    Bacon breakfast burrito
    Alissa S.

So good! Got breakfast burritos for myself and my coworkers yesterday and now again today for lunch! We had bacon ones, chorizo and one with asada it felt homemade and authentic and was a great price! No fillers like rice and beans or all the other bs other places put instead of protein. it was great and we'll be coming back often to try other things!

Al pastor burrito with guacamole (they forgot to add the guacamole)

Paying top dollar for a less than mediocre burrito sucks, and god forbid you ask for no rice and beans, they'll charge you 3 bucks extra. And it all can be forgiven if the quality of the al pastor was good. But it wasn't. The meat was hard and dry and I'm sure it was old and that's why they throw it in the food you don't "see". Very disappointed as this was my first time coming here, won't ever be back. The service was quick and fast the cashier was sweet but the quality and price for food was ridiculous

I've always passed by this place and finally decided to try it. It was decent but I thought it was pricey compared to other taco places. Because they are street tacos you need a few to fill up. So my total added up pretty fast. I ordered three different types of tacos and a burrito so we could all taste test and try different things from this place. The flavors were just average. Nothing special. I asked if they had a burrito with avocado or guacamole but she said no. I like flavors and sauces. I wish they had more to the food or options to add. If I was hungry and in that parking lot I would maybe go back but it's not something I would crave and have to have again. And I highly dislike being charged extra money to pay by credit card. That alone might make me not want to go back.

My daughter's team has been using them for their parties. I meet my wife there for lunch becsuse she works close to there. But this time I went to support a local small business that was open during quarantine. I got a burrito, but on a whim I also got some asada fries, so good.

The Carne Asada French Fries are delicious!

I was in the mood for Mexican, but always looking for some new gem here in the SFV, so I took to yelp and near the top was Tacos El Cosas. Since it wasn't far, and based on the good reviews, I decided to give it a try. Located in the same mall as a 7-11 at the corner of Devoshire and Topanga just past Los Toros if you're heading West on Devonshire. Keep your eyes peeled, because you could drive right on buy it if you're not paying close attention. The place was pretty much empty considering it was around 7PM or so. The staff was courteous. I oped for the Carne Asada French Fries, and my wife a variety selection of steak and chicken tacos. Both were totally delicious and we cleaned our plates. It's always fun to find a new to you, mom & pop type restaurant in the neighborhood.

She provided outstanding service from start to finish. She was friendly, attentive, and constantly checked on us to make sure our drinks were full and that we had everything we needed. The food was excellent. I'm especially picky about guacamole because most restaurants don't season it enough, but this was one of the best I've had. I still think Chipotle has my favorite guacamole, but this was a very close second. It was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of salt. The chips were also great--light, crispy, and not overly thick. For my entrée, I ordered the chicken and shrimp fajitas. Both were cooked perfectly, well-seasoned, and served with just the right amount of grilled onions and peppers. I also really liked the flour tortillas. They were soft, fresh, and the perfect complement to the fajitas. We also ordered the carne asada skirt steak, and it was outstanding. It had a great smoky char on the outside, was packed with flavor, and was cooked perfectly. The only downside is the parking, but that's really not the restaurant's fault. The area is just extremely busy, so finding a spot can take a little patience. Overall, this is my favorite Mexican restaurant I've tried so far. Great food, excellent service, and definitely worth the trip.

Anyways, once we were seated we got fresh tortilla chips and a red salsa which was delicious and on the house. My friend and I both wanted to tacos so we got two taco plates. I got the ribeye taco plate and she got the chicken tinga taco plate. We also each got the watermelon hibiscus margarita. The margaritas were the highlight of the night. They were well made and delicious. I could definitely drink a couple of them. In regards to the food, I enjoyed my tacos but my only complaint is if I'm being charged $20 for ribeye tacos, there should be way more meat in each taco. I feel like they skimmed on the meat, which I didn't appreciate, especially at that price point. Other than that, service was prompt and the interior was pretty. I would definitely come back for those margaritas. I believe they have weekday happy hour, so I might check that out for a more affordable experience.

