We checked out the menu. My bonus son ordered the chicken quesadilla and I ordered the breakfast chicken quesadilla. Both were only $10.99. However the breakfast also came with eggs and potatoes inside, I considered this a great deal. Both were packed full of fresh grilled chicken that they cooked fresh in front of you. And they were delish. The seats were comfortable. Restaurant clean and had Spanish music playing in the background. It was our first time here. And had a great experience. They seem to know the regulars well and have quite the community built up. I love that in a local shop. I had chorizo and eggs and mom had breakfast tacos. We cleaned our plates! The only rec would be different tortillas. The ones we were served were a little thick for my taste. I did not notice if they were making them fresh but will take note next time. My gosh. I will start like that. I came into Sierra Madre expecting some good tacos. Notice - I said good. Being in the middle of the Spring / Cypress area -- I didn't expect to be wowed. I asked the lady at the counter what she recommended. She listed a few things from the menu. I Took her advice and ordered the number 6 - which was street tacos. While I waited for my food to be prepared I visited the salsa bar. You have many options to choose from. Near the counter there is also a crockpot with temperature hot salsa. I loaded up. A few minutes later my tacos arrive. They looked very promising. After I took my first bite I realized that things just got real. The food here is the real deal. From the perfectly cooked meat to the sautéed onions to the double corn tortillas - these were the best street tacos I've had anywhere up here. If I were bilingual I would say that these tacos are the bomb -- in Spanish. Now that I have tried their lunch I am anxious to return to try breakfast. I will definitely be back!!! read more

Summary- Amazing tacos, great salsa's at this kinda divey shop. You order at the counter then sit down and they bring out the food. Food- 5 Stars The chips and salsa are self serve and excellent. There was a "main" salsa at the chip station, and a hot one as well. Both were awesome, I actually liked mixing them 50/50 best. There is also a ginormus salsa bar off to the side that has a large selection of salsa's/toppings like Pico and Tomatillo some other ones I couldn't ID but were awesome. We got a order of Tacos de Trompo (pork al pastor and onions) and Tacos de Pollo (essentially Fajitas). Both were fantastic through and through. The pork was flavorful and cooked well without being dry, the onions were awesome. These little corn tortillas with the pork, onions, and some of their pico were straight up heaven. The Tacos de Pollo were also excellent. Service- 4 Stars Nice and helpful. Atmosphere- 4 Stars Could be a little bit cleaner, but it's perfectly nice inside. They also need to find a better layout/spot for the cold salsa bar, it's awkward when busy. Value- 5 Stars Lots of great food for short $. read more
