Long line, food was decent, service was good but ambiance was loud. We got the Al Pastor Tacos, Barbacoa Tacos, and Quesadillas. When we got there, there was a long line, and we thought it was good. While the prices were good (can't beat 2$ a taco) the food was only decent. Pretty authentic though. Horchata was absolutely on point and DELICIOUS. Large portion of horchata and was scrumptious. Service was actually pretty fast once we were at the front of the line and ordered. Unfortunately, because it was outside, there was a large motorcycle gang that annoyingly and loudly revved their engines (about 30 motorcycles or so) while they were leaving, which left a bad impression. read more

There was a line but service was quick. They had a covered seating area for guest who were wanting to dine there. I've had a variety of AUTHENTIC Mexican style tacos, but these just missed the mark. El pastor was very salty and the tacos were a bit greasy overall. The price wasn't bad at all with a $2 per taco cost, but I guess you get what you pay for. The best thing here is probably their salsa verde, which the issue to you in packs. Very flavorful with a bit of heat up it. Overall I've had much better than this place. read more

BEST taco truck in Katy, Tx . Authentic Mexican food, great service & great atmosphere! We ordered at one window & by the time we went to pay, we had our tacos being given to us. Little to no wait for your food & the atmosphere, despite being behind a gas station & off the freeway.. is awesome ! They also have a salsa cart that has a variety of different salsas to try & pickled cucumbers & onions. We had 2 tacos de fajita. I found this late night taco truck, and decided to give it a try. Super affordable ($2) tacos. The service was fast, and I got my food quick. Campechano: Toss sliced beef fajitas right into the pan with crumbling Toluca chorizo. The rich paprika, garlic, and herbal oils from the sausage melt down and coat the fajita meat, eliminating any need for boring pre-made seasoning packs. Amazing! This has been my go-to taco truck for about a year now. It's been a couple months since we've been so I was excited to see the little upgrades around (like the table tops, cups, TVs, decor and even sauce packets). Service window was moved so we ended up having to wait a little longer to order. No big deal. My biggest concern though, is the quality of the food that seems to have taken a dip. The Barbacoa tacos were mushy and had zero flavor. The pastor has been better seasoned and both meats had quite a bit of fat/gristle. This was one of the places my friends and I found after a good climbing session at Momentum Katy. That post climb fuel is always important. And we came across Taqueria el Toluca. It's a true hidden gem, behind a gas station. No parking spots, but make it your own. Makeshift shed with telenovelas and bench seating. They even provide paper towels. The menu is simple. It's abundant. And cheap. They open late! You order at the first window, and pay at the second. Tacos, Burritos, Quesadillas and Torta are DELICIOUS. Absolutely freaking delicious. They don't skimp out on the meat. It gets to the point of deciding how hungry you are or if you want to save your other half for the next day. Tough decisions. Even that next day reheat is so good. Convenient and affordable taco truck! My friends were struggling to find a place open late, so we stumbled upon this taco truck. For 4 people, our total was under $30, and we had plenty of food for everyone. The tacos are decently sized; we each were pretty full from 3-4. The quesadilla was amazing and large enough to share. I loved both of their sauces, but the food was great without them too. The employees were very patient with us when we were combining our order. Since we did visit close to closing, they had little to no agua frescas left. They take Apple Pay and card, so payment was quick and hassle free. Got mine with fajita meat and it was great! Loved the raw and grilled onions. There's plenty of seating some plastic tables under canopies. Also had a few bites of a burrito and that was a bit salty but pretty good! Had plenty of cheese on it also...overall this spot was one I'll remember. The chicken is cut up very fine, they use yellow tortilla which are way more healthy than the white corn. The charro beans are great just a ton of meat. if you like that. I've been visiting this truck for a while, Although this truck is sadly closed on taco Tuesdays it is very good and really cheap! I love that it's kind of hidden behind the gas station, and that they have added a roofed dining area so you can sit and enjoy your meal. The staff is courteous and informative every time I ask a question. They're also very generous when I've requested extra items in the side; such as lines, inions and cilantro. Taqueria El Toluca was a drive for us from Houston but it is very very good. It's a food truck in a truck parking lot. They have some picnic tables under the tent. The line can be very long, it is that good. Prices are very affordable and portions are ample. My favorite was the Papas Asada, a baked potato with so much flavor, the bacon on top gives it an extra crunch. Be sure to order the Elote from the little Elote truck on the right. Price is pretty cheap, $1.5/taco except tripa which is $2. I ordered 8 tacos (2 tripa, 2 barbacoa, 2 fajita, 2 trompo) plus a melon drink for $3.5. I really liked the barbacoa, it was tender, soft, and flavorful. The fajita and trompo were also pretty good. I didn't like the tripa as much, it was dry and it didn't have a lot of flavor. The salsas were good, green one was already pretty spicy, the red one is hella spicy (for me). I'll definitely be back! Next time I'm trying the frijoles charros! read more
