We got the asada tacos to go with everything on it. It was so good! The meat, the tortilla, the guac, all of it hit the spot. It is really crowded so expect to wait and we waiting about 15 min maybe for to go order still worth it. There are three options you can do to go orders which people walk up to a table in the middle to order , dine in which has a line on the left side (seemed to move quickly) , and drive thru where you park behind a sign and wait in your car and they will bring it out to you.
So I usually go to another taco stand VERY VERY close to Franc's and really enjoy them. My coworker asked me to come to Francs with him mentioning that they are a Michelin Star restaurant and so we did. Service was great in this open area restaurant. I had two al Pastor tacos. They were absolutely delicious and I think a little bigger than the other location. Although I did miss the pineapple in my tacos. The salsa was great and again, I really enjoyed having options. It was packed but still had plenty of seating for all
Even though there are numerous street vendors with arguably larger portions and better pricing, this place is still a solid choice providing the variety of meats and no-nonsense approach to getting delicious tacos out fast. There were a few vendors on the street selling pastries and other sweets and lots of pedestrians passing by, not to mention traffic congestion. That said, we were in line for a mere few minutes before we were promptly seated and had our orders taken. Around the restaurant, conversations were loud and the energy was palpable. The folks preparing the tacos were front and center, with meat supplies replenished as quickly as they are depleted. I ordered the suadero, tripa, campechano, and lengua with everything on. The campechano had a meaty, charred flavor of beef mixed with guacamole, and the suadero was a succulent stewed meat with plenty of dripping goodness. Priced slightly more than the rest, the lengua was familiar, yet memorable and worth trying. My favorite has to be the tripas, a hit of umami with a delicious crispy texture. A bottle of Mazanita Sol helped wash everything down. In total, we ordered 14 tacos and might have ordered more had we not been completely full.
I'm a bit perplexed about "Tacos El Franc." I've been told over and over again that these tacos aren't good. My family in Tijuana has said the same, as well as my friend who loves their sister location, "Tacos El Frances." However, these tacos were actually pretty good--the best we had that night, and we even went to another taco spot nearby. There was a line, but we were seated in about five minutes. A lady came by to take our order. We each ordered two tacos, and one of us ordered a mula. For drinks, they only have Pepsi products, homemade horchata, and jamaica (hibiscus). The drinks came out quickly, and the food followed soon after. I had an adobada taco with everything on it and a carne asada taco, also with everything. The adobada was flavorful, and the hot sauce wasn't too spicy. The best one, though, was the carne asada--it was very flavorful as well. My friend, who usually prefers the sister location, was surprised by how good it was this time. So, I can say that on this visit, the tacos were amazing. However, I wouldn't expect that level of quality every time--it seems to vary (YMMV). The restaurant itself isn't the best looking, and the seating arrangements are a bit odd. The table we sat at had questionable seats--we honestly didn't think they'd hold up the whole time we were there, but they did. Overall, if you want to try this place, go for it and start with a couple of tacos. If they're good, order more. Just don't expect it to be a 10/10 every visit. F.Y.I this place is cash only. They take pesos or US dollars.
Wow, there is a reason this spot is on the Michelin Recommended list!! We arrived about 10 minutes after the restaurant opened and it was already packed! The adobada vampiro was sooooo delicious. The tortillas were fried perfectly and there it was so filled. The guacamole was so fresh. I need to come back with an empty stomach to try the cabeza.
Been here many times and they never fail to deliver great quality food! Not to mention the delicious chile and grilled onions. The cucumbers are a plus for me. Real guacamole and great customer service. I personally love their fresh aquas frescas and their al pastor tacos. You can smell these tacos blocks away. Food is always freshly made. Tortillas are authentically made in front of you and they have a drive through which makes it even more convenient for people on the go! A must try in Tijuana. Best tacos hands down!
Best tacos so far I had in Tijuana. I got the carne asada tacos they are delicious the flavor of the meat is amazing. The tortilla is hand made. I should order 2 best the are big. The guy that help us with our food was nice and was very helpful what to order. You had to wait but was not too much only like 10 minutes. There is a long line but worth the wait
"Where's a good place to get tacos?" Well, here! Super friendly service, simple, inexpensive, and the locals love this place too. Tacos are 45 pesos each. If you're not sure which taco to start with, always start with Taco Asada (basic beef taco). If you come solo you can sit at the taco bar. Just yell out "asada" and within a minute they'll call to you "amigo!" and hand you your fresh off the grill taco. Very lively ambiance. You might have to wait up to 10 minutes for a table to become available. Pay at the register.

