We each had a beef enchiladas. I would differently recommend. The salsa and chips were also good.

We were extremely disappointed in the very bland food. Service could have been better with the amount of people that were in the restaurant.

Me and my Mom decided to stop in here on our way to Chandler, immediately we were greeted by a kind young man that also took our order. We ordered chicken fajitas and was advised they only had a burrito sized flour tortilla (which is a bit odd for fajitas) but, it was ok since the tortillas was cut in half for us to share. Overall, the food and service was great (it was Saturday around 1pm when we stopped in) I always love trying local spots and not the commercialized chains of restaurants out there. I ordered takeout from El Ranchero a few weeks ago while in Wickenburg. It was a great experience! Quick, affordable, and--most importantly--delicious! The order taker was pleasant and quick to answer the questions that I had about the menu. I ordered the chicken enchilada combo, as I wanted to sample their rice and beans along with the enchiladas. The green sauce was delicious and the enchiladas themselves were very tasty. Though I was only in the restaurant briefly as I had a takeout order, it was definitely a cute little establishment and one that I would visit to dine in! So glad we stopped here on our way to Vegas. The food is so good. Homemade and very flavorful. Some recipes are listed on the menu as coming from the grandma's 100 year old recipe (tamal) I had the shredded beef and pork tamale and the husband had the ground beef burrito. We both had the red sauce. We both said to each other that we should stop here for dinner on our way home from Vegas because it was that good. The free chips and 3 dips (2 salsa and 1 bean dip) were delicious. Pros 1. Tasty homemade food. Seems like you're eating in a Mexican family's home 2. Prices for most things on the menu are reasonable 3. Service was nice and very welcoming Cons 1. We were seated in the back room which was a bit dark. One of the best green chiles tamal I have eaten! The ranchero beans were just firm enough and could have had a bit more spice for me. Good thing the two salsas that came with the chips added just the right amount of spice. Large portions and fair price! Excellent service. Once again, as we were passing through (we actually went 40 miles out of our way to go here!) we dined at the best Mexican restaurant we've tried in many years! We stopped here on our way south to Phoenix and again, on our way to Havasu. All I can say is Yummy!!!! Tacos and A chili relleno today. Wish I would have had room for the shredded beef enchilada again, as it was also amazing on our last visit two days ago. Please do not pay attention to any of the bad reviews saying the food is it hot, both times we dined here, it was so hot we had to wait to eat it! Had high hopes for this place after reading reviews. Ordered enchiladas and chili relleno. Both orders were good but not great. Chili relleno was not spicy at all. There was also no spice in the enchiladas. Both seemed bland and lacked flavor. Also neither ordered seemed hot (temperature) enough. Tortillas were amazing though. We had Sope with Carne Asada, Guacamole with pico and Mexican cheese, chille rellano and a pork tamale with red sauce. and of course a margarita I'm a lover of Mexican food and I've had good, middle of the road and what I attribute to my German granny cooking it up in the 80's (Iceburg lettuce and Pace picante style). This place is the real deal. Best tamale I have had in my life!!!!!!!! Chili rellano was the bomb as was the guacamole. Sope was decent. Staff were super friendly and sweet and there were some items on the menu that I've not seen before and wish I would have had room in my tummy to try. I wish I would have found this spot on the first day that we got to town, I would have gone back every single day and maybe twice on Sunday. I always like to support local. While passing through town we saw the great reviews and thought we'd try it. Friendly and welcoming when we walked in. They were well staffed. We sat in a booth in a room and there was some smell; almost like a strong vinegar or something. Disgusting!!! The booth chair we just sunk in as it was well "worn". Food was subpar, nothing amazing. I thought this would be a nice place to try so my wife could have her happy hour margarita. But the service was so bad it just ruined the whole experience. Angle was our server. He was fast and great at taking orders for drinks but after that he would never stop at the table. We spent the rest of our time calling people for anything we wanted or needed. My first sat down they brought us chips and salsa. There was three containers one sauce the other sauce I think I like the dip, but it certainly had a completely different taste than any bean dip I've ever had in my mouth or any beans that I work to Chris tacos They were so wide and so big. I learned that a 'deep fried taco' is just a crispy taco shell that was soaked from sitting in the moisture from the lettuce garnish...and 'Beef' can be either be shredded or ground; it wasn't specified on the menu. The place wasn't busy (only one other table there) but yet the service was slow. The workers were all standing around talking and avoiding refilling our waters or brining our check. The service was not friendly. I guess for the limited options in town they don't have to meet standards. Probably won't come back here. I'm not sure how they have so many good ratings.
