The best taco truck ever!
Matt J.

If you're looking for the best taco you've ever had then this place needs to be your next and final stop !!! I had a lengua taco on a fresh made tortilla ! I was getting gas next door at the am/pm I saw the truck and wanted to see if what I was told was true. What I've heard is that Oregon doesn't have any good Mexican anywhere. That just isn't true ! Btw lengua isn't on the visible menu but ask for it and you'll be mind blown

I love my neighborhood taco man! This little shack has been build on and built on to a lil cozy dining area. The tacos this guy makes are the best you can get for only a dollar. His pastor and lengua are really good. and asada is also superb for those who are not experimental. He is also vegan option for those who are. he is cash only and really nice. Hours are 12:00pm to about 9:00pm though sometimes he'll stay late if business is good. If you do go there late, do not be surprised if he runs out of a few things. That means he had a good day and you should have should up earlier.

Still on my search for the best tacos in PDX, I came upon Taqueria Uruapan on a triangle corner next to a BBQ shack and a burger shack. It's a taco truck (no bathroom for you) with a patio built out front some plastic siding and a roof. When it's not raining one can sit out front in the parking lot on a couple tables. The tacos: I've had most of the offerings here and all have been either solid or excellent. The best options are the pollo (tied with another for the best in PDX) and the al pastor. The carnitas and carne asada are not to be shrugged off. Accommodations aside, high point is the low cost ($1.50 a taco) and the excellent homemade salsas. NOTE: This place does not have consistent hours or offerings. If you do happen to come upon them when they are open and have all their offerings ready to go, however, you will not be disappointed. These is definitely some of the best tacos I've had in PDX.

Carnitas, asada and pollo tacos served up with some beans and rice. Yum!

Some of the best tacos in town are hidden at this little taco stand in the "Cully Triangle". Try them all, but the carnitas is the one you'll keep coming back to. Juicy flavorful pork; with a lightly crisp searing, these tacos are as authentic as any I've had in Mexico. The beans and rice are also on par and complement any dish nicely.

Best veggie tacos in town. Cheap too! It's so nice to find veggie tacos with real flavor instead of beans and lettuce. Thanks!

One day I didn't budget my time properly so I was looking for lunch that wasn't fast food that I…read morecould eat in the car. Fish and chips to the rescue. I got the cod. It had a panko crust which sometimes I prefer to batter. They were a little bit salty for my taste but ever since I got COVID lots of things have tasted salty so take that with a grain of salt I'm not a tartar sauce guy but this is some great sauce. I feel like later I got a piece of tarragon(?) out of my teeth and reminded me of the herby yummy sauce. I scoffed at first at the chips. Very non uniformly cut but surprisingly all well cooked. I don't know if it's they type of potato but the skin was really off putting. But solid toothsome chips that a splash of vinegar helps a lot. If I end up in a similar position again I'll definitely consider coming back.

Friendly owners. Sizzling fresh food. Price was decent for a food cart serving seafood. I got the…read morelarge serving for $16 and that was a good choice. I came after a review I read on Eater for FoPo area eats. I'm not a huge fried food fan but this place was good. I got the Steelhead trout fish and chips. Wait was ok they give you a buzzer so you can stroll around the food court. Took about 10 mins not bad. The locally sourced steelhead was a delicious surprise. Tender, juicy fish with crispy breading. Good seasoning. Fries were thicker so not as crispy but still hearty. 3 medium sized pieces of fish. They included ketchup for the fries as well as malt vinegar and tartar sauce for authentic fish dip. Wedge of lemon, too! All in a earth-friendly cardboard box. They take credit just fine. Very convenient location at Carts on Foster just down the street from where I was staying. So I walked back and enjoyed there. If you're staying you could probably cruise over to any local breweries or the bar cart for a beer to complement the fried food. Good time!!!
