This was my first time visiting this location, so I tried their staple item which is the birria tacos with cheese and consomé. Price wise, it felt fair. About $13 for the tacos and $5 for the churros, totaling around $19 with tax. The birria tacos came with a generous portion, and the consomé was rich with flavor. I do wish the tacos themselves were a little crispier, but the flavor overall was good. I also liked that it came with two types of salsa--the red was super spicy (my favorite) and the green was more on the mild side. The churros were a nice sweet addition, though I'd probably come back mainly for the tacos. Parking was easy, the location is convenient, and the setup is simple with a casual seating area. Overall, a solid spot if you're craving birria.

Street Tacos and Elote

First time visiting here and the food was great! The tacos were full of flavor, the service was amazing, and the establishment was very clean. I also got my food quickly, which was a plus. My only disappointment was that the elote was served in a smaller cup than I expected. Other than that, everything was really good. I would definitely recommend this spot go check them out!

I came here to try their birria tacos and ended up with nachos! I loveeee nachos and they had a new item so why not check it out?! I wasn't expecting such a big platter but it was so good. I'd definitely get it again. Service was smooth, quick, and easy.

A coworker was passing thru Katy and wanted to grab lunch so I wanted to take him somewhere local and good. So I suggested TJ's and that's where we met. My wife joined us. The food was so good. This time I had the "quesabarilla". It was awesome. My wife had the barillas con consome and my coworker had the Barilla Deluxe. I wish I'd taken some pics. These are the best. Period. Later.

I was in the neighborhood buying some items, and was looking for an eatery with good reviews on Yelp and TJ Birria popped up. I went inside the Taqueria and ordered the beef burrito street tacos ( chicken n beef) and some chicken quesadilla. The food was excellent. The burrito was a hefty portion. There was good amount of protein, along with all the fixing. I added different salsas to kick the spice another notch. The street tacos were very good also. Came with all the fixing. I got both protein to test it out. Beef was definitely the way to go. The quesadillas were good also. We got the chicken flavor. Came with some pico style side for dipping purposes. Service was good. We got some great recommendations from the counter person that took our order. It was your typical taqueria type ambiance. Loved it.

Two Birria Tacos with a side of Elote, and Ramen.

I've been wanting to try Birria Tacos for awhile. Tonight seemed like a good opportunity! They were delicious! I definitely over-ordered. I really just needed a side of consommé and not an entire giant bowl of Ramen noodles and birria meat. I guess I have lunch for tomorrow. I was a little nervous, because I absolutely do not like cilantro. (Yes... I am one of those "no cilantro" people.) They followed my instructions. Not a spec of cilantro in sight-- but plenty of crunchy red onions accompanied the two tacos. I also ordered a side of Elote. The small cup of corn was a little soupier than Elote I've had other places. But it was still tasty. I'm too full to try the Tres Leches Cake I ordered! But it looks moist and sweet.

The Birria craving has been fulfilled to the max. This place was perfect; super clean and great customer service. The cashier was very helpful since it could be a lot to look at for first timers trying to figure out what to choose from. The birria was perfectly cooked. Super tender and deliciously flavored. I was thinking tacos but the burrito looked too good to pass up. The portions were great, the burrito was very filling and my GFs tacos were all stuffed as well. She got the birria deluxe so there was a little bit of everything to try. The charro beans were also on point, nice flavor. The horchata was sweet, tasty and not too granular at all. Overall this was really good and I'm glad we were able to stop by tonight and try this place out. We will be back. Fun and reasonably priced menu besides very few things here and there.

Stopped in for dinner and immediately loved the vibes. Great music and friendly service that literally stepped up to welcome us in for our first time. He provided a paper trifold with a QR code that had pictures of all menu items. Everything looked so good, so I went with the Birria Deluxe to sample it all. Thankfully I was able to sample the horchata bc it cleared up my choice of beverage. Soooo good!! The birria meat is very tender, flavorful and juicy even without dipping in their delicious consomé. While the birria in the flour tortilla was good, I prefer the corn tortillas. And my favorite by far was the Vampira. The tostada was perfectly crunchy and super satisfying.

Great service. Horchata is very potent, but sweet and cinnamonny. Salsas are great. Elote needs some salt/tajin/valentina. Torta was great. Patio is nice in the front to enjoy the weather. Prices are decent.

Very clean interior bathrooms, and exterior. There is some seating on the patio is a little hot today to sit outside. The staff are friendly and prompt cleaning the tables. The food came out hot, freshly prepared. The Ramen was epic. According to my son the video deluxe is a great combination platter Definitely come with an appetite and be willing to try a variety of different things. Would recommend and look forward to coming back Very large parking lot directly in front of the restaurant on both sides, but then also it shares it with other retail stores. Note my rating system: 1 Star: I wouldn't recommend 2 Stars: Didn't hit my standards 3 Stars: Average (nothing special) 4 Stars: Above Average. Would recommend. Still looking for the 5 Star. 5 Stars: Top of their game. Great food. Great service. Would recommend and plan on returning.

