Service friendly & orders can be made in Spanish or English. Today credit card payment method was available. The ambiance is what you would expect for a food truck located in a gas station parking lot, next to a relatively busy intersection. Sitting is limited to three small round tables with metal seats. Not ideal during the summer heat but ok for evening sitting, if available. No privacy, unless you eat, or wait, in your vehicle. Torta de Reyes (2/5): unmemorable beef flavor, beans ok, medium~thick soft breading, single small slice of avocado. Solid meal portion but missed that authentic torta flavor. Elote (2/5): original, basic flavors of corn & a bit of queso fresco. Not soupy. Small cup. No exciting flavors. Pricing in my opinion for these two items are a bit high for flat taste; but to be expected in this economy.

Birria tacos! Located in a gas station parking lot in Katy, this little truck has some good birria tacos! Everything is CASH ONLY so I'm letting y'all know right now. Only tried the birria quesitacos with consommé and it was $12 for 4 tacos. Not bad for trying this for the first time! Tacos were lined with cheese and crispy on the outside. Flavorful and I liked all the included condiments. Can only recommend the quesitacos because that's all I got lol.

Drove 30 mins to get here, when I was 5 minutes away I called in to order ahead of time. The wait time for the food was 20 minutes which is odd for a food truck, but maybe the process for a birria is a lot more. CASH ONLY! -- Quesitacos w/ Consome (3/5) - The meat was pretty juicy, meaty flavor, but not really seasoned. The Consome has also a very meaty flavor, would be a great soup. I had really high expectations considering the reviews and the wait. 12 -- Beef Tacos (2/5) - The meat was very dry, flavorless, and the meat smelled old. Nothing special to me.

I was pretty excited to try Tacos El Grande because I love tacos! I also love giving new places a try :) CASH ONLY! I got their #1 on the menu which is $12 for 4 tacos and consome. The birria tacos were oh so delicious, especially when dipped in the consome! The meat was tender, cheese was soft, the crunch of radish, and flavorful onion and cilantro AND their green salsa! You just have to eat it fast or else the shells get soggy and breaks apart lol. I have braces so it took me a good 45 minute to finish my meal which was too long!

#1st time here 1. The entrance - Food truck on the side of a Chevron off Franz Rd in Katy, TX. 2 wooden picnic tables if you want to eat there. 2. The First Vibe - Great! Clean! Backs up to a neighborhood. We did notice upon arrival that it is ONLY CASH. Luckily, there was a gas station with an atm - $2 service fee. 3. Time 2 table - we got this to go - so roughly 10 mins. 4. Menu - simple and small. What to get? Quesatacos with the consome. OMG. The consome is a game changer. 5. Server - no server but the man at the window took our oder. 6. Drinks - they have topo and glass bottled sodas 7. Food - see photos! Larger portions than I thought. I definitely had leftover tacos the next day 8. No dessert 9. Management - Management takes all the credit for the process - service was great and quick. No issues. 10. Cleanliness - Clean. I think some food trucks can get a bad rap for not being clean. But the area surrounding the truck and the quality of our food can attribute to the cleanliness. Def coming back. REALLY FREAKING GOOD YALL. Today was the second time I've eaten dinner here & literally no regrets. Ordered over the phone so it'll be ready by the time you get there so you're not waiting in the sun BUT REMEMBER IF YOU ORDER W CONSOME, ask for it when you pick it up because they forgot to give me some when my boyfriend picked it up & he didn't bother to check the bag :( so we're currently enjoying the quesitacos without the consome. I would really recommend if you're following the hype & trying to find yummy birria tacos !! I'm actually really sad because the consome was so good last time that I DRANK IT & I'm not even ashamed to tell y'all. TRY IT !!

This was our first time tonight and all we can say is..... OH HELL YES!!!!! They got the food out quick and it traveled well. When we got home everything was hot and tasty. They only let you pay with cash as of now. Great size truck with tables on the outside to sit at. It seems a bit hidden but this place is a must visit!

I was craving for some birria tacos and I saw this place nearby and gave it a try! They open starting at 5pm! You can preorder through the phone before coming. The birria tacos with the soup is very tasteful! The regular tacos are a little dry in my opinion. The birria tacos plate, it comes with four tacos and the soup. If you're really hungry then 1 plate can fill you up, but if you're not I would suggest sharing it with someone. Very well seasoned and tasty!

I've been hearing about the Birria Taco craze for some time, and have just been waiting for an opportunity to try it. I Yelp'd this location and decided to give it a try. The reviews were wonderful and the pictures really helped me to decide what I wanted to order. I ended up getting the #1 Birria Quesitaco with Consume. It came with 4 delicious tacos with all the fixin's. It smelled so good I barely made it home without taking a bite. It was fresh and delicious. The consume was so flavorful, I could have had it alone like soup. The only reason for the 4 stars is because they accept cash only. I had to leave and come back with cash.

