Worst, most inedible carnitas (?) ever! They were so dry/desiccated/old that at first I thought someone had left a piece of bone in it. I spit out what I thought was a bone, and took another bite...I got a mouthful of hard, old, crunchy (not in a good way) pork. The burrito was huge and looked great, but in the trash it went. I'd personally prefer a touch more heat or salt, but the flavor was there. Service was warm and genuine, even during the dinner rush. Chips and salsa landed quickly, drinks stayed topped off, and our server checked in without hovering. The only ding--and why it's four stars instead of five--was timing: entrées took a bit longer than expected, and the music was a tad loud for conversation at peak hour. Prices felt fair for the portions. I finished with fried ice cream that arrived crisp and golden outside, cold and creamy inside, with just enough drizzle to keep it fun without being cloying. We ordered the tripa and al pastor tacos, an asada burrito, botana a la cora, and a pineapple agua fresca. The shrimp in the botana were big and flavorful, although the dish was a little salty for our taste. The tacos were actually really good--full of flavor and well-seasoned. We were also surprised by how big the burrito was for the price; definitely a great value! The pineapple agua fresca was perfectly balanced--not overly sweet, which we really appreciated. We also loved the large cups of water, a small detail that makes a difference! The customer service was very friendly and attentive, and we're definitely looking forward to coming back to try more items from the menu. Overall, this is a great Mexican restaurant! I do wish they offered more agua fresca flavors. The only choices were horchata and jamaica. The jamaica was refreshing, but the flavor has an aftertaste that takes some getting used to. It just wasn't my personal favorite. The restaurant was clean, and the service was excellent. One thing to note is that no one greeted me when I first walked in, so I wasn't sure if I was supposed to seat myself or order first. Since it had been a long time since my last visit, I couldn't remember how it worked. Thankfully, a staff member noticed me right away, asked if I was dining in, how many were in my party, and got me seated. The staff was friendly and attentive throughout my visit. Overall, I enjoyed my meal and definitely plan to come back to try more of their menu.

I got ordered 2 chicken tacos with mild sauce, which came with green sauce. The chicken was perfectly grilled and tender and there was lots of it. My tacos were overflowing. He did have to get a lime Jaritos to offset some of the heat. But that's a sign of perfect heat. The FOL got mild tacos with green sauce. After the chips and bowl of salsa, it was a little spicy for him. But he's old. They brought out some sliced radishes without any request to kill the heat for him, which was very thoughtful.
