I got the kids meal,Quesidida and rice because I just wanted a Taco and was told you had to buy more than one thing. I payed cash and did not like that. Last summer ,I did purchase one Taco.The Quesidida was greasy,and the cheese was white and stringy. The store was clean,the cashier was polite. Yasssss! This is the stuff! Homemade everything! The menu is small but powerful. My friend and I ordered the mushroom, spinach quesadilla. I don't like corn tortillas and have never had a quesadilla on one, but I'd chose this way over anything! It was a homemade, perfectly fluffy so delicious piece of art. The spinach was freshly wilted and the mushrooms were flavorful! The beans were vegetarian! Which is hard to come by. All the sauces were spoon to your mouth worthy. Love and pride can be tasted in someone's cooking along with talent. There is plenty of all three in this modest, strip mall location restaurant. The portions are satisfying and more important, the food satisfied a very real part of your stomach that wants to feel like someone actually took personal care and interest in making something worth feeding to another. The prices are reasonable and if you think paying cash is inconvenient, just remember that spending more money on less flavorful, healthy and happily made food with a credit card is even more inconvenient to your well being. The compromise being made in how you pay is more than compensated for with the reasonable cost and outstanding satisfaction of the foods. I can't say enough good things about the quality of the food I just had for dinner but I can say it will be my most favorite new go-to place for Mexican food. read more

I love love love this little spot! It's a family owned mother and daughter ran operation. Mom must do all the cooking because I never get to see her. However, the daughter is very personable and charming. She's fluent in Spanish and English so do not be alarmed when you call and get a Spanish-spoken greeting, just continue to speak English and she will join in. I normally go for tacos during a quick lunch break, which come in many different meat choices and your choice of toppings. I have also tried their burritos which are perfectly packed and beautifully rolled to perfection. I can appreciate that I hate a sloppy messy burrito. Also, they always have a choice of at least three fresh squeezed fruit juices normally including watermelon (my favorite) which is so so good... Stopped in for a quick bite on my way to a meeting. Suspicious of stripmall Mexican food, I was understandably prepared to be underwhelmed. So wrong, I was. True, not necessarily a fine dining destination, but holy cow! Such wonderful, tasty, soft-yet-crunchy, fresh tortillas stuffed with flavorful ingredients. Not usually a big salsa fan, but I killed that chips & salsa like it was my job. Not super spicy on my delicate palate, but instead, garlic-forward with just a trace of heat. Green salsa served with my zucchini blossom quesadilla was zippier, but I had my trusty tamarindo drink to wash it down. Refried beans & rice were thoughtfully prepared, not just filler. Delightful. The server at the counter was friendly and helpful. She correctly profiled my pasty bulk as non-Spanish speaking and assisted me with a vegetarian-friendly menu selection. I went here with 2 of my friends and the place was really nice. I'm afraid it was cash only, but prices were low to make up for this. The product is awesome and the service is warm and welcoming. I ordered the chicken quesadilla which was delicious and my buddy enjoyed his burrito. The coke was authentic and they had a variety of Harritos. read more

Small place located on Maryland Ave, in the shopping center next to the Deerhead Hotdogs. They have a little dining area and they only take cash, so make sure you bring some. The menu is cantina style authentic Mexican. I ordered a spicy chicken burrito and a steak taco. After seeing the burrito I wish that I didn't get the taco. The burrito was huge and filled with rice, beans, chicken, onions and cilantro. It came with some salsa verde, which had a nice little kick to it. The burrito had a good flavor and was seasoned well. The rice was nice and fluffy. The cilantro and onions were fresh. I really enjoyed the burrito and would recommend for lunch or for a quick dinner on your way home. read more

This restaurant opened a week ago, replacing La Salsa which closed unexpectedly. The menu is very limited right now, but that's because they're trying to drum up more business before expanding it. That said, what I had was REALLY tasty. Truly authentic, unlike the other Mexican trash food in the Wilmington area. AND the refried beans are made with lard -- like I said, authentic! They also make the corn tortillas. Yeah, baby! Ooh, and best of all, they have fresh tamales that have the perfect balance of meat and salsa, and the masa is perfectly seasoned as well! Can't wait until they expand their menu! I'm looking forward to my next trip. read more