This place is great!! They have a few parking spots next to the taco shop. They seem to be doing their best to keep all areas clean. You must use hand sanitizer when entering and sanitize your shoes on the way in. The taco shop is an open style restaurant. Traffic noise is moderate, but adds to the atmosphere. Plenty of taco choices and all are delicious. No beer for sale! No mexicab coke either. Only Pepsi products and 7-Up. Food is really tasty and good, will definitely be back for more. read more

Tacos El Franc doesn't succumb to the hype. If you want genuine Tijuana style tacos get the Asada (sans beans) and de Adobada (Tijuana's namesake for Al Pastor). Ask for a side of salsas, grilled onions to go along with the radishes, limes and cucumbers...all free! Some of the best tacos in the world! read more

I was expecting much more from this place since everyone recommended me this place. Maybe that's why I had very high expectations. Is not bad but is not like super good either! I have been there a couple of times and every time is the same! My fiancé loves this place that's why we keep coming but last time he also noticed the quality! They are missing something!!! Anyways!!! The tortilla is good very high quality and you can tell right away is made by hand. The meat is what is flavorless doesn't taste that good. I like the quesadillas from here! And it's awesome how you can see the cooks making everything literally Infront of you! The server is so so!! Sometimes they are rude sometimes they are nice! And the person who charges is always in a bad mood. Might come back or might try something different read more

Where do I start??? Que ricos!!! There's always a line but surprisingly it moves pretty fast. I've had their asada, adobada, tripas, and suadero tacos and they are all amazing! I usually tack on a quesadilla and an horchata drink and food coma heaven here I come. This is my go-to taco place whenever I'm in TJ. read more

The fame and glory does represent itself well at Franc. Tons of seating and as fresh as you can get tacos with table side service. Maybe it was just an off day, but without Salsas lime and other condiments, the tacos (protein, tortillas, and onion cilantro ) tasted bland. However with condiments piled high, the tacos were delicious. read more
Excellent! Amigos make some delicious tasty tacos as expected in Mexico. Fresh ingredients and great craftsmanship. They are located on the main strip before going through the long stretch of toll road. My favorite were the asada, pastor and lingua tacos made in a freshly made tortillas. read more

One of my favorite taco go-to places where you can sit instead of stand for tasty taco choices and more. I love Tres Salsas in Tijuana because they make the tortillas from scratch and have amazing agua frescas, especially the banana but there isn't a place to sit!There's parking at Tacos El Franc too! The menu is on the walls with an expansive and very casual dining area. My favorite is the carne asada "todo" which is all the accompaniments of guacamole, onions and cilantro. Clean place with clean bathrooms. If you have a dog, sit outside. There's a table and two stools in front of the restaurant. Enjoy! read more

Very disappointed. My wife and I ate tacos here last night. We ordered adobada tacos, adobada quesadillas, an adobada vampiro and they were not tasty. Comparing to Taconazo, we highly recommend Taconazo at Playas de Tijuana. The service was good, quick seating. They ran out of cilantro so none on our food, very sad. We had they would be legit, unfortunately they are not, the adobada marinade is not flavorful. read more

This place is the best taco place I've been to in ti Juana ! I had tacos asada and tacos adobado and it was so delicious. The meat is really juicy and tender and it is served with the best fresh ingredients that really make your mouth savor the taste. There is some beans with the asada which is not normal for me but it added to the taste and just a nice amount of spice. And the adobado was with a over cooked crunch shell taco that was perfect! It is truly finger licking good! Only con of this place is there is no chicken taco and they don't sell beer sadly! But the horchata is delicious!! read more

First time crossing the border over to TJ and these were some of the best tacos I've ever had! Super cheap compared to tacos in San Diego. The tacos were a good level of spicy and also came with beans which I wasn't used to. The horchata tasted more creamy than sugary which I enjoyed. Cheap tacos and meat heaven! After a long day of walking, four hungry men came here for tacos in the evening. Though a line awaited us, service was fast in this place and we were seated within 5 minutes. Tacos were meant to be eaten quickly in Mexican culture like fast food. At least that was what I was told by the locals. The quesadilla mula con carne was pretty cheesy and big, and two of those satisfied the gut of the big boy in our group. The orange agua fresca tasted like Fanta with no bubbles and slightly less sugar. We also ordered different tacos, and most of them were good but very very greasy. My favorites were the cabeza and adobada. Service ain't too shabby too. This place is popular after being on tv shows and is a local and tourist favorite. Though almost all taco places have the same menu, the quality of the meat here is superior compared to other places. Do not expect fancy tacos like Puesto or City Tacos from San Diego, but the down-to-earth and simple and meaty (my, sounds like some guys I know) Tijuanense tacos. read more

Overrated! So you have two options: 1. Waiting in line for a table and you are able to place your taco order with your assigned waitress. 2. Ordering directly from the taqueros and eat standing. We arrived at about 8 pm on a Saturday evening. The line for tables was quite long so we decided to order straight from the taquero. Bad decision! The taqueros were really busy taken the orders from the waitresses, it was impossible to get our order in. After a long wait, I finally got the attention from the taquero and placed my order. It was uncomfortable to eat my tacos standing since all the staff was trying to get through. Seems as if they were very disorganized. They need to develop a better order ordering system. The tacos order are okay, I've had better. The Asada and guacamole were flavorless. The tacos size is bigger than your usually tacos, that's good. Parking is available next door. read more

A friend of ours recommended we go here for some good tacos. We were a little confused at first on how the line works but there is a line there we had to wait and then they will seat u when a table is ready. I ordered adobada , lengua and a mulas con carne & adobada. The adobada was good, however my friends did say the adobada at tacos el Gordo is more flavorful - and after they said that, I agree. The Lengua taco was OK. I think I was just wanting to save my stomach for the mulas (which I forgot to take a pic of) so a mulas is like a tortilla sandwich. The cheese tasted weird to me. But I think it's because I'm not used to the fresh made cheese that they make down there. I would definitely return and recommend others here but would probably try a few other popular spots first to taste the difference read more