He was super sweet. Since they were closing, it was only to go order that that time which we were totally fine with. We got two crunchy tacos both beef, one shredded, one steak/cubed. They came with chips and extra bag of chips on the side as well. They have a salsa bar so I took two of the spiciest salsas to go. I wish I would've taken the other salsa just to taste them as well, but we will come back for sure! We drove home, which is about a little over five minutes away. The tacos were yummy! I liked them both. I asked my husband which one he liked better and he liked them both but he would pick the shredded beef. I honestly thought they were both delicious. I will get them both again. If I had to pick one, maybe the cubed/steak. Really friendly staff and I appreciate that. Looking forward to coming back and trying more.

I came for lunch Friday afternoon around noon with 3 others and it was pretty busy as it was peak lunch time. You can tell it's a popular spot. You order at the counter first and then get a spot. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, but it was super windy the day we came, so no one was sitting outside. I got the Alex burrito without cheese and sour cream for $13.25. Asked for a recommendation for the meat and was told their al pastor is really good, so I went with that. I liked that they call you as they're making your burrito, so you can customize it further (which kind of salsa, onions and cilantro, do you want it cut in half, etc.). As a picky eater, I really appreciated that. We all got burritos, and one friend paid an extra 3 bucks to make it wet. Chips come on the side, and you can help yourself to salsa at their fresh salsa bar. This is the first taqueria I can remember that has a mild tomato salsa without raw onion and very little cilantro. I was excited to see that finally there's a salsa I can eat. My Alex burrito was one of the best burritos I've had imo. The proportion of meat to beans to rice was perfect and the rice tasted great. The al pastor was amazing: super flavorful and smoky. I usually feel like most burritos taste about the same to me, but I definitely found myself enjoying this one more than usual, which says a lot. Also, they're generously sized here. I wasn't able to finish mine despite my best efforts and packed the last quarter to bring home for dinner. I'd like to end my review by mentioning how polite and friendly everyone was, from the guy taking our order to the guy making the food. I was really impressed by this as well, since taquerias usually aren't exactly known for their service. I can't wait to come back!

The energy was electric, as there was a Mexico soccer game on for the World Cup. We ordered some asada fries and birria tacos, and both were super tasty. The asada fries in particular were a generous portion and you felt like you got your money's worth (a challenge in this economy). The vibe inside is very chill and the lights are down low. I loved the trees inside and always appreciate the color the painted skulls add to the space. A couple small things...first, we didn't get the food for a long while after we ordered. Probably around 35 minutes, and happy hour finished in the in-between, so it was too late to add to our order if we had wanted to. Second, I noticed that sometimes the silverware is not 100% clean (this has happened to me at 2 locations), so i make sure to check that I'm not getting anything dirty and mention it to the servers. They always promptly replace it, but it'd be nice if that was not happening in general. Anyway...love the deals here, the flavors are on point, and the atmosphere is fun. What more could you want?

It's a fairly large restaurant with a fun atmosphere, making it a great place to gather with friends and enjoy some food and drinks. The food has been good, and the spacious layout makes it easy for groups to relax and socialize without feeling crowded. It's become one of our go-to spots when we want a casual place to catch up. The service could use a little work. When we go for Happy Hour, we always seem to have to flag our waiter down or ask another if they can get them. I guess that they think once we have ordered food that we won't be ordering more drinks? The one area that could use some attention is the women's restroom. During my last three visits, the toilet seat in one of the stalls has been loose and shifts around when you sit down. On my most recent visit, I also noticed that the stall walls were quite dirty. These are relatively small maintenance issues, but addressing them would definitely improve the overall guest experience. Overall, Kalaveras is a fun spot with good food, a lively atmosphere, and plenty of space for groups. I'll continue meeting friends here and hope to see a little more attention given to restroom maintenance in the future.