I forgot to take a picture of my tacos but here's the birria ramen.

So while visit family in Texas I was told about this spot. And the food did not disappoint me. I bought the Ramen combo for $14.99 it came with this big container of noodles with 2 quesbirria tacos. Actually before heading back to Cali I will stop by there and pick up some tacos. The staff was very helpful due to the fact that I wasn't sure what to order when looking for just just some quesbirria tacos. The ramen that day was as good to me as the tacos but about a day later I was able to eat more. It wasn't nasty it was just different for me.

We've tried their Stafford location, which we loved! We were super excited to see their Katy location open so close to home! The service is 5 stars all the way. Super friendly when ordering and checked on us throughout our meal. Love that they're consistent on this at both locations. We had the birria tacos and steak burrito. Both were yum! Only gripe, the dipping sauce for the birria was not consistent. It had to strong of an all spice taste that was overbearing. It wasn't like that at the Stafford location. If they can correct this, I would up the stars. :) 2nd bummer was they didn't have horchata which is our fave. We roughed it out with Jarritos. ;) All in all we will give it another shot and hoping the two minor lacking items are corrected.

The restaurant was clean and tidy. While there were a few people in the restaurant, it was not crowded but we were an hour or so past the normal lunch hour. I ordered the brisket tacos, they were fabulous! The fresh cilantro and lime served on the side really brought it home. The green salsa was a perfect blend of flavor and spice (not a lot of heat). The red sauce was WAY too hot for me but hubby liked it. I also ordered the Cantaloupe Aqua Fresca. It was so refreshing and light. Taking the leftovers home to the teenager, he is gonna inhale it without question. We will definitely be returning and totally recommended you try it out.

A special shoutout to Ulises, who made our experience exceptional. He was incredibly attentive, friendly, and fast without ever making us feel rushed. Since it was our first time visiting, they even surprised us with complimentary corn on the cob, which was such a thoughtful touch. The food was outstanding and came out surprisingly quickly. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. My husband was also impressed by the attention to detail throughout the restaurant--even the restroom was stocked with everything you could think of, from toothpicks to mouthwash, which was especially appreciated after enjoying all the delicious corn and black beans! It's rare to find a restaurant that combines amazing food, excellent service, and thoughtful hospitality so well. We left already talking about our next visit, and we can't wait to come back and try their margaritas. Highly recommend!

We had one of the worst dining experiences ever at Ambriza La Centerra. After living in Houston for…read more15 years and dining all over the city, this was by far the most disappointing restaurant experience we've had. What made it even more frustrating is that we've been to the Cypress location many times, and every single visit there has been exceptional -- great food, great service, and consistently enjoyable. Unfortunately, the La Centerra location was the complete opposite. We waited over an hour for our food, only to receive the wrong appetizer. The fajita plate arrived cold and without rice, beans, or tortillas. We sent both dishes back. The replacement appetizer -- ceviche tostadas -- finally arrived, but it was overloaded with lemon to the point of being unbearably sour. Meanwhile, there were still no tortillas, rice, or beans in sight. No drink refills, no updates, and barely any service during the entire wait. After another long stretch of waiting, we finally asked the server what was happening, only for her to return and tell us the kitchen was closing and they no longer had tortillas, rice, or beans available. At that point, after nearly 1.5 hours, we walked out with nothing but a to-go box of fajita meat. To the manager's credit, they removed the appetizer and fajita charges from the bill, but the experience itself left such a bad taste that it completely overshadowed the gesture. Extremely disappointing, especially compared to the excellent standards we've experienced at the Cypress location. Sadly, we will not be returning to this location.

Enjoyed the margaritas and excellent customer service from Katie. She expertly managed multiple tables, including an 8 top with ease and a smile. The restaurant was pretty busy since it was graduation week. I ordered the ground beef soft tacos with a side of black beans. My friends had the Marisco Bowl and a platter. Management was helping out and delivered our food. All the food items were hot and plentiful. Restrooms were clean and well stocked. Our fajita meat today was old, and smelled off. We requested medium but it came beyond gray, and zero char- it was sweaty. This showed up within four minutes. The rice was dried out. The beans were, too. As I said- two thirds of the time is great. Sometimes bad visits happen. Then comes the annoying dance: I do *not* want a manager. I sure didn't need an argument (!) from the server about cooking theory. Not looking for free food. We were very hungry and now have to go find another restaurant. We paid and we left. All done. No desire to keep playing roulette with which experience we can expect, and the server pushback was the kicker. You'll be fine without us.