Adorable taco truck in the gas parking lot! They have outdoor seating with a set of giant jenga! I love how they have a buzzer to let you know when your food is ready for those who prefer to wait in their car! I always order the al pastor tacos and they're amazing! My only wish is they have pineapples for my al pastor! Their tacos always come on a vibrant plate with grilled onions/veggies on the side. They also take card! read more

I live right across from this taco truck and I've been going here since I moved on this side almost 2 years ago. It was 2 new guys there & I told my son to walk there and get me a noodle bowl with beef. He came back with the wrong kind of meat so I walked back in the cold & very sick to fix the order. The guy didn't speak English, he told me we ordered fajitas which wasn't true and he overcharged us by $2. I gave him back the bowl and told him what I wanted & he threw $12 cash at me and told me to never come back. He called his boss and I actually explained everything to the boss and he fixed the issue. The guy took the money back but I had to tell him that he didn't refund my card so I would keep the cash. He gave me back the money and they fixed the bowl with the right kind of meat. I will never ever ever ever eat at this truck again and I've told alot of my neighbors about my experience with this truck. Imagine, you cheat me out of money, don't speak English and pissed at me about it and then try to tell me to never come back. The owner was nice to me and calmed the situation down but they'll never get my money again. I always send out of towners to this truck but never again!! Those 2 guys were horribly unprofessional. I kept asking the other guy if he spoke English & he put his hand up like a little bit and had a smirk on his face. Very rude, disrespectful and never again. read more

I had the combo #2 with the 4 regular tacos with the consume and a beef torta here, great quality! The tacos were really nice and crunchy, the consume was brothy, and the torta was extra cheesy! I loved all of the side veggies that came along with it, they were really generous with the sauces too, and I think it was definitely worth the price. The service was really fast also. The only thing of concern here is that they serve their hot foods on paper plates and the heat from the fresh foods could, ya know, melt them. But everything was really delicious, highly recommend! read more

These are probably one of the BEST birria tacos I've had, and I've had several! The seasoning and the consomé has so much flavor! And it's down the street from me even better. The ramen noodles are delicious as well! Keep it up Tacos El Grande! read more

This is my first time having Birria Tacos & Tacos El Grande makes them perfectly. I honestly don't know what more to say than that. The consome is great and their green sauce goes perfectly with their tacos; highly recommend you get extra green sauce. They only take Cash so keep that in mind. read more

This place is awesome. I ordered the quesitacos and a quesadilla for my kids. The quesitacos came with four tacos and some consommé. It also had onions, radishes, and cilantro on the side. The food was so good that I went back a few hours later. I will definitely eat here many more times. read more

Not too brag, but I consider myself a Taco connoisseur and THESE tacos are a 10/10. Been seeing all these L.A Queso Birria Tacos on social media and found out that El Grande (whose originally from California) was about to try to sell them in Katy. I came the first week and needless to say 5 months later THESE tacos have been a staple. These queso birria tacos are to die for. BUT it doesn't stop there. They're hot dogs are so good and just there regular barbacoa tacos are so tasty also. Place is a truck in front of a gas station and it's cash only. Def recommend. New to the area and keep seeing birria tacos. Asked around and this place was recommended. Their food was so good! Got there as soon as they opened at 5 and food was ready within 10-15 mins. I got the Quesitacos w/ consume. It was amazing. Consume was flavorful and so were the tacos. Definitely will be coming back! read more

Queso birria tacos were phenomenal. My bf is from Mexico and LOVED them. The consumé was good but not the best I've had. Even though I'd give it a 10:10. Super sad we are out of town & don't have a taco truck with birria back home :(. However, I did sample the chicken when considering getting chicken tacos & it was extremely dry and bland. They did have tortas on the menu which i didn't see pictured on here. read more

What made it even more frustrating is that we've been to the Cypress location many times, and every single visit there has been exceptional -- great food, great service, and consistently enjoyable. Unfortunately, the La Centerra location was the complete opposite. We waited over an hour for our food, only to receive the wrong appetizer. The fajita plate arrived cold and without rice, beans, or tortillas. We sent both dishes back. The replacement appetizer -- ceviche tostadas -- finally arrived, but it was overloaded with lemon to the point of being unbearably sour. Meanwhile, there were still no tortillas, rice, or beans in sight. No drink refills, no updates, and barely any service during the entire wait. After another long stretch of waiting, we finally asked the server what was happening, only for her to return and tell us the kitchen was closing and they no longer had tortillas, rice, or beans available. At that point, after nearly 1.5 hours, we walked out with nothing but a to-go box of fajita meat. To the manager's credit, they removed the appetizer and fajita charges from the bill, but the experience itself left such a bad taste that it completely overshadowed the gesture. Extremely disappointing, especially compared to the excellent standards we've experienced at the Cypress location. Sadly, we will not be returning to this location.

You could actually see how much soup was packed inside--they looked like little jiggly water balloons. The broth was unexpectedly sweet while still being savory, with a very clean flavor. After watching the dumpling episode of Chuuka Ichiban (Cooking Master Boy), I became overly aware of the thickness of dumpling wrappers. I have to admit this place absolutely nailed it--the wrapper was just thick enough to hold the filling, yet delicate enough that it almost melted away as you chewed. - Red Oil - Tangy and aromatic. Despite being an oil-based sauce, it didn't taste overly greasy. The seasoning and herbs gave it a signature spice that felt layered rather than simply spicy for the sake of being spicy. It actually grew on me the more I went back to it between the other dumplings, working as a great palate cleanser and taste bud reset. Pork & Scallion Thumb Bun - I'd never had a thumb bun before, but it's quite dainty, just as the name suggests. The texture was a bit firmer than I would have liked--almost like a stiff potsticker. All of these dumplings had a very pronounced pork flavor. I found this one a bit too salty compared to the others, perhaps because the soup dumplings and wontons were balanced by their broth and red oil. Maybe I just needed to dip it in vinegar (someone educate me). I tried it three ways: plain, accidentally in soy sauce, and finally in vinegar. The vinegar definitely mellowed out the saltiness, but this still wasn't my favorite dish. Service was fast and considerate throughout our meal. They refilled our water attentively and checked on us at a meaningful pace without feeling intrusive. I also noticed they didn't play any music here, but somehow the constant buzz of the staff moving around was comforting. The atmosphere felt peaceful and gave off very authentic Chinese vibes. Overall, we'll be visiting them again soon at their new location closer to us. #worth
