Yummy, cool taco truck! We got a Torta (pollo), Quesadillas (added pollo), and a pollo burrito. The food was hearty and delicious! The salsa verde tasted fresh and had a good kick. The folks were warm and friendly and we appreciated the covered outdoor tables - a welcome respite from the long drive between L.A. and Phoenix. Be sure to bring enough cash or use Zelle. These are the only forms of payment accepted. Oh, and they were very cool about having our dog with us.

Super quick service and such a friendly cashier! The torta was perfect & every bite was amazing. Sauces were delicious, portions just right. It's clean but no indoor seating, so it's great for to go. Definitely a hidden gem!

Top notch tacos in a very down to earth truck stop setting. If you're looking for glamour or even basic amenities, this ain't it. But if authentic tacos are your game, consider this a goaaaaaaalllllllllll!! Every morsel was exquisite and the taco truck purveyors are friendly and warm. Great find on a lonely highway.

It's like going to a hole in the wall but it's a taco truck. It's basically in the middle of nowhere. It's a pit stop for gas and truckers. I ordered the chorizo burrito and it's a good size. Cooked fresh and pretty fast. Very good chorizo and it wasn't overly stuffed with potatoes, it was just enough. Hubby ordered carnitas tacos and he said they were cooked. Salsa came in little plastic bags. It was too spicy for me but I could tell it tasted good.

Stopped off the freeway to gas up on the way back to Cali and this truck was set up across the street. Tried it out and everything me and my friends ordered were delicious! Definitely hit this spot if you get a chance. They take cash and Zelle. There's tables and chairs under a patio to enjoy your meal.

    Pastor burrito- so good!

If you don't want fast food but want food fast... this is the spot. Great service, fresh tortilla, meat was perfectly cooked and seasoned.

When you think #SupportLocal it is harder to think of anything more local than a food truck (save a…read morelemonade stand). Post-pandemic, I'm loving seeing the re-emergence of food trucks throughout the Valley as well as special food truck festivals. For brick-and-mortar restaurants that also have a food truck, it is a convenient way to try new places without traveling. As Forrest Gump said, "My mom always said life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get." The same goes for food trucks, really. When I heard that Mr. Munchies was going to be around, I checked around to see what was going to be on offer. Their Instagram had some snaps of mini-donuts and corndogs. Ooh-kay...It turns out that the menu IS corndogs and mini-donuts. Hence, there is truth in advertising the name Mr. Munchies. This food truck is not offering meals per se as much as they are snacks. I ordered the Heavyweight corndog. It was more than a typical corndog as 1/4 pound all-beef frank hand-dipped in cornbread batter and served golden brown. Add some Jalapeno cheddar and you have quite a large corndog. I have never been a corndog person but this was good. It was fried perfectly and crunchy without being dry. Perhaps my only complaint was that at $10 it seemed pricey but food prices are going up. Now, for the donuts. These are also served directly from the fryer. Mr. Munchies has several toppings and flavors available. When I asked if I could mix and match (even six and six) they said no. This totally makes sense from an operational perspective but is also a daunting choice when you are ordering a dozen of something you have never had before. I went with the Reese's Peanut Butter version since it's a flavor I know and like. They claim the mini-donuts are drizzled with Ghiradelli chocolate and Reese's. What I ended up with was a small box of flavorless dough. They weren't sweet and they really didn't have any flavor other than grease. I ate one and stopped there. It is possible that I perhaps chose the wrong flavor. They had several others including a cinnamon sugar one that would perhaps taste better. But the Reese's was an expensive flop at $8. Would I eat at Mr. Munchies again? Probably not. But it is self-described "carnival food" and when you need a quick fix, their corndogs may be the answer.
