Food~Delicious! Absolute Fire Birra Tacos! I decided I wanted Birra Taco's today and, after reading so many different reviews I decided to go with Birriera PDX! My first order 5 piping hot Birra Tacos w/ so much flavor (pickled onions yummm) and, steamed tortillas, Consommé (was piping hot diced onions, cilantro, seasoned very well, it was thin consistency but, I felt it paired very well) and a Pepino (the most refreshing cucumber drink)! Service~Great! I was greeted immediately w/ smile and, it was few people behind me in line and, a few waiting. I let the owner know I haven't been here before he didn't rush me but, asked "what I liked". I told him "I wanted the birra tacos" he said "it's a special today" w/ it being it's Taco Tuesday!!! I said I'll take 5 to go. I asked him about the drinks he said told me which one he likes. I chose the cucumber (I love cucumbers) but, I'll definitely try the passion fruit and mango he recommended next time!!! He said "ok I'll will be 3-5 minutes" I said "20" he said no "3-5 minutes"! It was ready in 3 minutes!!! Yes it will definitely be a next time!!! I felt the portion were great for the sizes of the double tortillas and, I'll be going on Tuesdays for now on (when I am craving it)! I can honestly say the flavors are still lingering on my tongue!!! Ambiance~it's really nice food truck w/covered clean seating (it's about 5-6 large tables, picnic seating, with rolls of paper towels (you're going to need them)! I decided to eat my meal there and, that was the best decision after I took those 5 down I ordered another 5 to go!!! Parking~ it's a lot it's another business in the lot but, it was plenty of parking! It's located on a business street but, very calm driving and foot traffic! I would highly recommend you giving Birriera PDX a try if you want good tacos and great service!!!

Have had delivery from here twice. Best Birria I've found in Portland so far. They prepare birria in every way Imaginable. I've had their quesadilla, birria fries, keto tacos and birria en caldo. Everything was awesome. One keto taco was chicken and that was great too. Best rice I've had in a while. Only con was the quesadilla didn't come with consume which isn't the norm in other places. It can be ordered for an extra charge. 100% recommend for a birria fix. I also have to mention their cucumber lime aqua Fresca. That thing was amazing!

Not impressed. First ever trying birria. Was really looking fwd to it and I know prices are going up but avocado sauce was not true avocado flavor, but like a"sauce". Portions were small. Maybe my expectations were just too much... sorry, just my opinion.

I used to come here all the time but have stopped eating out as often. Unfortunate, the quality has dramatically declined. I come from a mexican household and my mom is an amazing cook, i would tell my friends that this spot was easily better than my mom's birria. Now, it's not only smaller portions but the birria is dry, bland, and there is barely any meat anymore. This would've been a 3 star review but I realized that the sauce and the lime was what really gave it the flavor. I understand smaller portions for the same price but why sacrifice quality as well? Consumers are more than happy to pay more if that means better quality food.

As a California transplant here in Portland, the tacos at this place is just very meh. FOOD We got a selection of different type of birrieria tacos and pretty much all of them are just okay at best. It seems like they use the same meats for all type of item they sell and the meats are cooked pretty well. Unfortunately it's not seasoned that well so it was pretty bland. The tacos, quesotacos doesn't have that "wow" factor at all. In my opinion we're eating food for hungry sake. The birreria fries was just a plop of fries with good amount of meat and cheese. Really nothing wowed about that. SERVICE The service is pretty solid. The workers are very nice and the environment was super relaxed and chill! ALL IN ALL, decent taco truck but no "wow" factor at all. Kind of disappointing experience based on how good the Yelp ratings are. If you never tried this place, I would recommend but this would be my first and last time here :/. On top of that, the items are on the expensive side. The food honestly doesn't worth the price imo.

Many of my recent reviews are 3-Stars. Remember, in official Yelp-speak this means "A-ok", it doesn't mean bad. So I wondered if I'm no longer able to be wowed, that meh is the new norm. Thankfully, this cart is a good reminder that's not the case. Super friendly guy in the window. The breakfast burrito/breakfast sandwich is my most reviewed food on Yelp: the version from Birria PDX is in the upper echelon. It's not torso-sized, just perfect so there's room for something else from their eclectic menu. The cheese is a gooey white blend, the eggs NOT too omelette style, but not scrambled to the point where they ooze. Most significantly, the tortilla is soft and "wet" with hints of whatever was on the flat grill, but it's not oily. The Mulitas will be a go-to staple. Again, good functional portion for the fair price. It's so much more enjoyable eaten with utensils. You get a choice of hot or mild orange sauce, not the standard boring red or green. Do know it packs some heat. Their homemade drinks are very popular. Yet, as refreshing as it sounded, I didn't love the cucumber, but they still get props for presentation and portion. When it comes to Mexican food, I so appreciate that we're expanding our palette beyond old school tacos and burritos. Be careful of parking in the lot behind the cart as you're required to pay.

