Food is delicious! Carne asada and Adobada tacos are what I've had and did not disappoint! The salsa bar offers delicious salsas and sides. Service is fast, and friendly. I am deducting a star because the restaurant is always hot (I get it, meat is cooking, etc) but it seems very hot almost like the AC is not on. Seating is almost impossible, but that speaks to their delicious food. All in all I will return but those are my only gripes. read more

Honestly , I stopped after seeing this spot go viral . Tried they'd fish & shrimp tacos and their endless sauce & toppings bar self serve station. This was my first time here at Tacos El Callejon in Colton, CA, and I was very excited due to the good Yelp Reviews and when I went on a Friday night the place was popping and very busy. Unfortunately, the food here is so bad and my first choice was to Del Taco because when you go there you don't have any high expectations. My wallet is now $50 lighter SMDH. 4/5 Jamaica Agua Fresca not too bad. It was on point, but I like mine with more tart. 1/5 All of their salsas are too salty not to my liking, especially their cilantro salsa, which was way too salty WTH. 2/5 2 chicken tacos Although the tortilla was OK, the chicken had an OK grilled flavor, it was bland and flavorless. 1/5 Fish burrito. They got a huge piece of fish, but it was too oily flavor and soggy and the burrito itself was bland and flavorless. It would have been better without the beans and put some tarter slaw. I took only a couple of bites and threw it all away, how sad. 1/5 Carne A$$ada burrito was so oily, the carne A$$ada had a nice grilled flavor but lacked in flavor and marinade and most of the carne A$$ada was overcooked. I took 2 bites and threw in the towel SMDH. 1/5 Carne A$$ada Mulita. This was also bland and flavorless. At least the shell was crunchy and that's about it. Service 3/5 Service was OK, had an unsanitary situation and told the Amiga about it, but she seemed to brush it off and take no action. I called the store many times but no one picked up. I wanted to ask if any of their customers asked for any kind of refund because it's sad I can't even finish these 2 burritos. Instead, I had to throw them all away because it was that bad. The have a large salsa selection, along with lemons, radishes, spicy carrots, onions, and limes. Hopefully they open more locations soon! This would be a great addition to Redlands! I don't usually leave negative reviews, but this experience at Tacos El Callejon needs to be shared. I visited with a client and spent about $51. I ordered a surf & turf burrito to-go, and my client ordered a Cali burrito for here, along with two different drinks. Very straightforward order. They gave us the wrong burritos. My client actually started eating the one placed in front of him and noticed shrimp inside -- that's how we realized it was mine. I went back to the counter calmly and asked if they could remake my burrito since I wasn't comfortable eating food that had already been bitten. They agreed and brought out what was supposed to be a new burrito. Before leaving, I checked it -- and the top was already open and looked like it had been folded back together. It appeared to be the same burrito that had already been eaten from. At this point, I had to go back a third time to address the issue. Instead of an apology or concern, I was met with attitude and a lack of accountability. It felt like I was being treated as if I had done something wrong for simply asking for a fresh, untouched meal. On top of that, the overall interaction left me feeling uncomfortable. The tone, body language, and lack of professionalism from the owner and staff created an environment that didn't feel welcoming, and it's hard to ignore how that came across. To make matters worse, after sharing my experience publicly, the owner continued to go back and forth with me online rather than taking accountability or offering any kind of apology. I live 30 mins from this spot and gladly traverse the traffic on the 91 to get there. Their meats are juicy and you can totally taste the love the put into their cooking. The carne asada has that wood-cooked parilla flavor you cant find in any of the other glitzy, over-marketed spota in the IE. They have the best tripas tacos and will cook them to order. Oh, and did i mention that they make their corn tortillas by hand?! Be prepared to taste all of their salsas cuz they are bomb. Last, but most important, they are organized. I didn't get to take a picture because this place was busy. They have traditional and premium meats. I had a little of both and they didn't disappoint. You'll definitely see a line going out the door, but don't worry cause the line moves quick and you get your food in a reasonable time. I've been coming here for a while, and this place has never disappointed me.. until this visit. I called ahead and ordered three tortas. One of the main reasons I keep coming back is because the meat is usually tender and never chewy or gristly. Unfortunately, this time was completely different. The bread was hard and tasted stale, and the meat was very chewy and full of gristle. Overall, the quality just wasn't what I've come to expect. We ordered before the lunch rush, so I'm not sure what happened, but it was definitely disappointing. I'm hoping this was just an off day because I've had so many great experiences here. I'll give them another try and hope they're back to the quality I'm used to. read more

Al pastor- this had great flavor as well as the perfect balance of texture Cabeza- delicious and moist Lengua- I thought it was going to be dry but the flavor and moisture was on point. Carnitas- somehow they even got me liking the carnitas. It almost looked dry, but I bit in, and flavor and moisture were perfectly balanced. Tripas- crisp, delicious, and cleaned well! Yum! Buche- oh ma gawd...finally someone does it right!! Yes! Salsa Bar- WOW! I am impressed when I tried EVERY salsa, and it was ALL so bomb! Especially the creamy chipotle sauce which I normally never care for...they had me splashing that sauce on everything! The light yellowish/green sauce was on the spicier side (I like the heat so it wasn't a that spicy for me). They had pickled purple onion plus the carrots & jalapeños. I will be a regular customer. Went on a tuesday night it was pretty busy but the food was ready kinda fast. I ended up getting asada fries n my friend got the tacos, not sure if it was the premium meat or not. I loved my fries n the salsa bar had everything you could put on ur food. Prices were fair. My friend his tacos were also good.
