I lived in Southern California for two and a half decades, and have had a tough time finding delicious and authentic Mexican food on the East Coast. Three Amigos checks all of the boxes. I wish I lived closer to Three Amigos, because my family would become "regulars". The food was amazing, perfectly seasoned, and generously portioned. I even asked the waitress what region of Mexico was the food from and she just said she wasn't sure because the owner is Colombian. I've had Colombian food and this didn't taste like it either except for the rice. Sorry but Mexican rice is better. My daughter ordered an enchilada red sauce dish and got something that tasted and looked like molè. The restaurant has a few tables and a bar side to the back. On the street parking. Everything I have eaten has been very tasty. They offer a large menu with very authentic tasting food. Vegetarian dishes are a welcome option. Everything is seasoned to perfection, flavorful without being salty. The best guacamole I have ever had !! Drinks are artistically crafted and reasonably priced. Went here earlier today; the food was good, and so was the atmosphere. Unfortunately, there was only one server for the inside, outside, and bar areas, but she did well for having very little help. Not somewhere your gonna find if your just out for a Sunday drive. Love the food! I get the shrimp tacos and they're so yummy. The shrimp is not over cooked like you get at some places where it's rubbery. The salsa is fresh and the guacamole is very good, not too spicy. The service is ver friendly. The street tacos are simply seasoned meat, chicken or fish with chopped onion and cilantro on soft corn tortillas, served individually or del Chef (three tacos with rice and beans). I usually go for the tacos, but it's not just a taco joint --- they have a full menu including tortas, burritos, bowls, enchiladas, nachos and wings. The owner came out and talked to us about what we were interested in trying, explained the sauces to me, and overall just made the delicious food that much better. Bought 3 carnitas street tacos. Didn't really know what a "street taco" was, just the beef and the taco. Beef was nicely seasoned on an nice soft taco. Happened to have tomatoes, cheese, and lettuce in the house so I dressed up to a better taco. Very nice now. chips and salsa good. Will order regular tacos next time. First time stopping in for a late lunch. The inside decor was warm and welcoming. I ordered to go, but I will be back to dine in. Everything was clean and cozy. I ordered some tacos, both fish and chicken. They were made fresh, delivered delicious flavor and came with three sauces. I also had the wings, which were a perfect appetizer for the tacos.
