a lovely young woman that very well could have been the owner. When she answered my questions about the food, she spoke with passion. You could tell she believes in the food that they make. She made me feel at home & checked to make sure I was good multiple times throughout my visit. The ambiance: 5/5. Clean. Comforting. Great music. Not too bright lights, not too dark. This isn't your average Mexican food spot. Don't be fooled by the vegan label either. This food is PHENOMENAL. Quite honestly the best prepared Mexican food at a restaurant I've ever had.

I've been coming here since before their truck and I absolutely LOVE this place! Staff is so friendly and accommodate everything to your liking. Truly a vegan gem. The jackfruit is my go to!

Food here was absolutely amazing my boyfriend and I came here for dinner one day; I got the best plate of enchiladas I've ever had in my life and he got vegan barbacoa nachos which were also absolutely fantastic. The employees were very kind to us and I felt very welcomed. There's something about that authentic Mexican touch that makes the experience that much better. Definitely going to be coming back

    GORDITAS PLATE

my girlfriend and I were on a road trip from Florida to California and we were on the last leg of our 2nd day on the road. Both of us being vegan, it's been very hard to get good vegan eats throughout the trip but everything changed when we stopped here. Upon entering the restaurant the vibes were immaculate, a warm cozy almost grandmas house type of feel. We were warmly greeted even though they were about to close. We ordered the Gordita Plate, the Sope Plate, an order of elotes and a watermelon agua fresca. I was so hungry I had to eat as soon as we got in the car. The first bite of my gorditas almost made me cry from how good it was. I'm from LA where really good vegan mexican food is pretty easy to come about, but this place blew every place in LA out of the water. We finished our meal at our hotel and I'm already sad that I won't have access to this spot anymore. I would probably make a trip to Houston just to have a meal from this establishment again. I love you guys!!!! Thank you for being there during an extremely difficult vegan trip :')

Andaluz has some wonderfully delicious vegan food! I arrived at the location, and the food truck was operating out of a temporary trailer without a sign. I learned that they are in between locations, moving into another brick & mortar in a couple of weeks. I ordered the burrito with chicharron, along with chips and queso, and my mom ordered the street tacos with chicharron. All of the food was wonderful! Fresh and seasoned well. Even my omnivorous mother approved of her tacos! The salsas were SO GOOD, especially the spicy green one that came with my burrito. The queso tasted like a whole foods plant based queso and was very tasty. I'd love to try more menu items next time I am in the area. The gentleman who prepared my food was super nice, as was the woman to brought the food out to me. Very kind staff!

They had the same menu items and I noticed the prices increased since I last been. The cashier was a bit timid, he talked so low but he was as helpful as he could be. The ambiance is exactly the same. It's intimate and small, cool for a private or solo outing. I would say the music was up a bit louder than expected but it was cool. Now shall we????? The food. Cali ($13) : 4/10 - simply put. No flavor. Fried well though. Not the same. Lil Red BBQ ($12) - 8/10 - The jackfruit could've been seasoned more but the texture was great. My girlfriend liked how soft the bread was also. The BBQ was also good. Notyo Salad ($13) -8.5/10 - This was the most consistent item on the menu. The only thing I can say about it was that it needed more sauce to cover the amount of arugula and micro greens that came on it. But y'all ITS FLAVORFUL. The lime flavor with the avocado. It's MUAAAAHHHHH :* Sweet Potato Fries ($3/each) - 8.5/10 - Fried well. Good portion for price. Left us feeling light. My rating... this is an affordable and great health spot. He also made sure he gave me the biggest piece of cake Shoutout to him for that!!!! Now what y'all are really waiting for.... The food review. We ordered: Shroom Tacos (3) - 8.5/10 because they skimpy. It came with chopped white onions and limes on the side. The problem was there was an upcharge for oyster mushrooms but wasn't filled up with the mushrooms. I shouldn't bite into a taco and end up with just tortilla. And the limes were dry. However, the flavor of the tacos were A1. Chicken Chikn Alfredo sub Oyster Mushrooms- 7.5/10 because NO EXPLOSION OF FLAVOR. It was INSIPID. However, the noodles were cooked well, sauce was saucin' and they didn't skimp on the mushrooms in this dish. BUT they could've gave more pasta as a whole, it really wasn't much in there. Philly Steak Sub sub Oyster Mushrooms with KORNY SAUCE- 7/10. It lacked flavor AND there was barely enough mushrooms for how big the sandwich bread was. There was plenty onions and peppers which were cooked well but that's not what we were looking forward to. In addition, we couldn't even tell whether there was KORNY sauce added to it or not. Cookies and Cream Milkshake- 7/10. It was pretty good. Nothing special. Had a good consistency and flavor. German Chocolate Cake- 5.5/10. The cake itself was cooked well and really good. The icing which was coconut and something else wasn't very appetizing or appealing nor was it sweet. It was cold but we prefer our cakes room temperature. Overall, we would go back for the shroom tacos and probably try something else. They did have a very extensive menu. So I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others to try for themselves.

It's an older building with plenty of character. The person who took our order was very friendly and offered great recommendations. A family member bought a delicious strawberry cake for my birthday a few years back, and that was my first introduction to Crumbville. The owner's decision to offer vegan and gluten free desserts was a smart decision, but she also offers regular baked goods. During my first visit recently, I purchased a strawberry cupcake, which had a lime-flavored cookie base. It was sublime and reminded me so much of the birthday cake from years ago. Service was great here. Overall, I just love this place. It makes me smile, and I will be very sad to see it go.