Really seeing these trucks everywhere so it's about time I give them a try and glad I was to do so! They have everything birria here. As a first timer, we're recommended the PDX Sampler which consists of a Quesotaco, Vampiro, Mulita, and Birria Taco. As we're browsing their menu, a guy went up to the owner and blasted how much he enjoyed the plate, saying that it's one of the best things he's eaten in his life, so we couldn't skip this. And it's as good as he said. I loved the variety and the quality of each item was great. Personal favorites were the Mulita and Vampiro. They contrast but compliment each other with the Mulita being gooey and cheesy while the Vampiro crunchy. The plate also came with a serving of consume that was delectable but not overly heavy. We also tried the Crunch Wrap that was again a great invention. Crispy tortilla filled with beans, rice, birria, hot cheetos, even crispier tortilla, and cheese. Very fun to eat. The hot sauce went very well with eveything too. The drinks were all housemade and delicious as well. We got the refreshing Jamaica hibiscus drink and the creamy Horchata. To be frank, food was about a 4 for me but the person managing the truck pushed it to a 5. Super excited and friendly; they've got great energy explaining the different items. Go give them some love!

Finally a Birrieria PDX location close in to downtown! No need to drive out to SE Division or 82nd, this new food truck location is right across the Hawthorne Bridge, corner of SE 7th and Madison. All your favorites available, including that incredible, rich, beef consume for dipping! Have to admit, the first time I ventured out to the east side to try this style taco - with cheese, fried, dip in both - my tastebuds were still clinging to the idea of a street taco and couldn't really make the adjustment. I just love a basic corn tortilla filled with carnitas and simply topped with chopped onion, cilantro and fresh lime. The fried version threw me off. After spotting this new location, I decided to give it another try, knowing exactly what I was getting - fried food and melted cheese! Ordered the quesabirria, a quesadilla loaded with that tender stewed beef, onions, cilantro and cheese deep fried. It was ooey ,gooey, deliciousness! Was able to park right on Madison in a free spot. They are located in a paid parking lot so that's also an option. To accommodate the weather, they set up a tent with several tables so you can eat there, which I recommend so that your food is nice and hot and the cheese all melty. Lots of options - the combo is a great first choice so you can try a few different versions of basically the same thing. Meat, cheese, tortilla - fried! Their hot sauce is actually hot, which I love! Can't say I would eat this on a regular basis as it's filled with a lot of things I eat in moderation, but for when that craving hits, I will hop over the Hawthorne Bridge and indulge.

Whenever I am craving birria, tacos, or even ramen, Birrieria PDX is always my first thought. I would drive all the way to the Portland area for some birria. I ordered the PDX Sampler so I can mukbang the variety of options they serve in one order and each item did not disappoint. Only thing I would say about this place is that I waited a while for my food to be ready. But that is understandable because everytime I go, there is always a long line. That just says alot about how good this spot is!

Tasty, albeit tiny, burritos. Not much for a dine-in, but speedy and reliable takeaway option.

Also, fyi, on apple map, it lists the new Beaverton loc as only open 7:30-10 pm, this is not true. I confirmed it with the employees at the food truck. We are so happy we tried this place. We almost didn't, because we have been let down so many times trying to get good Mexican food. Maybe that is the way to try out something new, with very low expectations. In this case, it really worked. We got chicken burritos. I confirm also that it is chicken breast, and it is grilled. Wow, it's crazy good chicken, so much flavor. This is as good or better than El Jefe. The burrito was large and I finished it all. I think they forgot to add in some of the things to have everything included but even with that it was still the best burrito we have had in PDX. I think it was missing cilantro, pickled onions, sour cream and maybe cheese and still it has so much flavor. Can you imagine how good it could be. We will be back. They use whole peruvian beans, that's a nice touch. Good salsa too. No Jamaica. It would be great to list the Beaverton loc on the website and list phone numbers. We really wanted to try it, but thought it was closed. I'd like everything to be hotter too. Everyone was friendly.
